  1. I never had a problem with the spray on stuff. I did my side skirts and hood with Dura-coat rattle cans and both came out good and solid. First time I didn't sand/score the surface first so it peeled off in most places. I pressure washed it and sanded it down and redid it. Much better now and still solid. I was toying with the idea of lining the floors inside, but that'll be a winter project.
  2. Towed it to the shop last night after flooding the engine, scheduled it in this morning and dodged a bullet because it only hydro locked and didn't damage the engine any further. Phew!
  3. You don't have any scrap yards nearby that you can visit? The side marker lights are sold as a whole unit, not just the plastic. That said, most of these parts I'd just pick up off eBay if I couldn't find one in a yard.
  4. Yeah if you went with spacers (I've got Fleury's myself) you get to run stock height struts. So that opens up your options.
  5. Finally got to fix my headlight. My passenger side headlight and marker were shattered and the little plastic clips for the headlight were broken off. Finally had some good weather to go to the junkyard today and get some replacements.
  6. I've got a 98 R50 with glass headlights. All the R50's I've seen locally and in the junkyard have the same.
  7. Oil change and my local shop ran a diagnostic (service engine light came on last week) and they found the knock sensor had set off...
  8. I could've sworn that the facelifted R50's had the same roof channel.
  9. This explains where my spare tire came from on my Pathy... pulled it off and the rim was 16×8 while the rest were 15×6.
  10. God, I keep coming here and just teasing myself, I've got 1 more day till I'm home and can finally get my Pathy from the shop with the lift and new tires installed. Looks great!
  11. I like them! Front bumper is welded to the tow loops or did you bolt it to the frame too?
  12. You can find the replacement pieces on ebay, usually not too expensive.
  13. Damn I would be jumping on that for only $3k! Definately worth the price provided the engine is in good order. Just an example, I picked up mine (98 Chilkoot) for $1500, and so far I've put about $2k into it to bring it back up to snuff. So yeah, $3k for what looks like a mint R50 LE? Hell yeah!
  14. Are you talking the entire headlight housing or just the bulb? I'm assuming you mean the whole housing, you'll have to remove the grill, and then there's four screws (two top, two bottom) around the housing. You'll need a long phillips screwdriver to get these. And...that's it. Once you unscrew it, just disconnect the bulbs from the back and good to go.
  15. Weird, everywhere I looked for info on the Chilkoot edition had it listed as cheaper than XE with similar equipment.
  16. Chances are it was different from the US to Canada, we did have the Chilkoot edition which was essentially XE but a couple thousand cheaper.
  17. Looking forward to getting mine back from the shop with the lift and new tires, especially to see if I manage to get better economy (I've got a road trip to Alberta coming up for work).
  18. AFAIK the only time something won't fit from another trim is if yours doesn't have it to start (such as a sunroof), or some of the body pieces from a facelifted R50 going onto an early R50 (or vice versa).
  19. Well Fleury's 2" spacers (4x4design.com) is certainly wallet friendly, it's how I convinced my own wife to let me do it. Like you saw the AC lift is still there, and if you're wanting to do a coil lift, probably the best money wise.
  20. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/19867-max-tire-size-vs-lift-kit-used-vs-custom-or-oe-wheels/ Check out that thread to see what others have done for tires on different lifts.
  21. I was gonna ask him about that, really wanting some since my spacers just arrived.
  22. I ordered a set of spacers from 4x4 Design last week so I'm eager to see how yours turns out.
  23. I bought my Pathy second hand and the deck wasn't reading discs and the LED was going dim, so I gave in and picked up a Kenwood KDC-BT555U on sale and the installation kit. Took me an afternoon and had the decks swapped out. Double DIN's aren't bad, but I wasn't crazy for touchscreens and like I said, this deck was on sale. It has Bluetooth and, although I don't use them, Sirius and Pandora.
