Took my buddy offroading with his Jeep (he's new and just bought a 4-door). My engine has been running rough for a couple days and I was planning on pulling the plugs to check them this weekend, but driving out today and it was misfiring BAD. So after getting out to one of the dust bowls I told him to have fun and popped my hood. Tightened all my plugs one by one, until I got to...#1? The front passenger side. Anyway, turns out the distributor cable to that one was coming apart. I squeezed it all back and got home and now I'm gonna be ordering a new set. Run smoothly right now though so that's a problem solved and a good day on the trails

I think I'll go with that style of window deflectors next.
-
Good find on those trails, I remember there were a few south of Fredericton (Lost Lake I think) and under the power lines.
-
Can you turn it over? If not then you probably hydrolocked it.
-
So when you got it, there was no carrier but I'm guessing there were holes to mount it? It's got the right hatch for one. And like CDN_S4 said, Fluery's spacers are good for a budget. You can get a couple inches lift using them.

1997 & 2000 parts interchangable?

The mounts are the same but IIRC the lip below the grill on the facelifted R50 is higher than the pre-facelift. Or maybe it's vice versa, I can't remember now. -
I picked up an interim roof basket from Princess Auto, can't recall the make, but it's nice and light with about 35" across the inside and cost $125.

Projectors can be find on ebay sometimes for about $400-500 per side. Not sure about the badges.

Glad to hear CDN_S4. Me and a friend went test driving cars and trucks today, drove my Pathy to each dealership and told I wanted it new. Nissan obviously had the Xterra and Toyota let me drive a very nice 4Runner.

Looks like my friends hand after he ran razor wire with only leather gloves. Nice slashes across his palms that took a couple months to heal up.
-
Hurray! Congratulations on it not being any worse!

Towing hooks under my bumper. Had to drill new holes to make it fit and I just need to grab washers for the original tow loop.
-
The arm would be in the tool kit I mentioned, which I'm guessing you don't have anymore. It's a little leather pouch. Try a junk yard and pick one up?
-
That strap was for the tool kit, if you still have one.

That reminds me, I need to clean my upholstery and carpeting sometime.

I'm surprised there's not alot of rust around the wheel arches seeing as you're in NB. Very clean in fact, I'm jealous.

How To: Pillar Lights using hella 500
lerch641 replied to 01silvapathy's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
So the position and size of lamp you've got doesn't make contact with the hood when it's open? -
Good luck on reviving your ride!
-
I think I saw your picture on the R50 page. Fleury's spacers are out of shot on the top.

Picked up my R50 from the shop, had it in for a little tuning and because I wasn't getting washer fluid in the windshield. They got me sorted out and free of charge!
-
As Precise said, pull the plugs before you turn it over. I just had this happen to me 2 weeks ago and had to tow my Pathy back (just took it straight to the shop) and they said I was lucky to not have gotten it turned over as a couple cylinders were full of water.
-
That's odd that it takes that long to engage, mine doesn't like go straight into reverse from park after sitting for a bit, but I can usually get it engage after jiggling between reverse and drive. Though if you have a manual that'd be different.

Thanks for the links, I'm gonna be hunting for parts at the hardware store next weekend now.

200km trip to Winnipeg, first long drive since I got my lift and new tires and there's no problems so I'm very pleased.

Okay, general snorkel thread; After recent adventures it's become apparent that I need a snorkel, SO! I know there's a few off-the-shelf kits for the R50's, but who has made their own? What did you use and do? Pictures are good!
