  1. Such a nice rig! I thought it was down for some reason. Good to know its rolling again. Id love to see more
  2. After 250 miles with them the results are good. Like Raingoat mentioned, our drive out to Tahuya which was a break in/ test run went great. I feel its important to mention when I installed the rear springs it was part of a complete suspension overhaul so its hard to gauge what the springs brought to the equation. Old setup- low mileage KYB struts+OME HD and low mile OEM bushings up front with OME MD+ Bilstien 5100's, OEM high mileage bushings and airbags in the rear New Setup Front-KYB struts+OME HD and complete Polyurethane bushing swap Rear-LR 9448 on 2" spacers with Bilstein 5160's, polyurethane on the new adjustable upper trailing arms and extended OEM swaybar links Haven't hooked the trailer up yet to guage load handling but I suspect it will be just about right or slightly raked. 225lbs over the OME MD 170lbs has my hopes high for a great balance of hauling and off road performance. Off road flex was fantastic. Full flex with tuck wasnt hard and the springs allowed the truck to hook up great in the mud and on rocks without feeling harsh despite the full polyurethane setup. I ran the rig through a alternating whoop section and it lifts a little in the front before full flex but we had a minimal load in the rear of tools and 1 dog so I suspect with a 3 day weekend worth of camp gear and 4 dogs it will be fine. Overall they are the best bang for the buck next to the Lokka so far. 2 big thumbs up. Ill report back after 1k or so of trail and road time.
  3. Ive used a non-chip key to try and start my truck and it turns over but won't fire up. no issues other than that.
  4. Great day at Tahuya with the PNW folks. Big thanks to MicahFelker for organizing today. Good to meet you all.
  5. Nothing but the bushings would be adjusted. Everything came down with the SFD so its a minor adjustment in relation to all other components except the driveshaft. I opted to keep my OME springs instead of going with the AC coils but still go for 6" of lift with 1.25" of spacer lift and 0.75" of coil lift. To avoid the bind ill drop the diff .5 or so for a total.of around .75 of geometric lift at the cv's
  6. Finally got around to setting up the diff mounts with polyurethane bushings. These are temporary. The plan is to cast offset units to help my rig with CV bind at 6" of lift.
  7. Wow, that's super clean. Looks new. Nice detail work
  8. Used to run airlifts w spacers, no no problem. Got tired of the bags leaking and upgraded to LR springs.
  9. Dont have my copy of the FSM on my phone but what does it say in regards to acceptable output flange play? should have some inspection guidelines
  10. Harbor Freight has one that is pretty versatile. Doesnt need to be high end. https://www.harborfreight.com/clamping-dial-indicator-93051.html
  11. I wonder if you have a bent or misaligned shaft. Do you have access to a magnetic base dial indicator? You can toss it under the truck with the needle on the tube section of the drive shaft near the diff and again near the t-case, marking your starting point with a paint pen or sharpie rotate the shaft 360 degrees and see how much the dial moves. Shouldn't be much, if its significant it could be another element to your problem.
  12. Well that escalated quickly. lol. Its not even the most common definition. Its 3rd! Not trying to take this any farther from the thread topic but thays pretty funny.
  13. Condom? What dictionary? Full disclosure- I only have a Websters pocket dictionary that I cant find right now, but, when googled nothing comes up in reference to condoms. Its not even a noun. Its an adjective. I've always heard it used in reference to taking preventative action.
  14. Grind two small flats opposite each other and grab it with a pair of vice grips.
  15. Forgot about that. No info on the diff mounts though. Not mentioned in the index or anything.
  16. The bolt grade should be stamped on the hex
  17. I couldn't find any info in the FSM either. Standard spec for a 14mm bolt, 8.8 grade, with dry threads is around 100ft/lbs. 10.9 grade is around 148 dry. I put antisieze on everything under my truck because its always wet or salted here so its around 75ft-100ft/lbs
  18. Uber or Lyft maybe? Sounds like a van would be best for that many people
  19. Not really. Without a CV the hub is open. In a pinch you can, but shove a rag and latex glove over it. I had to come down from the Sierra Buttes after grenading a CV that way but its definitely not recommended.
  20. And no worries on the caliper. I use dial or digital calipers for that exact reason. So hard to read the scribed lines.
  21. Perfect. Im going to finish the mould as planned then. Let us know how the removal and install goes.
