  1. My 31x10.5 m/ts are pretty damn loud, especially when turning. I'd say turn the music down and listen when you turn, if the same sound gets louder, i'd bet its the tires.
  2. I still can't get past the fact that they filled it with oil. haha. Hopefully they picked premium/high mileage grade?? what did the empty bottles say??? Definitely sorry to hear about it getting stolen though.. that makes me wanna get an alarm system even more badly now. Theres nothing i hate more than thieves...
  3. i may not have grim, i had worked all day, and got out there around 10:30, and undid everything while it was snowing, i gave them a good rubbin with steel wool, and plugged it back in, but it didn't work. I'm not too worried though.... edicer is sendin me a switch, so i'm just gonna not be able to drive at night for a couple days. -Zepp
  4. So cleaning of the connections did not work, i'm taking edicer up on his offer. Thanks for the help all -Zepp
  5. I've got some fine steel wool that i am going to use, i just got home from work (it's 10:22, and snowing...), and i've got alotta driving to do tomorrow... so hopefully this will work, otherwise, i'm kinda SOL on driving at night! time to bundle up and hit the pathy! -Zepp
  6. sweet! any specific cleaning solution you recommend? or just a good wipe down? Thanks! -Zepp
  7. yeah, i was thinkin about doin that with my KCs Adam, but i don't think cops would like that much.. they are at the level of normal headlights though, so idk!?
  8. Yup, i just went to the dealership, and they didn't have one in stock, and i figured i'd rather give edicer some $ than those guys, especially since i'm waiting either way! I've got paypal ready and everything, so just let me know edicer!!
  9. PM'd! i'm gonna hit the dealer real quick though, cuz i would like to have it in by tomorrow. i have to do alot of driving, and alot is at night, and i don't want it to go out on me... i'll letya know tho Edicer. thanks dude!
  10. Where and what exactly is the combination switch? Is it the "thing" that comes out of the steering wheel, that is turned to turn on the headlights/driving lights? haha. or is that too easy, and it's something completely different? but yeah, that sounds to be what mine is doing! Thanks! -Zepp
  11. Okay, so i know something is wrong in my wiring with my headlights. I was driving at night to pick my sister up from school, and my headlights randomly went off. BOTH of them did. The two outer lights that are the daytime driving lights i think? both stayed on, but my headlights just randomly shut off. I didn't go over a bump or anything, i was just making a right turn, and they shut off. I returned home, and they came back on for a second, and then turned back off. Today... same thing, on, then randomly off. This has never happened before, and i'm not positive what the problem could be. I ruled out fuse, because they turn back on sometimes, so it can't be a fuse. I haven't been able to check it out yet, but i have tomorrow all day off until 5. It luckily is snowing as we speak though... Anyway, i was wondering if anybody has a wiring schematic diagram or anything that i can view to chase the wiring to find where there's a weak/corroded connection? Any other ideas of where i should look? i appreciate it everybody! -Zepp
  12. that's about what my old pathfinder sounded like... so i got a new pathfinder. haha
  13. Better late than never, eh? Well done Aaron!
  14. Dang. i missed fall. It was here for like two days. I never even raked once! we did though get a nice hailstorm that trashed my entire block. so... i raked green leaves! ha. heres a picture of that too! pictures really make threads way easier to look at. haha, even if they are incredibly off topic. sorry about that! ha -Zepp
  15. haha, it was like that the day before the snow hit. Schools and business were closed for two days. we had some fun in the snow yeah B, the sidewalk mechanics work can be quite the problem when the weather likes to play tricks. tomorrow is supposed to be around 50-60, so it's a little chillier than i'd like, but my sidewalk/gutter/street shop is nice and dry for the most part! haha -Zepp
  16. Thanks for the help guys. I'm tacklin this in between classes tomorrow, and i'll be drivin my old pathfinder until it's done. I never realized how truly horrible the brakes and clutch were in the old 87. haha. anyway, i'll hopefully be able to at least finish the ball joints in my 5 hour break luckily the huge snow storm we had has already melted and it only finished snowing two days ago... oh colorado
  17. Alright, so after lifting my new pathy, i've needed an alignment bad. I've been crazy busy with work and school, and haven't been able to get around to taking it in until a couple days ago. I brought it in, and they told me my lower ball joints, and center link needs to be replaced (or the center link needs to be bent). when putting on my rough country UCAs i replaced the upper ball joints, and saw that i probably should do the lowers as well, but i didn't really feel like doing it.... bad idea. anyway, mainly my question is about the center link. the guy at the shop said it's bent, and i could have "somebody" bend it back, but i don't really know what that entails. I searched for new center links and they seem to be runnin about 160. What do you guys think i should do? try and bend the old center link back, even though i really don't know what i would be doing? or just drop the bill and a half for the new one, or is there another option? Aftermarket stronger Center links? should i install a steering stabilizer while in there? also, about the lower ball joint. anything i need to look out for? i've messed with the upper UCAs, and pretty much every other steering component a million times, but i've never touched the lowers on either of my pathys. will the torsion bar do anything when i unattach stuff, like the lower BJs, or is there a trick to anything? thanks! -Zepp
  18. Hey Nytro, do you have a YouTube clip of your truck? so i can see what it sounds like?? thanks! -Zepp
  19. hey Grim, i was lookin at that exhaust, and was gonna see if anybody had it. How do you like the sound? do you notice an increase in horsies?
  20. OOOhh, i'm likin the new board!! how shiny anyway... my first pathfinder, i've had for about 3 years now, and my 2nd, i've had for around a month . I'm definitely not one of the longest owners, but my first pathy was the first vehicle i have ever worked on at all. Before it i had never even put air in another car/trucks tires! I've learned so much with my 87. Starting with my first oil change, to my timing belt, water pump, entire cooling system... the list goes on. And i did it all on my own. Mostly with a 20 dollar "Team Mechanics" toolset from walmart. haha i've upgraded to some great Craftsmen tools now (My team mechanics, and beginning of craftsmen collection got stolen outta my pathy about 6 months ago... Bastards!) Anyway. I've had two vehicles, both being pathys, and i never plan on leaving nissan, or pathfinders, for that matter! -Zepp
  21. Also, where is the lean? more in the front or the rear?
  22. after cranking your torsion bar that much, i'd check the top part of the frame that the torsion bar's bolt goes through, you may have only got 1/4" higher because the metal is bending where the lower bolt rests on the mount. that happened to me when cranking my passenger side -zepp
  23. Awesome!! thanks a bunch guys! i can't get to it til this weekend... unfortunately, but thanks! i'll let you all know what i did wrong once i find it. haha
  24. ooo wowwwww. auto auto auto!!! my bad, my desire to have manuals came out there in my title but yeah, auto hubs. sorry! lemme change it.
