Mmm but wouldn't I get other symptoms?
-
Some friends in chile said the same thing today. I'll drive 200k trying that.
-
So what could cause normal consumption on the highway but HORRIBLE consumption on the city??? my driving? slow starts, normally shifting about 1500 - 2000rpm, smooth on the gas, foot of gas as soon as I see a red light, etc..
-
Ok.. i'm about to go nuts. I'm getting exactly 11.17MPG city !!!! that's just freaking INSANE! Gases are perfect, no fuel leaks, etc (plus all the other things I said in this topic) BUT.. I'm getting exactly 23MPG highway (@60mph) wich is.. kinda normal... right? Any ideas? PS: those numbers are filling it up, driving about 150 - 200km and filling again and adding 12.8% to the trip odometer.

making an arm brace is SO easy and you can make it 10 times stronger than a calmini one for US$5... I made my own in 1 hour... there's no science to it
-
check your tire bolts, they have a nasty tendency to become loose
-
I bought a Eclutchmaster stage II clutch kit for US$196, a friend has one in his suzuki vitara 2.0 and runs amazing.
-
I had a sidewall cut on a tire, I just got it vulcanized with a patch and problem solved.

GREAAAAAAAAAAAT topic!! I was just thinking of removing the door panel
-
thanks! all clear..

Can anyone explain to me, what's special about the Grassroots center link? (it doesn't bend, but why?) Can I take a welder and imagination and make my original centerlink better?? I'm from Chile so getting a grassroots centerlink is kinda dificult.

maybe it's zoolander's truck maybe, when turning right something gets "clamped", like fuel lines or something else
-
brilliant
-
wow that's crazy.. I've never seen something like that. Good luck with that
-

check the front crossmember bolts, they are four (2 + 2) they often become loose. They are right there in the front. Also (and this can sound stupid) check the tire nuts, the pathy's have very short wheel studs and the tire bolts can get loose very easy (One of my tires came of while I was driving.. NOT cool) -
when you use tires of diferent size in the same axle you will cause dammage to the diferential. Even if you use two tires that have the same size but one is worn and the other is not, you'll cause dammage. Try to avoid this and use it only in case of emergency

woah that was cheap... I paid like USD$380 for mine (custom made and installed). It was cheaper than getting a pair outside my country because of the shipping. The result was very good though..

True, my oil smells a little bit like gas. That's why it's important to change oil more frequently as the car gets older.

I have custom made headers (very similar to those) + 2" line + magnaflow cat + small silencer and it's awesome. A nice growl, not too loud, very quiet when cruising and loud enough when reving it hard! And there was a notorious change in performance. With that config you're golden!

32x11.5x15 on Procomp 1069 10x15 Front: Torsion bars cranked (just a little bit) + trimming Back: XJ springs with opened pig tail (2.5" lift) no trimming.

Mine is a little bit below half running normal. In long climbs rises until 3/4 and stays there. Doing trails, if I give it 6000rpm in 4low for too long it gets a little got, a bit over 3/4. New temp bulb, thermostat, coolant, etc.
-
I'm not even going to look at it, because if it moves I'll go nuts hahahahaha
-
Nice and good thinking. That keeps the forum clean I'll be waiting for the pics!!

Thanks for the info...

Mine also had a pre cat... Now it has only one magnaflow cat runs great (plus headers)
