I was about to suggest you get the main vain tied off..but you were thinking ahead. 3 kids=3 times the amount of labour output of the house=one tidy house, yard and 3x the speed of projects being finished! In all seriousness, major kudos for being able to stay sane.

NISMOTHUNDER will prolly me, but our 2.2l 4cyl 5 speed 1996 Camry has been pretty reliable. We picked it up in april of 2006 with 88k on it and it now sits(and drives!) with about 160k or so. Replaced the clutch, tires,rediator, I think a belt-not sure and one of the front axles. Gett about 32-35 highway and when I dd'd it I think i was getting aboot 24-26ish city? Also, from what i've read the little 4cyl Rangers seem to be well liked. Never owned one but you see enough of them around

I would take the same approach, offer a simple little pickup (patrol, anyone?) and get rid of the behemoth Titan and combine the frontier with it. Maybe shrink the titan down a teensy bit and extend the frontier cab a teensy bit and offer a 6 and 8, diesel option included. Manual transmission in a big truck as well. Get rid of some of the cars and offer a few models that have numerous trims, thus allowing mro eto be done on the same platform. Crossovers would be consolidated. You want a truck, you buy a truck. You want a car, you buy a car. None of this ugly inbetween stuff.

In my 98 I can shift while moving, i usually slow down and put it in 2nd(stick) to do so. Maybe thye have different transfer cases?

I went to Kenya 2 summers ago and it cost about the same as your trip. I wrote a mass letter to people explaining what i'd be doing adn that any little contribution would help. A handful fo the people my family has given money to for similar things so it went fairly well and I raised a little over half via this method. Not sure if itd work for you the same way, but its worht a shot. As for getting to the remote village, take your pathfinder!

Swap everything to the 95, then swap the 3.3 in and youll be golden
