  1. I've considered selling and going Jeep....wonder if it would be cheaper to ship my truck?
  2. I didn't replace my mounts...just struts. On a 96. Wasn't an east coast/rusted out vehicle, so I didn't worry about it. I would expect his aren't rusted or damaged either. Just hot there....like where I live....not too much humidity or salt.
  3. Looks great! Are those cobwebs on the rims? What tires did you go with?
  4. Struts, OME HD springs, Jeep WJ 5.5" lift springs, and Rear 99+ Ford F350 2WD shocks. I am assuming that you order the brake lines and panhard bracket drop from Krypton also. Lastly, bigger rims and meats!
  5. No, it didn't break. I couldn't get it compressed tightly enough. It popped off one time and scared the crap out of me....luckily no injuries. I wouldn't do stiff springs again. With the TJM bumper and knowing I was going to add a winch, I opted for the HD springs and can't be happier with my choice. I've been considering a SAW, but can't find a thread with this being done on an R50.
  6. I had to have the local shop compress mine. Manually it wasn't happening. Those HD springs are TOUGH!!!
  7. Make sure you think it through before you go with the spacers. May want to jump to SFD. Check out my setup...older 96, but you'll get the idea. ...and forgot to mention. After my lift, I scrapped the rear sway bar. I may do the Missing Link someday when I do skid plates, but for now I don't mind the slight sway.
  8. That will probably fix your uneven stance also.
  9. I didn't use strut spacers, so I can't input...and don't think my pics would help much. I don't have the problems that you seem to be having.
  10. Or you can weld it in. If I end up dropping my front end to rebuild, I'm going to tack in my SFD. There's not much negatives of 2" more ground clearance. My kids have an issue with the rear doors, but at 8 and 6, I'm not sure they could reach them if my truck was stock.
  11. can't delete posts. apparently my work server has trouble connecting. Refresh = double post.
  12. From my email, Andrew from Krypton told me: "If you have 2" lift springs up front, then that will combine with our 4" kit for a total of 6". In the rear you will want the 5.5" lift springs from a wj jeep. Iron rock offroad carries these. These will mount with our regular wj adapters. For shocks in the rear, you will want a set of rear 2000 F350 2wd shocks. If your pathfinder is a 99+ (newer body style), you will want the same application but specifically a monotube type shock." So, if the Bilsteins would fit a 2000 F350 2WD....they will work. I don't remember the stroke length that it has....
  13. If you eventually do the SFD, you will only need new rear shocks. Dunno about the strutspacers....might give you that Cali lift look. I don't have any and I set level....I also am one of the few that didn't need a camber kit after install.
  14. CDN_S4: Your rig looks nice and mean with that Jeep bumper! I like it. Kyle: Thanks! House remodel and life changes turned the PathGrinder into a Trailer Queen....literally...towing a trailer. My plan is to get some repairs and upgrades over the summer and be ready for the winter/desert season.
  15. Where do you get these Rockford boots? New shafts needed also? I think I'm going to need to replace my steering box this summer....might as well put in new CVs while I'm at it.
  16. Took it to Lowes with the trailer. 5 rolls of insulation and a new commode.
  17. Lots of pics in the FAQs. Here for tires. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/19867-max-tire-size-vs-lift-kit-used-vs-custom-or-oe-wheels/ And check the thread on lifts. ....there was a thread with members rides, but I can't seem to find it right now. Use the search function.
  18. It's personal preference. I also put on wider tires....and see no use in the "missing link". I like the way offroad trucks handle.
  19. I took mine off when I did the lift. Trashed it.
  20. I left mine on. Go to the lift pics and you'll see plenty of them.
  21. Did you fix the code problems according to the thread?
  22. I also have a Reese. I went with the square tube after seeing that the round tube drops down farther. It's all about ground clearance.
