  1. I just took a pic of the rubber stompers that are installed on my 94 pathfinder, I have the phone resting on the brake pedal so you can get an idea of where this is, the metal tube is the steering column, and the black metal piece is the brake pedal lever:
  2. I've always used Moog products and have never had a problem with them I too like grease nips !!!
  3. The rubber bumper lines up with a switch, so if you look under there and see a push button looking switch and directly across from the push button there is a hole, than that is where the bumper goes, just press it in the hole, takes 2 seconds. you can kind of see where it goes in this pic: http://homeandauto.ldsdates.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/brakelightswitch1.JPG
  4. Couldn't the starter relay be sticking "closed" which would cause the solenoid to stay on too? Would be a much easier fix anyway
  5. Saw on Wheeler Dealer last night a cool way to find a water ( or air leak) in a vehicles cabin, the mechanic used a smoke machine, letting the smoke fill up the whoie interior of the car to find a water leak, he filled the car and just looked to see where the smoke was coming out from. Figured could do the same thing with a halloween smoke machine.
  6. looks like a lifesaver, depending on howold it is may be light a light beige color, the new one's I bought from Nissan were a florescent green color. The bumper is also found on the clutch pedal and two on the brake pedal one for the cruise control one for the brake lights.
  7. Who did you use? local company?
  8. Just searched online for discount auto glass, found a place with local locations, look at this: without antenna installed $225.50 with antenna installed $ 202.99 ??????
  9. no rubber gasket on the front, if it was that simple I would have done it already
  10. My windshield has a crack in it, the wife and I were tlaking and she asked " how much are they $100", I said no I think closer to $200, called Safelite today for a price , sit down for this one $365 with the tax and disposal fee !!!! The lady was like "how is that price for you?" I said not that good,s o she put me on hold to talk to the "supervisor" she comes back and says they can do it for $303 all included !!! She asked again what I though about the price, I told her I think I'm going to learn how to replace my own windshield !!!! Also got a price for my 90 Sentra, About the same $360ish !!!!!! Looks like I'll be driving with 2 cracked windshields for along time ( or until I get a ticket for it !!)
  11. k, well let that be a lesson to you, LOL !
  12. he has a 92, no fsm here for it, but the 94 manual is probably the same
  13. Not a problem here to help when I can
  14. Well if you read better you would see that I was quoting Rob and that is what HE said !!! :lmao: :lmao: see those little things at the beginning and end of the paragraph? they are called quoation marks, they look like this " ", that means your quoting someone !!! LOL
  15. ask and you will receive ! http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Pathfinder/1996_Pathfinder/ Oh by the way that was from this site, under the garage section
  16. Took a couple of pics of the amp I installed yesterday, nothing fancy it was a quick install: fans: amp is dirty !!
  17. wheel spacers will make the tires fit worse as they are going to push them out further, same as using the wrong offset wheel, you want the tire tucked under the fender not sticking out where the tire has more of a chance to hit the fender. Of course if the truck gets lifted enough it won't matter.
  18. have you checked for any codes yet? would be the first step. What plugs are you using? gap correct?
  19. I bought a New starter from rockauto by Pure Energy, working perfect so far, $92.79 no core charge. The Nissan starter may cost more but think how long the original one lasted !
  20. what? Contact Rob in the link I posted, he just posted the price for a Nissan starter less than a week ago, found it: " I of course fully recommend the OEM starter. Then again I generally tend to recommend the OEM everything.........I wonder why? Part Number: 23300-88G01R Description: REMAN STARTER ASSY $200.80 (NISSAN LIST: 291.13) CORE CHARGE: $60.00"
  21. Check out this site, lots of info with pics too !!! http://beergarage.com/PathStarter.aspx check out picture 13 & 21 especially. as mentioned last post: there are two wires going to the starter, the thick one that comes directly off the positive battery terminal and a second smaller wire that comes from the solenoid on the starter.

  23. Just finished installing a 4 ch. amp that I traded a guy 22 old car audio magazines for, Cerwin Vega 60 x 4, running it in a 3 ch. mode, made a board to mount it on and also installed 3 fans controlled by a relay to move air across the heat sink, sounds pretty good, nothing fancy to look at but that's fine just wanted to get it in.
  24. after you installed the rotors pads did you break in the pads? From article on Tirerack site full article here: http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=85 "All brake pads must be bedded-in with the rotor they will be used against to maximize brake performance. The bedding-in process involves a gradual build up of heat in the rotors and pad compound. This process will lay down a thin layer of transfer film on to the rotor surface. Following the bed-in procedures provided by the manufacturer will assure a smooth, even layer of transfer film on the rotor and will minimize brake judder." "Bedding-in new pads and rotors should be done carefully and slowly. Rapid heat build up in the brake system can lead to warped rotors and or glazed brake pads"
