  1. At least in my neck of the woods you can buy a low mileage '95 VG30 engine for $350 cdn. I'm sure you could probably negotiate that down a bit but that is what I see the JDM one's listed for online. Do a full heart transplant and be done with it is what I would do. Good work keeping a 2 door on the road...best of luck.
  2. Jim Wolf Technology is the only one I know of. http://www.jimwolftechnology.com
  3. Welcome to the Club. Very nice and clean truck. I hope we get to see more pics from your part of the world. Pav
  4. I will nominate my truck - Pav - Pavfinder by the river
  5. Cool...glad that helped. Its a better diagram than the one in the FSM that you should also have as a reference for other work you will end up doing. I have to give credit to Akorhill aka Rob who was kind enough to share that document. FYI - There is No Vacuum diagram attached to the underside of the hood. Just the standard info specs about the engine.
  6. Here it is with the length (L=mm) in millimetres. Just cut your hose to fit. There are some there where the length isn't listed because they were a part from Nissan and were formed with a bend. If those are rotted as well then just give yourself some more length on the line so it doesn't kink up.
  7. Welcome to the club. You've come to the right place to answer any questions you may have...the search feature will reveal all you need to know
  8. He already has a set of 31(s) and trying to do things on a budget. Mags are very cheap second hand if you know how to look. Especially for a 15 inch since most people are running 16 inch now. Finding a 7 or 8 inch isn't difficult. Yeah I agree you will need wider to run 12.5 but that would also require a lot of beefing up of the truck's current condition and lots more investment.
  9. If you want Steel rims...just go to the scrappers and find some Nissan Xterra Steel rims. All of their 15 inch were 7J which is all you need. Stick to 7 inches...these trucks already don't have a very good turning radius.
  10. Like Adamzan stated he has them on the right way. They should be more snug in cups though, so there really should not be any debris accumulating in them. These parts are cheap and will wear quickly if the rest of the suspension is out of whack. If you had the cups inverted they would end up catching more dirt and worse you will wear out the bushing very quickly since the pressure put on them is not being dispersed properly.
  11. According to the FSM - FA37 its 12-16 ft-lb. When you change that you might as well do the stabilizer bar bushings so everything can sit properly. Looking at the bits of your frame from the pics I would do a tap test all the way to the back of the truck. I think you are going to be finding a few surprises along the way.
  12. Welcome to the Club. I would take the truck back to the people that mounted them and double check. The way you describe it...your problem does seem to be balancing since it happens at a specific high speed that can be replicated.
  13. I hate those TPS...had them on an '05 Xterra and drove me nuts...they are temperamental in cold environments and extremely prone to fail when salt (air/water) is added to the mix. I would not worry about it...check your tire pressure to make sure its good but its most likely the sensor just failing...also take off the cap and look for corrosion. Maybe a shot of some electronic sensor cleaner might do the trick. I don't know how far your drive with it on average but mine would eventually turn off after about 20-30 mins of driving.
  14. I'm impressed you still have your cup that is attached to the frame.
  15. Great work. I've always loved the 2 door in Silver. I wonder which version you will end up loving the most (2 or 4 door).
  16. That's what it looks like from what I've seen. I would reach out to Rob and ask him. He tends to have more detailed schematics for some parts that he might be able to share. It looks like it should be a straight forward installation. There are a couple of members here that have them that will hopefully chime in.
  17. Lift up the rubber strip in the middle and there should be another screw to undo that will release the cap. I just hope that you don't have the same hex/lobe pin screw there for security. I've still been trying to find a key to undo mine. If its in good shape a torxs pin key should work to get it out.
  18. For One inch just do a suspension lift. You are not going to gain much for a lot of work. The Hardbody Pick Up D21 body spacers might give you the One inch if you really want to do it but I think those spacers are 1.5 Inches...might be something for you to research.
  19. For sure temperature wise we are the same. For us its the Salt that is the real killer. At least for my part of Canada we are not allowed to make any frame modifications. On the up side, if the truck was already plated in the province you don't need to get it inspected. Unless you use some serious rust proofing any vehicle where I'm from is going to rot out. I had to look for a few years before I found my current truck. The amount of rust proofing under the truck really kept it good. If you care for your vehicles you can still make them last.
  20. I like the winch bumper he built. Nice, simple and clean. I'm a bit suspicious how long his frame in the front will last from his pics. I guess you are allowed to make frame modifications in Sweden since he added a bit it seems to the back.
  21. Seems like you can also get one from Rob at FactoryNissanParts Slightly more expensive but I think you will save on the shipping with him and be sure to get the part. Nice to see these are still around and not that expensive really for what you are getting. http://www.factorynissanparts.com/parts/index.cfm?searchText=999F3W7000&make=Nissan&action=oePartSearch&siteid=214081
  22. You can also check out the package at Rugged Rocks https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/nissan-pathfinder-medium-load-lift-kit-by-rugged-rocks-19851995-p-60248.html
  23. I think you are on the right path...er...Xterra. Based on your requirements...I would get the Pro4X. Its designed to do all the things you are looking for. I had one that generation and it has plenty of space/power and a better after market if you feel you need to modify it. The 6 speed is right off the Z and suits the 4 litre well.
  24. Using an HID without a projector is going to give horrible light. An HID bulb sends light out in a flood like fashion so with the housing you have its just going to spill out the sides. Make sure you really aim them down to avoid the attention of the authorities because you will be blinding people. There is an LED option but that requires changing your grill to the D21 version.
  25. Wha Gwan! Welcome to the club. Always nice to see a truck brought back to life. Love the colour you repainted it.
