  1. How do you guys adjust your TPS or does it need adjustment? I messed with mine the other day and what Ive noticed is a change in idle
  2. sorry it was the front left tire that I hear this noise . it does it driving straight around 25mph. It kinda gets louder as the speed picks up. no noise hitting bumps or turning
  3. Well, finally convinced the wife that she should get a pathy. Bad part is she wont let me touch it . Only thing she wanted me to do is to take off the brushguard which made me happy coz I need one for my pathy and replace the old factory deck with another one.She wouldve been happy with the factory system except the diplay doesnt work anymore. After replacing the deck found out that the speakers are shot so replaced all 4 yesterday and shes happy 135K on this pathy and no frame rust (first thing i checked) Only problem is it makes a loud ticking popping type noise on the left front end.Checked the cv boot and they are new.Could it be the bearing or brakes? Here she is
  4. mine did the same thing about 4 months ago and just recently found out that one of my injector is bad. You might wanna have your injectors checked also. I also did a complete tune up on mine about 5-6 months prior to this happening so I was sure it wasnt my caps rotor plug and pli\ug wires
  5. Injector number 5 on mine.Thats what the shop diagnosed. I have it all apart now and tomorrow ill install the new injector and go from there.
  6. I have no choice but to take mine to a shop. Time is the enemy .I dont have all week to trouble shoot the problem plus they washed the truck for me
  7. After replacing cap, rotor and plugs and plug wires too its still doing the same thing. Found out that it was injector no.5 wasnt firing.Anyone had this problem before? I was going to have the stealership do the work for $500 including parts but I figured heck I need to replace my plenum anyways and ill tackle this tomorrow. Bought a white pathy for spare just in case I screw something up on this one
  8. Thanks guys. I did a tune about 6 months ago however I did not change the spark plug wires. 88 What should I look for when I check my cap and rotor? Could it be my distributor too? My ecu looks different than whats on the tutorial but I think this is what the 93 ecu looks like
  9. Hey guys.Havent been here for a while. How are you all doing? I figured id ask the experts on this matter. Few months back my pathy sstarted idling rough and it backfires when I drive it without having to warm it up in the morning. I figured that its my 02 sensor coz after wiggling the wires on the MAF sensor the idle didnt change Just had the chance to pull some codes on my 93 pathy and it didnt show any error on mode 1-4. Shows 55 on mode 2 When i pulled codes on mode 5 (real time diagnostic mode) I couldnt really tell if the green light is giving me 2 fkashes 3 times which is the MAF sensor or 4times for 0.2 seconds 3 times which is the ignition signal but it is flashing green light. So i figured its gotta be my MAF sensor , I replaced it with the one I got from the JY and to no luck it is still idling rough,So rough that the whole truck is vibrating. I cleaned it first with some alcohol on a cotton swab as per 88's tutorial. My question is could the one I replaced got wet internally coz I have a k&n filter and my drivers side headlight is off the pathy and was wondering if that filter sucked some water or have gotten wet damaginmg the Sensor? Can I let it dry out in the sun? Could the one I replaced it with be wet internally also coz when I bought it a few months back i doused it with electronic cleaner and left it in the garage never thinking to dry it out under the sun but the electonic cleaner should have evaporated by now Do i need to reset the ECU after installing a new sensor or have to do anything special? Thanks a bunch guys
  10. Been thinking of switching my Heater A/C manual controls to electronic controls and wanting to know if any of you guys has done this mod. Im thinking that the electronic control is not the only part I need.If anyone has done this please give me some info. Thanks
  11. thanks for the reply.Im going to start out with the diffs and tcase and in a few months I might switch my crankcase and trans to synthetic. I can get amsoil here
  12. Can I do Synthetic in the rea diff and regular in the front and tcase since the front is only being used intermittently? Unless I offroad a lot. What would you fellas recommend as far as brand on the Synt oil? for the diff and tcase
  13. That reminds me to do the tranny filter
  14. New rad cap cured the overflow problem. Thanks guys
  15. Ive used NGK plugs and wires and Ive also replaced my 02 sensor
  16. If you pick one up at the jy make sure all the tabs on it are not broken. One broken tab and that cowl vent isnt going to hold in there good. I had to replace all 3 on mine just the other day and when I was trying to snap a few in place it would snap ok but soon as I close the hood itll pop back out so I did some inspection on the cowl vent itself and sure enough it has a few broken tabs so I snapped another one on there without a single broken tab and it has held fine
  17. You dont have to remove the bolt all the way out thats inside the frame hole its got like a catch on the mounts that way if youre doing this by yourself the bumper just doesnt fall off .Lift up a little then pull out
  18. can you tie the new sensor end to the old sensor and just pull the old harness thru
  19. it was low yesterday when I took it to autozone and at the parking lot it was overflowing already without me having to top it off yet. Im going to try a new rad cap.I kinda thought that my rad cap is a bit loose when I removed it yesterday to check my coolant and putting it back on was the same.I hardly have to push down on it to lock it
  20. Thanks Bry. Does it need to be oem or one that I can pick up at autozone woulod work?
  21. Yesterday I checked my radiator and it needs some coolant so I put the cap back on and headed to autozone to pick some up.After being parked for about 15 mins there on the way back to my pathy I noticed that its overflowing from the reservoir so I top the radiator off and fill up the reservoir to the MAX level and headed home. about a few seconds after turning the motor off its overflowing on the reservoir again . I would say about a quarter to half a cup evetytime I turn the motor off. What would cause this? I know its not the radiator leaking coz the drip is coming just below the overflow hose on the reservoir on the drivers side Thanks fellas
  22. thats an option .Tried to fit it without having to bolt it and it looks ok and its big and heavy.A nice powdercoating would make it even better. How much do you think something like that would cost if I were to have one made? I know that CBI in Idaho can make just the prerunner with winch mount for around $700 .No skids though
  23. what do you guys think of this? Im debating whether to get this for $50 and do some repainting on it. Made out of galvanized pipe so its damn heavy
  24. A lot here uses this http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...mp;autoview=sku
