You can find older model lights on ebay, but they are SUPER expensive, just use the reference link i posted earlier and Google chrome, it automatically translates into something bare able, then you have 2 different models of terrarno's you are searching for, Terrano テラノ LR50 (early model as well) TR50 (diesel) then just go to headlights and search for LR or TR, then find something with pig tails and corner lights, email them to jesse streeter, pay the money, and 2-6 weeks you'll have them. -Kyle

You are correct, that was originally the switch I was going to use, but I found out that the switch I need is a 6 pole switch not the 4 that comes with the q45`s. The headlights i have react to change it voltage provided by the switch, where as the Q45 switch, runs the lights based on resistance and reacts accordingly. But I found the US spec STI'S come with the switch I need. So I'm chasing one down as we speak... -Kyle

Do I even want to ask how much you've spent on all the different tire sets we've seen on your rig? You have had, what, 6 different sets? And yes it agree with you. The price went a lot higher on price than I initially thought. When I saw the lights at $110 each, I thought I was getting a pretty good deal. Then shipping. Commission, it all added up. But to me, this is my forever car. So I don't really care how much certain things cost if it enhances the car to my liking (there is a limit to that of course). I was reading threads about these lights from five years ago. They were going for $2000 then. So $500 doesn't seem so bad huh? But I really like them, I'm a huge fan of OEM parts, because they are designed to highest standards when compared to aftermarket. Plus an HID projector retrofit is $800! And there is no guarantee that will work as well as factory designed parts... Anyway, I'm on a bit of rant. I did my research, these are they best value for the result I'm after... -Kyle

You are correct, i did buy JDM side markers, they also incorporate "city lights" in the marker as well. Going to try and make those work as DRL's. -Kyle

So i just got a little extra cash, and I've decided to FINALLY replaced my cracked exhaust manifolds, with the Dorman aftermarket ones available from Rockauto.com My question to people who have done it, is while i'm down in that part of the engine, what else should i change or SHOULD change? or things that i should use, like should i get some OEM gaskets over the Dorman provided gaskets? Obviously ill buy some extra bolts and stubs in-case the cat decides to rust itself in place. My goal is better gas mileage so ill let everyone know how that actually works out when i'm all done... -Kyle

Good to know, i just started searching the full part out section, must have found at-least a dozen 04-05 STI's being parted. I cant believe that there are that many people doing that, i find it really hard to believe that they are worth so much in parts... But i think i might have a guy who will be able to get me a switch, plus the harness and possibly the leveling plug i need. -Kyle

You just have to wait for the right pair to come up, one that comes with pig tails, corner lights and in generally good condition. i sort of did half, and half, one light came with the side marker, but not pig tails, and the other came with pig tails but no corner light, DOH!! You are correct, its the bug eyes through peanuts that im fairly sure have the switch, and the o4-05 USDM STI's have the leveling feature, which means i don't have to scramble to JDM land to find what i need. Do you know of any good places other than NASIOC to find wrecked STI peanuts? -Kyle

MAN I OWE YOU A BEER!! That it exactly what i need, its answers all of the hard questions!! and even tells me how to wire them up!!! I've discovered that the JDM "Hawk eye" and "bug eye" STI WRX's came with the what looks to be identical to the switch i need, just different wire colors. But i know that it will fit in the slots on the pathfinder, just not the landscape ones. Its just going to be really, really hard to find these plugs and harness, i'm contemplating just having my broker just get someone to give me the entire headlight harness off a wreck terrano. But the Subaru guys have been able to get all of the items left i need to find. I have a buddy going to japan in a few days, hopefully he'll have time to find some stuff for me... As far getting it repaired, i'm going to try and get paid out from insurance and get another one, possibly, well have to see how everything plays out.. i found the cheaper ones that were complete... -Kyle

i do i do, but just male, im trying to use the factory connectors. But i'm starting to find that they are VERY JDM, i found that certain Subaru's use these plugs in the same application, on the leveling switch, and as mentioned, they came from S15's, but you think your's will work, PM some pictures, and well try and work something out. -Kyle

So i recently purchased some JDM headlights, and need to find some of the connectors for it, one of the lights came with plugs, the other didn't, i was wondering if anyone can look at these plugs and see if they can think of any model that would have the same plugs. I have already figure out the the grey, 2 pin and grey, 3 pin came on the S15, but they are expensive and hard to find, mainly because they were never sold the U.S, i'm pretty sure the black and brown 2 pin is a generic high beam plug, that i should be able to find on my current car. But if can think of anything else where you might have seen these, so i can track them down in a junkyard or something. i know i can cut the wires, but i just want to keep it stock and easily removable. 6 pin, height adjustment motor plug. 2 Pin, low beam, thick gauge wiring Side marker, 3 pin High Beam, 2 pin Thanks for looking! -Kyle

Alot more than i had initially thought... My broker assumed that i wanted fast air shipping, and that was $150 (was crazy fast, only took a 5 business days), i asked if he could put it on the slow boat, and save about $80, but he already had the packaged up, and he would have to repackage them, so i just said leave it, didn't want to be the pedantic customer. But all said and done it was 53,853 yen, or $513, but again, shipping was alot. I also had to track down a side marker because one of them didn't come with it,(and the JDM side markers are different than the USDM lights) and i was only able to find 1 for the side i needed so regardless of price, i needed it. But each light was around $110, and the side marker was like $25. Its getting it over here and paying fees is the expensive part. and i'm still not done, i need to track some plugs because i got too excited and forgot to check to make sure they came with that, so i need to find those. Happily, i found that 2 of the 3 plugs i need, are shared with the Silvia S15, its the adjustment plug is whats going to be REALLY hard to find, and this stupid switch, i really want to the landscape mounted one with the knob (the one i pictured), so i can have it in one of the blanks on my left hand side of the wheel. But I've been reading on the S15 forums, alot of the guys say they don't ever use it. On top of that, I'm unemployed now, and need to save my money, but so far, i have or have found everything i need to make the lights work in my car, just not adjustable. Well, its on the bottom of the light, there are 4 other places that this is going to be supported, and carry this heavy thing, because it HEAVY. And while i think the plastic is the same thickness as everything else, i really wouldn't want to drill into the housing. If i can get my money back from insurance, i may end up just buying another projector from japan, and get all of the plugs i need at the same time. But well see, i still need to get down to the Post office, and file an international claim, which i am dreading. Yeah, i'm finding more and more cars which use the adjustment, but what i think may be a problem is most of these cars with the adjustment get signal based on resistance (or load as you mentioned), not on a trigger point, like at position one it send signal out of one wire, position two sends an individual signal and so, which i think my headlights are, because on the S15's and G20's they only have 1 wire that control the motors height, and have a total of 3 plugs coming out of the harness that control the motors, ground, parking lights, and adjustment. But my harness has 6 wires going to the motor. So i'm going to have to either get a hold of a wiring diagram for the JDM Terranos (no idea on how to do that), and see how the plug to headlight is wired. or manually start tapping wires and see if anything happens. Does anyone know a safe way to de-pin something? in order to figure out what wire does what? Thanks for the kind words and help guys, i'm going to post up pictures the plugs i need and see if anyone can maybe find an alliterative car to where i can source these plugs. Because S15 parts are really hard (and pricey) to get a hold of. -Kyle

Thanks, cant wait to install them, and rockets? the Rossignols? they were nice, look a little higher up, lol and BG's haven't seen snow this year, cruddy season. So stoked!! Really? JB works on this sort of thing? I was expecting to find some 3M something or other. Ahh, i need to stop calling it that. Its not an auto leveling switch, but like the updated model QX4's, the switch allows for on the fly adjustment of the headlight aim, looks like this. Just need to find the switch and then figure out the wiring.... -Kyle

I can vouch that they use Calsonic for the radiator. I'm pretty sure Delphi for the Knock Sensor Hitachi throttle body, TPMS and the other sensor on the TB. And then Kyle94 knock out the rest, Bosch, Desno, NGK, But keep in mind, while OEM is good stuff, its NOT ALWAYS the best. Other high end companies have to make their money by making run of the mill parts to keep the money flowing. For example: Pads and rotors, i know that Brembo (really great brand) makes a rear drums for our rigs, and then you can get Stop Tech (another great brand) fronts, for drilled and slotted and other options. Don't get OEM pads, get some Hawk pads, great bang for buck. Although the last time I talked to Rob (Local Nissan OEM parts desk guy, i.e. a freekin' wizard when it comes to OEM parts) he had mentioned that he had some NISMO pads that would fit the pathfinders, the only down side he said were they made more brake dust than you'd expect. That the only other option i'd go with. Oil filters, again, while OEM is good, its not ALWAYS the best way to go, especially being on a budget. Mobil 1 filters can be had at your local auto parts store for not much more than the generic FRAM (I.E. CRAP) filters they sell, or right around what OEM will go for, I've been running that for about 2 years, no complaints, i'm considering switching to Purolator pure one filters, after hearing from several people that they are the best money can buy. Oil, again, OEM is good, but not always the best. Mobil 1, 5W-30, full synthetic can be had at Costco for $27.99 (when on sale, which is every other month) and comes in a box of 6. Thats $5.60 a quart, you are NEVER going to find Mobil 1 cheaper than what it is there. But check for availability first, every Costco across the country is different. Fuel filter, while i don't like Fram filters after seeing all of the studies on different companies oil filters, i installed a Fram fuel filter before learning all of that. No complaints, i'm sure its doing the job, but next time round, ill be getting something else. As far as suspension parts go, OEM is EXPENSIVE, i have completely fallen in love with Raybestos and their professional series, stuff is top notch. Highly recommend them. As far as locating some of these items RockAuto.com is an excellent resource for parts and prices, be sure to go the Vendors forum and get the 5% discount (better than no discount). Hope that helps. So, after about of a month of waiting, my Nissan Terrano TR50 JDM XENON Projectors came in today. Thanks to Jesse Streeter for being so helpful, answering all of my stupid little questions, and being all around a very nice dude. And while everything looked great, i did have one little tab broken, appears to be some sort of mounting bracket, anyone have any good suggestions for a plastic repair glue? The yellowish one appears to be the roughest out of all of items, that is the one with the broken tab. The drivers side is practically new, i cant find a single fault with it. But as far as the side markers (Which are different that the USDM side markers) they are MINT, the little tape on the drivers side, is denoting the smallest of marks, I.E. not noticeable unless you are looking for it. And the guy who made it all happen! Finally, if you couldn't tell, this is from the updated model, so once i get some capital, ill be searching out fenders, hoods, and everything else i need to do the conversion. Already have a really rough rear bumper. Working on it here and there. If you guys find black, or really decent shape updated body panels around, let me know, ill try and buy them, cant for a little while though.. -Kyle EDIT: I forgot to mention, i'm after the auto leveling switch, the one i'm after came in the 03-05 Infinti Q45, its left of the steering wheel, next to the VDC switch, if on the off chance someone finds one of these switches, let me know, they are a HUGE PAIN to find with the harness, and im left with trying to get a switch from Japan (more expensive than i would want, considering the switch is available here)

You would probably have to pull that section of the rear quarter, I'm not sure of what is exactly back there, but you'll need all of it, especially if you are running 30" plus size tires and steel wheels. -Kyle

Some people like the stock look, i am one of them, you have your ideas of what works, i have mine, personally, i think having auto leveling FACTORY HID's will look way cleaner than a light bar... -Kyle

In addition, it will require modifying the factory antenna. So to ultimately answer your question, there is no bolt in stubby antenna for the r50 -Kyle
