  1. If you do end up going with the door jam system, the easiest way to attach the lights will be to buy four "L" CB mounts for the bar. The antenna hole is the perfect diameter for KC's, Harbor Freight, Hellas, and i assume any other kind of auxiliary lighting you'd be interested in installing.
  2. RIP brotha, i'm sure there will be plenty of wheelin to be done in heaven!
  3. WOW!!!! looks awesome man!!!! spring time is swimmin time for pathys!!
  4. Congrats zanman!!! i think i speak for everybody when i say... it's about time!!! -Zepp
  5. Pretty steep decline on Fins 'n Things And the scratch left from my hitch! Some archs... and of course, evening unicycling at slick rock!
  6. Well!!! what a great trip, i just finished uploadin to photobucket, and here is a selection of pictures from the trip! my camera unfortunately got sand in the lens, so it kinda blows at focusing... new camera time. Anyway, here are some pictures!! At Camp All the Bikes! Camp from above! Down baby lions back and into the water below! Initial depth test Comin back through
  7. Hey evurbody, i'm going wheelin and mountain biking in Moab this monday through friday for spring break. I know its a bit short notice, but if anybody happens to be down there we should tackle a trail or two! -Zepp (email me if you do happen to be there and we can swap numbers and meet up!) zeppelindrummer@gmail.com
  8. Yeah, i'm pretty sure something is lose in the steering column. Cuz i can turn them off whenever i want now, by jerking the steering wheel right a little bit, and left turns them right back on. It's been snowing alot lately, so i haven't been able to get around to fixing the connection. I'm nearly certain that is the problem though, so soon as it warms up i'll fix em. -Zepp
  9. Thanks for that photo btw ben, i'll check them with my voltometer and see what i come up with...
  10. I followed all the cables under the hood, and everything looks stock, super taped up, and untouched. That's why it'll be a huge PIA to try and find something that looks like it's messed up, because everything looks as it should, eventhough, somewhere, something is effed. That's why i wanna take the easy road, and just wire up an AUX switch to the lights so i can finally drive again. Zanman, come over. i'll pay for half your gas. lets figure out my lights, and then go muddin! -Zepp
  11. Wow, that was a pain, everything looks solid, and i'm not going to go and undo all of the wiring to see if i can find something wrong.. because i'm pretty sure i wont be able to visually notice anything wrong. I might just hardwire the headlights in with an auxilary switch. Does that sound like a... horrible idea? I'm just unsure on the volts/watts of the headlights, and how the high/low beams would work if i were to do that. -Zepp
  12. Thanks B! the help is much appreciated! -Zepp
  13. Well i just went and did some trouble shooting on the very dark drive home from work. haha So if i make a hard jerk to the left with the steering wheel, i've found the lights will turn back on. I was heading to the local mudpit, which is frozen in spots, so i figured i'd be a bumpy ride (trying to see if the bump is what's causing the off turning of the lights) And it isn't. Im pretty sure its not the switch, because going crazy turning the switch on and off brights/normal beams, did nothing. in return with the left/on rule, i'm pretty sure turning right turns them back off. I feel like, a wire/wires in the steering column must be pulled and compressed causing the lights to turn on and back off. I'm checking it out tomorrow morning, so i'll report back with my findings!! wish me luck! -Zepp
  14. so it might not be way up where their cables from the switch would be together?
  15. I'll clean these pins, i'm also gonna follow the lines (thanks adam for the email/diagram) and i'll hopefully run into a weak/bad connection that is an easy fix. I hate electrical, but it's something that's gotta be done! -Zepp
  16. yeah... mine seem to not turn on, more than they want to be on, so i need to find the lose connection. It's obviously not anywhere near just the single light, because otherwise only one would go out. So i'm assuming it's somewhere close in the dashboard or in the steering column? I'll start my search friday. Any input would be helpful, if anybody has a wiring schematic for the headlights out of a haynes or chiltons, that would be awesome, i just ordered one, cuz i lost my old one, and they don't have them at my auto stores... i have to special order them. Thanks -Zepp
  17. So..... pretty major bummer, i got the newer switch from edicer, and it worked at first, but today i was heading home from work, and my damn lights went out again!!! i hadn't driven my pathy at night, until today though, because as i got the new switch, i had my brake problem, so it was parked for a while. could it be a deeper problem? or should i buy a NEW switch from the dealer, and test my luck with that 90 dollar investment? Thanks -Zepp
  18. So the braking is fixed! it was just air in the lines, i replaced the wheel cylinders, which is where the rear bleeder attaches, and i bled the brakes. Good as new! Thanks for the input guys, kept me from going out and buying an unneeded master cylinder. -Zepp
  19. Yeah it's Drum in the rear.... i just went to get the parts, but they have to special order them. This is turning into a huge hassle. i have a brand new pack of easy outs i got for christmas, but it seems kinda useless to try and remove the broken bleeder screw, if i don't have a new one to put in right now. Plus i'm having a Murphy's law kind of month... so i'm not exactly in the greatest mood. i'll probably end up putting a screwdriver through my door just kidding, haha, but this blows. I told my dad what was going, and now i feel bad, cuz i was pretty bummed, and he told me that somebody used his SS number to do their taxes, so now he has to go through a bunch of crap to deal with this identity theft, AND him and my mom don't get their refund which they definitely need... My problem seems a bit smaller...
  20. Wow, i can't believe this..... My silly pun, turned into complete reality, and i broke the passenger rear bleeder off, i could tell it seemed to be pretty soft, but it just... broke, right off. Looks like i'm going to be pathfinderless for longer than expected. Hopefully no snow comes any time soon.... SOB -Zepp
  21. lol no B, my pathy does not need viagra. I just checked the MC like Grim said, and there weren't bubbles in the reservoir. I'm gonna go bleed the brakes again. I just tried driving it, and there is pretty much NO stopping power whatsoever, which is very frustrating. Im going to bleed the system, last time the rear bleeders were really tight, and i didn't wanna brake them (no pun intended) haha so i waited til i had some liquid wrench to lube em up a little bit. Back to the pathy... luckily it's not snowing, like it is in every surrounding city. -Zepp
  22. So theres no leak around the Master cylinder still, but i forgot that my "ABS" light came on relatively recently, and since then, the brakes have been getting worse. It never even crossed my mind, that it could be my ABS system? i honestly didn't even know i had them. Do you guys think that could be the problem? I Didn't have a chance to check it out myself yet, because i just got home from work, and it's nearly 9. -Zepp
  23. Because the rotors were so crappy to begin with, i had planned on replacing everything. (Rotors, Calipers, Pads) but i did not plan on the master cylinder. I can't bleed them tomorrow, because i work a double, but friday i will get on it, and hopefully get to the bottom of the problem. Thanks again -Zepp
  24. it's a genuine nissan master... and i feel ya, i'll try and get the backs done tomorrow... well i'll do the whole thing again tomorrow to see if that's the problem.
  25. So the last two weeks or so, in the morning when i'd be on my way to work, my pathfinder's brakes would not work really at all the first time i would try and use them. After one push, and a pump or two they seemed to gain enough pressure to work fine, and i figured i would just need to bleed them, and they would be fine. Today though i bled them (Only the front, the backs were a pain, and i wanted to see if just the front would do the trick, plus it was getting dark) anyway, the braking is still awful. There is hardly any pressure when i press on the pedal and it takes quite a while for my pathy to come to a stop, which it does, eventually do. I checked the master cylinder and it doesn't seem to have any leaks. there is obvious gunk around the seals though, but i'm pretty sure it's always been like that. When i first got this pathy the brakes were a huge improvement to my old pathfinder, and pretty much any other car i had ever driven. and now they are just awful. Since i got the pathfinder, it has had the squeaky brakes, telling me i need new pads, and the rotors are not in the greatest shape either, there is no bump or jiggle or anything when braking, which leads me to believe it could not necessarily be the rotors or brake pads?! ... am i wrong? I was planning on replacing my brake pads once it warmed up a little bit more, but i may have to do it sooner than hoped? Or is the problem most likely the master cylinder? Thanks! -Zepp
