  1. I was wondering the same thing. I want to install some additional lights but keep the interior stock with stock switchs. I have look on the web but no luck yet.
  2. Is it really a PITA to replace the PCV on and 2001 and up. I was looking into it to because I already have the part. It looks like I have to remove the upper and lower pelnum (aka intake manifold as I like to call them) That seems like a lots of work and it would almost seem like something you would do when you raplace valve cover gaskets. Anyone try it yet on there 3.5's?
  3. X - thanks for the info. i did replace the strut bearing when I installed the new struts. There is no popping noise just a rubbing sound. I'm just going to leave it alone for now since it only happens once when I turn the wheel for the first time. This might be what marc is hearing?
  4. Ok, sprayed everything down but that is not the problem. Looks like it's the new brake pads I installed a couple of months ago. They tend to rub a little when I turn the wheel for the first time. I can't figure out why they would rub but I think that's the problem.

    Crunch

Looks good. Seems like you had a good body shop.
  6. I average about 17 mpg in the city. Last fill up was 17.59 and that was after an oil change. I usually get about 300 miles a tank before the fuel light comes on and around 330 to 340 I start worry an will pull into a gas station. The best I ever got in the city was 20 mpg and the was with a lot of honking at the green lights (people behind me) and throwing my manual into "N" way before the red light.
  7. Thank Herm, that's what i figure. I'm going to try an lift it next weekend and get everything sprayed down.
  8. I don't get any kind cluncking sound, and the noise I hear only happens once when i turn the wheel for the first time. I have looked at it as close as I can without taking it apart. In your case it sounds like the strut bearing might be bad. Did you replase these when you installed your new springs?
  9. OK, I think I figured out what the noise is. I took my PF to the local alignment shop to get the tires rotated and balanced. They are pretty cool down there and I asked if they would take a look at my strut installation and see if there was anything I did while installing that might cause the noise. From what they could see everything looked good. They said the noise could be the strut mount bearings but since it only happens the first time I turn the wheel and not after, more then likely that’s not it. More then likely he said it was the gaskets around the shaft of the struts making the noise when I turn the wheel. So I’m going to try an spray some silicon lube up under the strut boot a lube it up a bit. Eventually I guess it will wear in.
  10. Can you get a close up on how you ran the wiring into the truck. I'm wanting to mount some lights for the rear on my thule rack.
  11. Just wondering if anyone else has the same thing going on after they lift there Pathfinder. I have about 3,000 miles on my OME suspension upgrade. Recently I have notice after my pf sits for long periods of time, usual over night or after 9 hours at work, when I turn the wheel for the first time it make this noise almost like rubber on metal or rubber on rubber. The best way to describe the sound would be if something sat for a long time and then you moved it, like a stiff sound. It only does it when I turn the wheel to the left or right for the first time then its ok. Does anyone else notice the same sound with a suspension upgrade? Any idea on what it could be? Is it just the springs settling or is something I need to look into further? I really don’t feel like taking the front end apart again. Thanks
  12. The sensor here runs from about $87 to $125 from the dealer, depending on which sensor needs to be replaced.
  13. Could be strut mount bearings? Anyone else want to take a guess?
  14. 3 of my friends and I went to Oxford Mississippi to Mountain bike this weekend, so I really had to loaded up the old Pathfinder. I had three bikes on top, one bike inside, all the gear and front tires, plus me and my three friends. I would also like to give some props out to the OME springs and shock they held all the weight great. With my old suspension the back of the Pathfinder would have been on the ground. . Any one else got pics of there Pathfinder loaded?
  15. Yes lift it. It's worth it. With a 1 inch lift you souldn't have any problems 4 or 2 wheel drive. It works and rides great on my 2x4. As for the 2 inch lift you might run into a couple of problems with the 4x4 cv axles I think but I'm sure thier are people on here that can give you better information on that since I don't have to worry about it.
  16. I had the O2 Sensor replaced with the update on the computer an it came out to be $273.09. Sounds like your guy is trying to make some extra $$$$. I had mine done at the stealer so it was about $65 for the reprogram, $100 + for the O2 sensor and whatever for labor at tax. hope that helps.
  17. I wouldn't. Why the don't you cut the bike rack down and drill a new hole in it?
  18. I had my ECU update after my second o2 sensor went out. I check a couple of dealers and got the same price $65 for an update (1 hour labor) plus the cost of the O2 sensor. The update wasn’t covered under warranty because it was part of the emission that wasn’t covered under the emission warrant. I confirmed this with the owner’s manual, because I don’t trust anything the dealer says. Anyway the results were good, the truck runs a lot smoother and the shake I had at ideal is gone, plus my SES light hasn’t given me anymore trouble. I would recommend it. It’s was $65 well spent.
  19. The dealer recommended Pensoil 80w 90 gl-5 formulated for lsd for 2001 Pathfinder.
  20. Happy Birthday. I'll meet you there in a couple of months when I turn 29.
  21. I ordered my OME springs from them. They were a little slow (about 3 weeks) due to that they did not have it in stock.
  22. With the luck I have had with the SES light I would say it's an o2 sensor or the vts. They final had to reprogram my computer, or update, whatever, and as of now no problems. Just my 2 cents.
  23. OME spring should have no effect on the gas gauge.
