  1. I have already lifted my rear with OME springs and Shock, and now I’m about to start on the front. Question? Should I get the medium or heavy duty spring? I have medium in the rear. Questions? Also since I’m replacing the springs should I go ahead and replace the struts and strut mounts? Thanks
  2. Pretty much anything is better then stock, well almost anything. As for the brakes I can’t really say. They were $80.00 for the front axle which seems a lot for brakes. They are ceramic and should have a longer life then stock brakes. Also they should have less brake dust as well. They stop well and don’t make any squeaks or vibrations. As for how much better ask me again in 20,000 miles.
  3. I don’t know about the manifold, but you mentioned a ticking sound. Is it more like a pinging sound like you valves maybe? As far as the rear control arms, knowing Nissan they will probably just replace the whole control arm instead of just the bushings. Did you price new control arms at Nissan? If you do it yourself I have heard removing the control arm can be a %$@$# and you might have to cut and replace the bolts. As for bushing I hear AC has polys but good luck in finding someone to press them in for cheep. I don’t look forward to the day I get the wobbles.
  4. I have had my SES light come on 3 times in the last 10,000 miles all for different things. My general rule is 3 strikes and you are out. I will clear the code and if the same code comes back 3 times, then I will replace the part. If doesn’t come on again don’t worry about. But that's just me.
  5. Why didn't you do the front end yourself? I'm just wondering because I'm ordering my front OME spring and I was thinking of doing it my self. I figure its got to be easyer then working on a honda civic. How much did pep. charge for just installing the springs?
  6. Thank Herm. I got them installed today and they seem to work great.
  7. I had one on my Pathfinder but sold it. It sucks gas. Milage drop from 17/16 miles to 14/13. Wasn't worth it, as little as I used it.
  8. Nice, Hey what are the specs on those tires and wheels. How does it feel?
  9. I used STP and it seems to work pretty well.
  10. Just go to autozone (if they have it in your area) or some other parts store and most of them will check and rest it for free. Or you can do the battery thing and that might work, but I would go somewhere and get it cleared.
  11. My Pathfinder is just too pretty to get muddy. The only trails she sees are the ones leading up to the bike trails. But that didn't stop me from getting her a little higher of the ground with OMEs and a set BF A/Ts.
  12. You can get silicon spray at a parts store like Autozone.
  13. Strut? Strut Mount? CV is more of a clicking sound.
  14. I stand corrected. I just tried it again but this time with a lot more spray and it worked. Thanks
  15. Tried the silicone spray about a month ago on my PF. Had no results???
  16. I just got some Hawk Performance Ceramic brake pads. Anyone work with these? I’m putting them on this weekend.
  17. It’s kind of weird that it is only the driver’s side window, well at least on my PF. Next time I change my oil (in about 1500 miles) I’ll take the door apart an let everyone know what find and if I fixed it. -study-
  18. It's right under your driver's seat on the exhaust pipe after the cat. You can't miss it. It look like a spark plug with two wire sticking out of it. If you got an OEM O2 sensor double check the the color of the wires. I think Bank 2 Sensor 2 has a gray wire and blue wire?????? Hope that helps.
  19. Ah, I see you have the 33 engine and it is one piece, the 35 has a two pc oil pan.
  20. vengeful, $1100.00 to replace the oil pan? Dosn't it have have the lower oil pan like the 2001's? You can get a lower oil pan for around $60-90, just wondering? Anyway I 2nd. 3d , 4th and etc....not going to the dealer. I figure if they can't get the right amount of oil in my car, then they don't need to touch it.
  21. I have a SE and yes it's on stock rims. The stock tire size was P255/65 R16 106 S and the A/T's I have are LT 225/75 R16 110/107 Q M and S. They fit fine but a little more narrow then stock. Once these run their life I'm getting a set of Rock Crawler Rims and a little wider tire.
  22. I live down here in the south and we don’t get snow, we get ice. Last month we had a bad ice storm; it was so bad you could skate on it. Unfortunately a lot of people decided to use their automobiles and not there skates. I found myself stuck in it on the way home from work with my M/T 2 Wheel Driver PF. This was the first time I experienced this since I bought my PF new in 2001, because we don’t get a lot of weather like this down here. I found the same problem with the rear end wanting to try and work its way around. Fortunately I upgrade to a set of BF Goodwrench All-terrain T/A’s last year, and with a good set of tire, starting out slow in second gear, I found my self making it up hills where 4x4 Jeep Grand Cherokees could not. In the rain I almost have do problems, but before I got my T/A's I was sliding all over the place on those stock tires.
  23. I have the same problem with my driver's side window. I'm going to take the door panel off sometime soon and check every thing. I think it's just a lube problem.
