-
got me confused here..You mean grade 10.9 is less stronger than 8.9?
-
I have not taken it off yet but according to my local exhaust shop its 10MM..Hey B just came from fasteners today and they have a 8X30X1.25 in 8,8 zinc plated but I opted for the 10.9..I think I used 8.8 on my opther pathy when I installed my thorleys thats why on the other thread I mentioned a 8 grade

Im in the process of replacing the exhaust manifold gasket on my vg30 and can somebody please tell me what size bolt the collector pipe takes? I think its called the collector pipe..Its the part where the manifold connects to the pipe with flange and 3 bolts Thanks fellas

Do you guys have a link for the spectre kit?

If youre going with thorleys use bolts instead of the stud and nut. Ive had mine for almost 4 years now and its held up quite well..8X30MMX1.25 grade 8 bolts A few members used bolts with different tensile strength but not sure how theirs held up
-
I replaced mine with hardware store hose clamps..smallest one they carry at the plumbing section
-
hard wheeling also accounts to that and rim offset
-
Yeah ...as a matter of fact I swapped the wifes pathy to a hb also ..Funny thing is I like the hb on our pathy and the pathy headlights on hb..I also have the same grille as what you got..the one with like a V in the middle..I dont like the plain straight grilles
-
my bad..you are correct bro...Reason why I said no need for the brackets is coz when I pulled mine out I pulled it with the bracket and didnt even look close that the bucket is separate form the mount. Thought it was all one piece
-
If you already have the bucket where the bulb (sealed) goes youre not going to need anything else..the bracket is built in on that bucket.Hope this helps
-
No it didnt..The only thing I could think of is it overheated on the punk who took it..I have a slow coolant leak and had to ftop off my rad every other week with about a quart of coolant.Im going to start her tomorrow
-
The rotor turned..I have not tried to start it all the way...still in the process of checking for fuses..im going to gas her up tomorrow and see if shell fire up..if not then ill check for some more possibilities as mentioned by other members
-
I thought it was some kind of net for the back ..Im going to remove the tail gate and keep her light as much as possible..We can trade on the handles if you like...are these handles interchangeable with the pathy also and the side mirrors? I like the pathy side mirrors eventhough I cant connect it electonically

Just got back from the muffler shop and they did a check on it and the tech said its the manifold.I checked underneath and all looks good. The cat and muffler hardly have any rust if any is just on the welds Im keeping her B ..Been wanting a truck and this is the only one ive found thats black and automatic...needs a little work as far as the interior coz the guy that owned it got so many gizmo thaT WAS REMOVED and left screw holes on some of the dash part thats easily replaceable..Dash has no cracks..seat is more comfy than my pathy Ill check the manifold tomorrow and if its not cracked ill go ahead and replace the gasket..if it is im sure you guys have one laying around in your garage that I can buy .
-
I bought her guys...It is on the manifold thats making that lawnmower sound..It could be cracked or just the gasket..I have not taken off the shield yet and ill be doing that tomorrow.Hope it doesnt have a broken stud

Hey guys Im thinking of buying a hardbody just to have something to drive around while I fix my pathy It has a loud exhaust leak though when rev'd up on the passenger side...This 93 hardbody v6 has the same motor as our pathys I couldnt tell for sure if it is a exhaust leak where the manifold is connected to the motor or its a leak on the joint where it connects to the crosspipe going underneath and across the tranny Engine sounds great when not revd up but soon as I hit the throttle it sounds like a darn lawnmower..I was thinking that if its the exhaust manifold shouldnt it go away when the motor warms up? Drives great except for that loud noise..Guy is asking $1800 for it and the body is in great shape..no rust anywhere that I can see Truck has 154K on it Any suggestions guys?
-
Im gonna have to replace them bolts with an allen head and not break-off bolts...Good idea on doing my practice at the jy first .. thanks bud
-
Thats an awesome buy there as far as the doorlock time I believe what B has would work..My wife has a 94 and I was able to switch hers to mine which is a 93

Hey guys any tips on removing a ignition switch barrel housing? Its got a couple of break off bolts on there. I was thinking of using a cut off wheel.Theres a gap in between the top and bottom clamp and it exposes the thead that maybe I can get the cut off wheel in between them to cut the bolts any suggestions fellas?
