  1. You sound like one of dim educated folk. Wurd you getch yore schoolin' from?
  2. Did my first Seafoam treatment. No smoke show Then I watched a video at work just now and found out I should have also added it to throttle body, so I will do it again in the morning.
  3. Yes I warm it up. When it cold starts and the RPM's are not leveled I don't believe in racing off in it. I let the fluids balance out before I drive off. I am a firm believer this gives your engine a longer life. My dad rebuilt engines for classic cars for 40 years, it was a crime against humanity if he didn't let the engine warm up. I'm not talking about a 30 min warmup, just a crank, go put my shoes on, grab my coffee, then jump in.
  4. Wow, sweet..I could have used this a few times. My car pre-pathy never needed to press the clutch in to start it. Warming up the Pathy in the morning before work and having to climb in and clutch/start, jump out, etc. Reaching in the window will be easier, lol. Thanks
  5. The Interlock button. Silly question I'm sure. I'm tired of not knowing what it is.
  6. Lol, when my Alt. busted and was down a week I actually caught myself on Craigslist looking at Xterra's, lol.
  7. I have yet to see another Pathy, and I commute an hour through Tampa city. On that note, a reminder I am driving a Pathfinder when I am getting passed my fully loaded cement trucks. Ohhhh when I get to 50 buddy, THEN I'll start catching up!!!!! Everytime I take a mud bath I consider writting on the back window(Go Around, I am not a Mustang)
  8. When you have to Put it on the Windshield.
  9. That shovel is AWESOME!!!! Any links to order it? That winch looks good for the price. $300 shouldn't get me a beating from the wife too bad when I pull it out of the account. She actually helped me dig the Old Man out. After an hour and it was free on day 2, she said "I think you need one of those rope wheel thingies"
  10. Ahh. Lol, it was tough digging in it. Thank god I brought a big board to act as a footer for the jack. The Old Man is free now. I am putting together a recovery kit this week. After my house move in 3 weeks I will save up for the winch. Badlands has them on sale in area for $300 12,000lbs. Not sure if that is a good brand. I can't spend 500 on a Warn. Kids and other responsabilities prevents that.
  11. That is exactly what happened. The trail wasn't deep and I drove back and forth across it several times, 2wd was good enough. Then I backed up to turn around and backed right into a mud soup hole. I tried putting in 4wd and couldn't pull free.
  12. And I know there is more to 4 wheeling than slamming on the gas. It's a learning experience, I am learning. Lesson I learned last night, I need a winch and a high lift jack. No more wheeling until I get that. I have to go alone as I am the only person I know that has a 4x4. Only other option to that is to buy a Jeep and join one of those snazzy clubs....not.
  13. I'm not sure yet. I will find out when I get it pulled out of the woods today.
  14. Haha, first weekend out when I bought mine for $900 I ended up pulling a new Wrangler out of a hole. He said he paid 25k. I said good job, you know you have a winch, right? Back to the game...... When you get it computer aligned and it still goes in all directions but straight.True story. BTW, the throwing the seat belt in before closing the door, hot foot when driving on long trips, rear end kicks out on bumpy turns, lol....you guys were my Pathy's previous owners huh?
  15. If it was self powered it wouldn't have a limit on the range.
  16. So I could install that for front only? That would be great if it only locked in 4wd
  17. Left it in the woods, alone.....all night.....Damn thing got stuck behind my office on my lunch break. I sure wish it would stop wandering off without me. No way I would do anything crazy like that.
  18. Yesterday I left the office for lunch and decided to go explore the woods behind the business center here. I seen a Jeep creep out of there a month or so back. I found an awesome mud pit. I did a 3 point turn to go back the way I came...then it happened. Stuck. One back wheel was buried, the fronts were not deep at all. For some reason the one front wasn't enough to pull me free.Of course I have no winch, it's been on the wish list for a long time. I worked to free it from 3 pm until dark last night. I left it in the mud all night. I had to work early so it is still in the woods as I speak(or type) After a long time thinking last night, my only option is to jack each corner up and and fill the holes with dry dirt and pine straw. I will go round and round until that damn back axle is out of the mud. My axle anchor. I was furious with a capitol WTF that the wheels that were sitting on level dry ground were the ones not turning. Basically it's not 4 wheel drive, it's still 2. My question is what do I have to do to make this a True 4 wheel drive, you know, when all 4 wheels actually pull?
  19. An update on this, I replaced my Alternator last weekend and I noticed today the noise stopped. I was late for work so I was speed racer today, shifting at 3k plus and noticed my belts don't scream at 2500 anymore. Maybe it was a bad bearing in the old Alt.? I'm glad the noise is gone.
  20. When I fill mine up it sticks below the full mark. I go to the sand pit near my house and dukes of hazzard it for a couple min then it goes to full. Lol.
  21. I actually considered that when I took the seats out to patch the holes in the underbody
  22. There is sooooo many squeeks in mine I don't know where to begin.
  23. I'm guessing I need to unbolt the fan? The ac belt is in the back of the 3, thought I had to undo all of them to get it out
  24. Holy smokes !!!! When I was putting the new alternator in lastnight I was contemplating doing the same thing. My compressor is shot as well and I think its a waste to leave the belt on spinning around and around. I might cut my belt off tonight. Yes, cut. I'm not getting the AC fixed anytime soon, if ever. No need to tear everything apart to take it off then readjust everything I just did last night.
  25. Drove it. After a week and change of it being in the garage, I finally climbed back in the seat today. Very happy moment for me. Alternator went in decent at around midnight.
