  1. Methinks your wiring harness for the MAF sensor isn't plugged all the way in or something. Check your connections and make sure you put the o-ring back in with the sensor...
  2. Yeah, those roll-rubber flares are crappy. I'd want stock flares too.
  3. That was the most worthless display of assholism I've ever seen. What an asshat. Good letter, skrilla.
  4. Belt change intervals are 60,000 miles for the 87-92 VG30, and 105,000 miles for the 93-99 with the VG30 and VG33. Hey, I like to take my time. I clean everything off, usually re-paint the brackets and pulleys, do it exactly right and not have to cut any corners. I might also add that this is including a water pump, thermostat and t-belt change, not just the belt itself.
  5. So far I notice no difference in power or gas mileage. I made it out of a $1.99 3/8" thick polyethylene cutting board, using the stock mixture heater as a pattern and using a Dremel with a Roto-Zip bit to cut the PE. I cut two pieces, for 3/4" of spacer and gasketed between each piece. I had to buy new studs and damn, they're kinda expensive, like $3 each or so. Here's a pic.
  6. Yup. Good suggestions all, Vsicks. My forums will be back up within a few days (just paid the hosting bill finally) and I'll provide a link for a how-to.
  7. One switch is for cancelling the cruise control, the other is for the brake lights.
  8. A printed sticker is a bumper sticker. Block of paper-thin plastic/vinyl with the details printed on it. A die-cut sticker is one color, cut out of vinyl and mounted on a white paper top-sheet so you can apply it and rub it on safely without distorting the arrangement of the lettering.
  9. Some people are scared of getting the timing wrong and/or having to re-do it if it's wrong. That or they don't own enough tools to do the job right...and if your Pathy is your only vehicle, you can't really have much down-time for repairs. I've done four t-belts on two different VG30's and I've got it down to about an 8-hour project if I go easy and take my time.
  10. Smart-ass means the same as smart-aleck, or "one who speaks in a manner in which is generally taken as either sarcastic, derogatory and/or derisive". No big deal, it's not a real compliment nor is it a real detriment. *shrug* Calm down, please. That's all I ask. I can see that you're all posting back and forth in a semi-civil manner, but that's enough, OK? Next off-topic or derogatory post will result in this thread being locked. Got it?
  11. Nice. As I've found out, a 5-lb CO2 tank doesn't last long, though you can crank up the output pressure to 150 psi and fill a 33x13.50 from 10 to 28 psi in about 30 seconds. You need at least a 10 lb tank(preferably a 15 lb) for more serious use and longer-lasting air time. Only thing about the CO2 tank is it costs about $1 per pound to refill and only welding or compressed gases companies can refill it for you. A electric compressor costs more initially, but if you use it often enough it'll be very worth it. Particularly if you have a cheapie auxiliary tank to fill in the back you can use for more capacity.
  12. *nod* OBDII started on the 96-up Pathys.
  13. Try replacing the fuse anyway. Sometimes they can pop and still look fine. The only thing that feeds both the dash lights and the exterior lights is the fuse.
  14. Because it's a big problem here and it's in the news all the time. You can't just go out and buy toluene anymore in Oregon at the hardware store.
  15. Mmyep. Like this. Took me a day or so to get it right and all, but it works great now.
  16. Exactly. You'd have to replace the engine wiring and ECU to match the new FI setup.
  17. Ditto. My 33's are bad enough. I don't WANT 35's now. You can keep your flares, but you'll have to trim them a lot, that's all.
  18. Many XE's come with a tire carrier. It was optional, not trim-package based.
  19. You've run it on paint thinner alone, or mixed it with the regular gas? Yeah, toluene adds a few octane points, but it's a listed chemical...can be used to make meth, therefore limited in sales.
  20. You don't have to do any exhaust work for a body lift.
  21. So you can take it off later just in case. What if you need to do the clutch?
  22. It's right above the brake pedal under the dash. Lie on your floor, move the brake pedal and you'll see it touch the switch. Very easy to get to.
  23. Ok...next question. Can we get different colors of vinyl for the die-cut ones? Cause I can't really put white stickers on white paint and have it show up...my windows have enough stickers and I'm running out of room. Black or white would be a good choice.
