  1. Anyone. Once your purchased your CB did you have it peaked and tuned. If not how was the reception quality? Been gone for awhile but I'm back.
  2. Wheel- Thank you. My friend told me about Amsoil. He said it was good stuff. I returned the Valvoline today and I think I'll order the Amsoil with the LSD additive.
  3. Has anyone used this for their Diff Fluid? http://www.valvoline.com/pages/products/pr...l.asp?product=2 I just got 3 QT and want to make sure it will work in my 2001 PF with LSD. It says "recommended for all hypoid differentials (conventional and limited slip)..." Let me know. Thanks
  4. $60.00 an hour x 3 hours. Just a guess.
  5. I read in Consumer Reports that it is better to roll up your windows after 40mph and turn on the AC, because from 40 to 50 mph you burn 10% more gas then you would with the AC on do to drag. It increases 10% for ever 10 miles you go over 40 mph. So you would probably laugh if you saw me, because once I get close to 45 or 50 mph the windows are up. It’s been relatively cool here so I just turn on the vent and leave the sunroof open. Doing this, plus letting my car coasting to red lights in neutral, light peddling, 5th gearing around 40 mph, and keeping under 2000rpms gets me anywhere from 21 to 25 mph in the city. And don’t forget good up keep. i.e. Checking the tire pressure, air filter, fuel filter, oil, etc. As far as selling it I don’t think so. It’s almost paid off and I rather buy gas then have a car note. Plus you only save about $500 to $600 (based on 10,000 miles a year) a year on fuel if you have a car that gets 30mpg as apposed to a car that gets 20mpg. I might look into getting a motorcycle, but that’s got its troubles to if you plan to driver it here in Memphis. Pay more for gas in my SUV, or ride a motorcycle and die? We will have to see how high gas gets.
  6. Nice truck. I have always liked that color green. I agree with XPLORx4, if you get new tires you might as well get new wheels. I wish I did, actually I wish I got 31's when I got new tires. Oh well, next time I guess. I would also recommend getting new struts and shock if you are doing a lift. It's a little more $$$ but worth it and you will only have to do the job once. Good luck and make sure to post updates.
  7. My Bose CD player did the same thing. I didn't want to pay big $$$ for a new system so I mailed it of to Clarion plus $110 check and 3 weeks later I had it back and fixed. They said the cause might have been the paper cd covers I put on my burned CD's. I've had it about 3 months now after it was fixed and no problems.
  8. That's why I got my OME spring. When I pulled my trailer my stock spring would just sink to the ground, but not OME.
  9. To bad it's not a 2001 +. It would be alot easier.
  10. I finally got my back up lights installed. I chose the Blazer brand lights that you can get from auto zone because they are inexpensive and will match the Thule lights I plan to get in the future. Also plan to put some on the sides as well and for as much as I will use them this was a good deal. I used 14 gauge wire and the lights are connected with quick connects so I can change them out in the future if I like. Also the wire can easily be disconnected at the base of the bike rack incase I would like to disconnect the rack from the car. I use a 30amp relay and 15 amp fuse from the battery to the relay. I connected the power for the switch from the cigarette liter. I went with what I like to call the BIG RED switch, because I think it look pretty good and it’s really bright so if I leave the lights on I’ll know it. The switch still look a little off center but I will fix that shortly. Click here for more pictures: LIGHT PICTURES
  11. Yeah, it was about $85. He use 3M tint. I think i'm going to the rest of the windows in the near future at 35 or 20%. That should give me about 10 in the back and 20 up front. But I'm saving for a house so the mods will be slow, cheep and far between within the next year.
  12. Well i final got my windows tinted. I just did the front two and the sun roof with 20% tint. They match up pretty good on the out side but you can notice it on the inside. Here are a couple of pictures for those who want to see how close they match.
  13. I order my spring and rear shock from Rocky Road. i ordered my front struts from Rock Auto. I went with KYB. They are a little stiffer.
  14. Nasty- I rode with just the rear coils for a couple of months untill I saved up for the front. Your pathfinder will be alot higher in the rear then you would thing. It will look like you are going down hill all the time. Plus the coils are rated different so your pathfinder will feel a little funny. It will ride stiff in the rear and soft up front. I would recommend getting both the front and rear coils since you are replacing the front struts anyway. I would do it all at once and I think you would be happier with the feel and look.
  15. DJ, your pathfinder looks much better now!
  16. Nastypathy - i got the lights mount but I'm still working on the wiring. If it ever stops raining I'll get it done. Here is the switch I'm going to use and I'll mount it in one of the spare plates. I think it will look the cleanest...Pilot Switch
  17. 01- I went with the Medium and I'm very happy with it. The fit and ride are good even if the price is a little high.
  18. Looks good to me. Let me know when they are ready.
  19. I have the same setup on my Pathfinder minus the tires. I think you will be very happy.
  20. Castrol GTX 10w 30 every 3,000 miles.
  21. I'm going to add some rear back up lights this weekend I hope, and eventually followed by some side lights and front top lights. I'll post a pick of the switch I decide to use.
  22. Great Idea. Unfortunately if someone smash my back door window just get my lunch box, I would hate to see what they would do it actually had something real in my car. Plus the back hatch window is a lot more $$$$.
  23. Looks good. I like the add Bling Bling mud. I can hardly wait tell I pay my PF off, then I can really have some fun. Less then a year to go. :cool2:
  24. abomb, I agree. I wish I got new wheels when I bought tires. I guess I have to wait to next go around.
