  1. 86 Mustang, 351 cleveland, 3" duals with Flowmasters, Motorcraft T5. That car would lift off on launch. Leaving work one morning at 3 am, came out of the parking lot sideways, as usual, lost control and almost clipped a power pole. I went home and pulled the spark plug wires and threw them in the woods. I seen me death coming in that car. I let it sit for a year then sold it for close to nothing. Me and a car like that won't last long. Thank God I recently bought a Pathy and discovered off roading. Serious. Now I can safely let my Dukes of Hazzard spirit run loose, and it's more fun in the woods too.
  2. And thanks for the info. I'm looking the stuff up now. I hate getting in the middle of projects and finding out I needed 5 other parts that I never heard of. Thanks.
  3. At full turns yes but I also get airborne, hence the Dukes of Hazzard statements I make.
  4. I go mudding, or what I call wading, every weekend. Basically I drive through swamp water trails in the forest here. I do not have a snorkel yet, so I know from experience , as someone said earlier, about to the top of the wheel well is safe AT SLOW SPEEDS! The faster you go water starts flooding around your engine compartment like a washing machine, then you will start sucking water in. I drove down a 2 feet deep water road last week at dumb high speeds and it was sucking water in waayyyy too much. So the slower the better when you get halfway up your doors.
  5. I will deff. check that. Making me nervous now......
  6. I am running 31's now, the previous owner said he did some blah blah mods, I'm not sure, but it does sit a little higher. But the wheels scrub when I am Dukes of Hazzarding it through the forest. Anyway, I seen this kit online, would I need anything else for a 3" lift or would I be ok with this kit? https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfinder-custom-suspension-lift-p-54.html
  7. That's the part! Under the plate on the right side the bushing is missing, where on the left side it has a bushing. I will jack it up and take a shaky look at it, thanks. I was a bit concerned about the missing bushing. I don't want anything to snap at the wrong time.
  8. My 88 has always pulled to the right since I bought it. I took it in this weekend and had an alignment done. It still pulls to the right. Other issues I have is hitting the brakes semi hard causes it to pull left and right. Hitting dips or potholes pulls it to the right , scary hard. Just wondering what I should be looking for. It is currently in my garage taking a 2 week vacation to get painted and replacing an alternator (thanks for making me walk in dress shoes) Tires are 31x10.50 if that matters. I noticed a bishing missing on the right control arm? I'm not sure what the components are, just guessing, the bolt with 4 bushings on it, small like skateboard bushings. I'll post pics later if need be.
  9. Yes window trim. The plastic trim around the side windows etc. The Pathy is 25 years old, all outside plastic is crumbling. My original statement was I am painting my truck next week, where can I but new trim, most people would know I was speaking of window trim, not ass.
  10. Ouch. Sounds expensive. (Dealer fee add %500)
  11. I am going to paint my Pathy next week, need some new window trim , it's 25 years old and falling apart. I pull it off to paint and it's going to be destroyed
  12. Sorry I seen this late or I could have helped. My Pathy was an Airborne Base running vehicle it a past life. It has been to Germany twice and to Italy. It's not too bad moving the vehicle around once you know what to do. Glad to see you have it in motion.
  13. The one from the Isuzu will work I think. I wish I had time and access to one so I could hold it up to the Pathy and see if it will sit right.Yes I do have a welder, but it is 2 states away. The wife and I are moving in a month or so, then I can get all of my tools together here. I am going to be fabricating some custome bumpers, skid plates etc., maybe then I will try to make a carrier. Then again I am going to be making a monster Land Rover style roof rack so if I can scoop the front of it like an Xterra rack then I will keep the tire up top without worry of the air drag like it is doing now.
  14. Ohhhhh, I got to have some!!! Painting the rust bucket in a week or so, snazzy decals would be awesome
  15. I was in the woods last weekend and a Jeep Club was parked by a mud hole, looking lost as usual, one guy kept asking me where a blah blah canal was. He said his app was saying it was right here. Later it kind of dawned on me he was looking at an app on his phone. Anyone know anything about an off road/trail app?
  16. $580 on FACTORYNISSANPARTS.COM Yea, I'll just keep it on the roof for now
  17. On my drive back down from Michigan I studied the rear mounts of other small suv types, I wonder if I can use one off of a different vehicle. I'm buying a new welder in a month or so, maybe I can make something work.
  18. Simple thing would be to sell it and buy another. It's just hard because I am a bit attached. It is a bucket of rust but it has a lot of history. It was an Airborne vehicle doing 4 years in Germany, 2 years in Italy. In my spare time I lovingly patch the floor panels, hammer some loose rust and add more bondo. I don't know. Maybe I will paint it and sell it.
  19. I locked a shovel to the roof rack. Inside I have an SUV jack, breaker bar with socket, back pack with water/snacks/sweats/long sleeve shirt/shoes. Jumper box, small box with basic tools like screw drivers, 2 adjustable wrenches, some wire, a wrench set, claw hammer. After watching a show last night called Dude, you're screwed,, I am going to add 50' of parachute cord around the handle of my shovel. That stuff comes in handy in an emergency. I keep stuff like this in the truck because I always use the Pathfinder to actually find paths. I go through our National forests and turn the wheel and go off off road, just crashing through the palm trees for an hour or so. I just plan for that one day when something bad happens. Something will break and I will need supplies to hike out of there with.
  20. On the way to work I bought 2 rolls of tint, going to privacy my nap area tonight..muahahahaaaaaa. I can't wait. I usually nap on my lunch break, but most of the offices let out at the same time, so a lot of nosy people peeking in my truck. I have been waiting to do this, plus it will make it darker. God you know you are getting old when nap times get exciting.....
  21. I redid the cargo area myself, looked good until I did the wheel wells. Lol, carpet doesn't stretch around ww that good. Looks like crap. I need to find where to buy a carpet kit.
  22. Drove it to work, thinking of the Z370 beside of me at the redlight. Wondered if his engine would fit in my Pathy
  23. I seen the alt. belt was a little slack.I tightened it this morning, the reving the engine, squeek at 2500 again. I applied belt dressing and now it is a total constant hum, but no squeek. It could be the tensioner, that seems to be the most common on most vehicles. It is just strange that it is RPM specific. I can hold it at 2400 and no noise, 2500 squeeeeeeeeeeeekkk
  24. I was thinking of swapping simply because I drive one hour to work everyday, 6 days a week, city traffic.I forget the exact number but it was close to 35 red lights. Clutch shift clutch shift clutch shift.........automatic just seemed like a dream lol
