Wondering if this is an ignition switch issue...

Does it do this only when turning and under load or will it do it in the driveway in park? Does it do it onyl after it has been running for a while?

No they do not. Though the oil cooler O-ring gaskets and the engine oil pressure switch will leak after time.

On each hedlamp there are two adjustment bolts at the top and a nut at the bottom of the headlamp. On the headlight brakcet there is also a nut at the bottom of the bracket. I suspect you are missing a nut at the bottom.

If you go to any dealer and try to order those cowl vent grilles, the part superceedes to the new number. It is the part number from the hardbody truck from production dates 01/96-08/97.

The 4.0L cats are vented a little more with the outside air and seem to last longer. 5.6L cats are crammed in there and puke for the same reason as the manifold mounted sentras. They get too hot.

the later version vent grilles do a better job. original version later version I have seen someone once that put chicken wire under the grille but it looked like crap IMHO. as far as 100% sure fire way....no.

Was it Baker North? Some of the 2013's had a few minor recalls and service campaigns. If there were any for your VIN number I would like to think your dealer did them before selling the car to you, but it never hurts to have the VIN checked to make sure.

Which dealership did you get it at? Is it a 2014 model? Despite my feelings of calling the R52 a Pathfinder, the R52 does drive and ride real smooth. I cant deny that at all. I like the color too!

along with the timing chain guides noted in the above comment, things we see down here to check/be aware of: Valve body failure due to coolant leak inside radiator on 04-07 models. Your 2008 should be ok but still recommend putting an external trans oil cooler on the truck. Rear parking brake shoes wearing out. Vehicles with automatic ac having the AC mode door actuator failing. Center console rear pull out cup holder breaking - usually from children manhandling it. nissan has a stronger replacement. Overhead consoles with drop down DVD players - the tabs holding it to the roof break and console falls down due to heat in summer and the weight of the console. Rear hatch lift struts need replacing every 2-3 years. that rear gate is super heavy. Cats on the manifolds failing. not as bad as some of the other vehicles, but no one seems to be able to build cats anymore.

rule one when buying a used vehicle: 1) take it a dealer and have them check it for oustanding recalls and service campaigns.

That is also what I perfer. The only trucks like ours I have seen with a real rumble to them are not street legal. On the 3.3L the cats alone drown out a lot of the noise before it ever gets to the baffles in the muffler. high flow cats and eleting the resonator will give you some more 'vrooom' but IMHO that can be a lot of $$ for a small gain.

I just wanted to say that this really pisses me off. I hate thieves. Of all the vehicles to take and all the people to do it to. Total conjecture ON my part, but i would think they were after it for the parts to either do a repair repair of their own or to sell some of the parts, or to take it to a salvage yard to get quick $. They may have towed it out with straps, but could have loaded it on a trailer after.

No. You need to replace the part. You can minimize the number of times the light comes on though after clearing the code by only filling up 3/4 of the way. Outside temp, humidity and pressure trigger this. Now that it is summer it will happen more often then when it is cold.

I just read though the entire level 2 technical bulletin. wow that was long and complex. On the Level 2 repair they pull the ABS sensors off for the repair. They might have not plugged on in all the way or something. You might want to have them recheck that. It was nice that they did an alignment on the vehicle since the recall doesnt cover that. (or pay the dealership for one)
