  1. I supplied them with 7 list of pathfinder for sale locally on craigslist and dealer that is comparable to mine and they agreed on that. Another thing I learned is according to the claims adjuster that they can not use kbb to base the actual cash value of my pathfinder... KELLEY BLUE BOOK: THE STATE OF WASH DOES NOT ALLOW THIS AS A WAY TO DETERMINE ACTUAL CASH VALUE. I think thiss is BS. I got her back with a clean title.. The difference between clear title and salvaging it is only $518. As long as you have everything to back up your claim like in my case , I have all my receipts and pictures
  2. I already know that. The point is to not give in...I understand that theyre in the business of protecting our investment and to not rip us off..If I wasnt given some advice by our neighbor I wouldve settled for $2000. Lesson learned
  3. Ill do that..Thanks bud
  4. Im hoping thats the case bro...ill find out later on this afternoon
  5. I havent check the oil sensor but I know for sure its not from my filter because I have a relo kit and can easily see the cap and 2 hoses attached to it and theres no sign of leakage and its sorrounded by thin dried up mud. I was afraid that somebody would say its the rear main seal. Im also hoping that when they poured the oil it just has some spills and made its way behind the motor..the valve cover is just covered with oil .The oil that I saw yesterday isnt even brownish, its the color of new oil but im not eliminating the possibilty of rear main seal; Thanks bud
  6. Thanks bud..Im draining the oil right now as we speak
  7. Thanks bud. I will be checking on those mentioned , soon as the battery gets a full charge I will check the ecu for error codes first. As far as the leak just above the crosspipe is that something serious?
  8. Got her back B .. it worked out well..Got what i wanted and thankfully the total loss claims adjuster is a truck lover also and knows the value of the parts that was stolen and the work that was put into the pathy. Now I just have to figure out why shes not starting and probably do a major interior exterior cleaning which ive been wanting to do for a long time One tip I can share with dealing with insurance is to never give up..They are going to try to screw you every chance they get..its sad but thats how they operate. Always use your options and never give in. You have the right to refuse their offer, what they were offering me at first is just absurd like you said and even my agent said the same thing,Just plain unreal Im just glad shes back and Im going to restore her back to its conditon before it was stolen Thanks for all the input guys
  9. Thanks bud..Ill do some thorough checking on those soon as I get the battery charged..ill keep you guys posted
  10. Hey guys a few question before I mess something up on my truck My pathy got stolen a few weeks back and finally got her back and sitting in my carport now. I tried starting her yesterday and it just cranks but wont start. Im going to try to put some gas on her today and try it again , I hope that it just ran out of gas. The guys at the tow yard where she was stored told me that they were able to start it but it was running rough and said it sounded like a bad valve What would cause it to crank and not start besides its maybe out of gas? I pulled the dip stick out and the oil level was past the full line...Whoever stole it put some oil in it and theres 3 quart of empty oil bottle in my trunk..I have no idea why but when my truck was up in the flatbed yesterday I took a quick peek underneath and theres oil leak just above my crosspipe I also smelled the oil in the dipstick and smells like a mixture of gas and oil Now after putting some gas on her later on and still wont start what should I be looking for guys? (please dont say a new motor..lol) Thanks fellas
  11. got yah..thatll make it easier for me...im going to compare the 93 and 94 at the jy and see if theyre the same..need to take pics too before I remove it so I got a reference when I put it back...Theres some wires disconnected on my column and I have no clue to where they go
  12. If I get it all from the same pathy the locksmith can just code it from the ignition and it should work on all the locks right? i gotta ask the locksmith see how much they would charge if i take in the ignition switch to them Im guessing it should come out off of a 90-93..I was looking at my wifes 94 and the steering column is different...is it the same ignition switch even the steering column cover is different?
  13. Thanks. I sent him a message Can a regular locksmith do this sort of work?
  14. Hey guys is it worth it for me to pick up a ignition switch from the jy without the keys and have it coded or just buy one on ebay with the keys already fitted for it? I also need to have all my locks coded..like passenger and drivers side and tailgate. I have not asked the jy yet but some of those donated rigs might still have the keys and they just removed it for safe keeping.
  15. I got the clear corner in australia and the clear turn signals on ebay..Ill find the box for the clear corner tomorrow and I can give you the name of the place where I bought em..pricey tho

  16. I checked at kbb under private property value in good condition and its valued at $3395..Im not sure if I should check it under retail value Private party value It doesnt give me an option of what the value is under Retail value in good condition but it does in excellent and it is $5120 Retail value
  17. Thanks Mark. Another sad thing with the insurance now is that they based the value using their own book called auto source..I checked that and its a salvage yard...Like i said before that I hope the damn claims adjuster did not value my pathy after the theft. Did some checking locally on craigslist and dealer and fair value is between $3000 to $4000 depending on mileage and condition.I can buy one for under $3000 but it will need some work...I just want to put my pathy back the way it was before it got stolen ..Now Im thinking of just building her back without the roof rack and try to keep her simple and focus on working on the suspension. I dont go offroading much anyways.Built her so that I can get around here in the winter months and all the work I did 2 years ago paid off last year when we had almost 5 feet of snow now they have transfered my claim to total loss and I told the claims adjuster that handled it the first time that Im not going to agree on their offer and what he offered me is an insult
  18. Heres an awesome deal on some weathertech $50 shipped..You need a W3 according to weathertechs site weathertech ebay
  19. Lets just say that it depreciated in value and its only been 2 years since ive added those parts thats missing I think its just fair for them to give me atleast half of the amount I originally paid for..If it totaled $2000 on those parts I should atleast get $1000..The total that I have are not just some figures that I come up with..They actually have receipts and I totaled them all I just contacted the claims adjuster and was told that the claim is now assigned to their total loss adjuster..I hope that the person my claim is assigned to this time is more reasonable. It just ticks me off that the value on the pathy the first claims adjuster gave me was absurd.Im betting that he took the value of my pathy the way it sits right now not before the accident. As far as going to court I dont think they would waste their time on a claim like mine...all they need to do is add an extra $1500 to to the $2000 theyre offering me...do you guys think that they would rather prolong this and go to court instead of settling the claim at a fair value? Im crossing my fingers on this one
  20. That is correct..I can take a check for $2000 and call it good or 2290 and they keep it. As far as the aftermarket stuff yes I do have receipts boxes and pictures of what I added on which I sent the insurance claims adjuster. He even called me to verify the list of the missing parts I sent him. All those parts were bought brand new, some on ebay some on rei and mountain gear. Im going to contact the towing company today where its stored as of yesterday and maybe till today and asked if that adjuster even checked my truck. What I think he did was checked the value on the vehicle and went by the pics I sent him..He mustve found out the value is way below what the damages are and just claim it as totaled and never even bothered to check or asses the damages personally Another thing is I did some checking on that auto source place that he told me they use to value a vehicle instead of nada or kelly and found out that that place is where you can buy insurance salvaged vehicle...I dont think its fair that he check the value on my rig at the stage where its in right now. Im going to have sone serious discussion with my agent today I will keep you guys posted
  21. ill call my agent tomorrow and ask him..thanks for the tip bud
  22. B I sure would like to find out who did it but then my wife reminded me that whoever stole it has my information and knows where we live because of the registration in the glove box. I think that the bumper damage was due to them trying to pull it out of the mud and strapped a chain or something on the bullbar and yanked the bumper with it.The top bracket on that bullbar is mounted on the bumpers factory brackets also.I checked that part and it looked like the brackets that I used to mount the bumper either snapped the bolt or it just moved since the hole for the top mount is extended with another strap that came with the body lift kit kinda like on an angle(L shape).. Im hoping I can just push it back in and re thighten the bolts or replace them. theres no scratches or any sign that it hit something as far as my insurance Im with allstate...15 years with them both home and auto and this is my first claim..I just cant believe that claims adjuster..Im not going to give up on this..Its either they come up with a fair value or we go to court. Im switching to geico after this...allstate is good with little claims from what ive heard and when it comes to big claims like mine they would try to screw their clients. I also spoke to a neighbor and she mentioned that dont take their first offer if its not in my favor and it is my right to decline it.hope in my case they come to their senses and offer a fair value on our second meeting. Truck is being towed at their own lot tomorrow and i have to deal with another adjuster what they call total lost adjuster
