Okay that's makes sense. How close is the tire to hitting the strut mount? -Kyle

31's will NOT fit without issues, i had to hack a-lot of my front wheel well to get the wheels to fit, but i think its because i have aftermarket wheels, with a smaller backspace, but i feel like the struts would start interfering if you put 31's on stock wheels with stock backspacing. hmmmm someone chime in here. But check out my thread to see what you need to do to get 31's to fit. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/33320-college-kids-dd-1996-se/page__st__20 After you get this all straighten out, you are obligated to post pics, or make a build thread in the members rides section. and as far as having a shop do it, i had my 31's installed at Discount Tire, they fitted them up made sure i could get home safely and they sent me on my way, the only thing i think they do is say, "We have installed tires that are not a direct replacement or Manufacture recommended size on your invoice." Basically a CYA moment by the dealer. Other than that, go for it! Well be here if you need us, lol -Kyle

As devonianwalk said. I did my tires first. 31's as well. My lift is next I'm about 3/8 of the way there. I'm buying a new phone soon so that's holding me back. But tires then lift is a good way to go (imo) You need to do some trimming for 31's but how much, depends on the tire. Check out my build thread in the members rides section. IMHO that's just asking for trouble MAF'S are close to $440 new and if you twist or break the wires. That be awesome. Or get the old R50 support racks, I want to say they are a little shorter than the ones you have. But if you're going for the ultimate clean look, that tubing sounds perfect.

Agreed with above. Plus pro comp wheels are fairly inexpensive. I paid $55 a wheel at summit racing.

Yeah, they came with my R50 as well, i took them off because they got in the way, and i didn't use them, they are really small and mount flush to the roof of the car, if you are looking to mount a rack or something, its not going to be that sturdy. They have eyelet/knobs that attached to roof rails, good for tying things down. Hope that helps -Kyle

yeah, i don't advise those plastic ones, i put them maybe a week and a half ago, and after taking them off today to make room for my 31's they are melted to the point where i need new ones if i take them off again. oops If you find a good set of metal ones, hit me up, ill need to get a set too, what bore wheels are you looking at? -Kyle

I bought these, http://www.fastwheelaccessories.com/set-of-4-polycarbonate-plastic-hub-centric-rings-108mm-od-100mm-id/ They helped ALOT but they still shutter with the Pro-Comps i have on down hill braking, the fit okay, i think the hubs are a 99 or 98 mm but if you're getting a 4.25 bore on the pro comps, 108mm fits perfectly! Something custom will be needed to get a perfect fit (IMO) but despite what everyone says on here, HUB CENTERING RINGS WORK!! -Kyle

Snorkel would be a great option to get some additional room, BUT YOU NEED THAT PLUG, its connect the Mass Air Flow Senor, it monitors the air coming into the car and is pretty much the most vital piece to getting the engine to function correctly. And i would relocated the Battery to the rear somewhere, just run some kicker 4 gauge and call it good. (Could be entirely wrong) Plasma welder anything makes me jealous. -Kyle

I'm just horsing around, that's not mine. I honestly think that its as simple as a that. Get a container (obviously something better than thin tin.) and re route your over flow lines. As for the washer, i really don't know, maybe relocate the battery and put it there? Post pics when you get both your bumper and relocation done. No big deal, specific questions can be tricky to source. Replacing the mounts is recommend because the little "Bearing" wears away and squeaks, (like in my case) which is annoying and im sure there are more benefits but the main one is the annoyance factor (IMO). But DO NOT whatever you do, buy KYB mounts and/or bearings, they are numerous people who have purchased them and have had almost immediate squeaking and noise problems (like within a couple of thousand miles), most people recommend getting OEM bearings and mounts. OEM is expensive but from what people have said, they work better than any aftermarket supplier. Hit up the services section, see if you can find a price on the mounts and bearings in the GENUINE PARTS THREAD, the OP is a Nissan parts retailer and usually beats any online OEM prices. Boots i don't believe are big deal, i think people say do it if you plan on jumping or spraying salt directly at your strut pistions. IIRC About the rear shocks, it would be a good idea to get longer shocks, anything that is 16" compressed and 26" expanded, which is roughly 2" longer than stock (that info is courtesy of XPLORx4). I've heard of a couple of guys running stock length on the 2" lift, but i would just do it right. Another thing that might be good to mention is Camber Bolts, (this is another "at your discretion" sort of item) because our cars have camber set from the factory, you may find that after the lift it has some positive camber as one of the side effects. What these bolts do is correct for that and keep tires from wearing inconsistently (with a professional alignment of course). The reason i say "at your discretion" is because some guys need bolts and some don't for some reason the camber doesn't change or isn't enough to cause a problem. but I would do it. For the $30 or so bucks it would be for the bolts it sure beats out $800 in tires. Well, i don't know how much help i can be, but i have my new pro comps on a 3.75 backspace, and they sit flush with the fender flares. (running 30X9.5X15) and i know that my old stock wheels (your wheels as well) sit flush with the body on the XE models (the models without flares) and if i remember correctly had a 6" backspacing? Considering you have removed your fender flares, you are sitting flush, with the metal body on the stock wheels now, so a 3.75" back spacing will be 2.25 inches out from the body. Sitting just about even with where your old flares would sit. So depending on how much wider the tires your looking at all, just push that how many inches wider than my 9.5's (i hope this is a good theory) So if you get 33X11.5X15 its going to sit 4.25" inches away from the body. Here is a reference picture of my setup Pro-Comp 15's, 3.75" backspacing, wrapped in 30X9.5X15 I hope that kinda helps, but here is hoping someone posts picture of what you are asking. Maybe 01silver has some side shots of his pre-SFDed pathy. -Kyle

I second this idea, Pioneer is the one stop shop for amazing double din navigation. They cost alot for what you'd be looking for (bluetooth, ipod etc.) but they are SO worth it. -Kyle
