  1. For the alarm, the main wire to eliminate will be the thickest one that goes up under the steering column cover, they usually cut the wire going to the starter for the starter kill and splice it into the alarm wire, if you find that wire and put the two halves back together at least you eliminate the starter kill. Than just follow the other wires and eliminate them. For the door sensors alarm installers will usually tap into the dome light wiring or they may run a wire to the drivers door pin. There should also be a wire that ges to the parking lights ( to make them flash) and the horn. But the starter kill wire is most important. Here is the wiring diagram for that alarm: http://www.msvmaster.lv/car-alarm/instructions-manuals-diagrams/clifford/xl500.html
  2. Replaced thermostat yesterday, today put everything back together, flushed system with flush, added antifreeze, couldn't figure out why I was not getting heat until I realized I forgot the air bleed screw !!, bled the air out, added more antifreeze all good now !! Forgot, both today and yesterday we had on and off storms so I got soaked both days !
  3. I'm in the middle of the job but today I am replacing the thermostat that failed, also will flush the system and add new antifreeze.
  4. I'll have to look at mine when I go outside in a minute.
  5. I would look up behind the bumper to see if the plugs are there, if your truck did not originally come with the fog lights I doubt any part of the harness would have been installed. The plastic inserts on trucks that had the fog lights would be open like in my pic below: the trucks without them would have these inserts: I'm sure you could cut the insert out to fit the fog light, or get the right one's from a junkyard
  6. If it's a cable driven speedometer it could also be off at the speedometer itself, not likely as you have to take the speedometer completely out of the cluster to mess it up. I also can explain how to calibrate the speedo at the speedometer itself if needed.
  7. NICE ! Merry x-mas !! I need one for my Sentra now !!
  8. been OK today, was happening last night, thanks
  9. Did you check the hose under the hood going to the cruise actuator pump?
  10. What is it a special pin or something? No hardware store replacement?
  11. it's a good place to start, If you have a manual tranny or even if you don't having a couple of those bumpers in the truck is a good idea, if the one for the brake lights falls out the brake lights stay on, easy to just pop a new one in, same with the clutch switch that won't allow the truck to start if it falls out, yes you can reach down and press the button to get it started and make it home but just as easy to pop one of the extra one's in. Also check the vacuum line going to the cruise control pump thingy under the hood
  12. I was getting this error when ever I tried to open the forum, or once it did open and I sent a PM it would come up again, seems ok now, tried to post this before and when I clicked "post new topic" I got the error below again. Didn't know where to post this so move it if you wish, error below, anything going on with the forum? anyone else see this? I use Firefox but tried opening forum using IE and got same error.. 13. So now when ever you turn the cruise on the light just blinks? As was said previously, Check the rubber bumper on the brake switch, if it disintegrated the system may think you are stepping on the brake and will not engage.
  14. sorry if this creates a double post, tried to edit my last reply and it told me I don't have permission to do that so I copied and pasted what I tried to edit here: Some show 2 ports and most others show 3, if your PF one has the same ports as the hardbody It would probably work fine, the difference being in the bore size. the MC for the 87 D21 4x4 shows as 15/16" bore, Most MC's for the WD21 with rear disc brakes show a 1" bore and the WD21 with rear drums most parts show a 15/16" bore although a couple also show a 1" bore. Part numbers I used to compare were: 87 D21 Raybestos # MC39594 95 WD21 Raybestos # MC39978 I used Raybestos because they had the most pictures and angles showing each part.
  15. check on rockauto for the 2 parts, they have good pictures and you should be able to tell if the two are different
  16. A WD would have made it through and the water would have been pushed to the side !
  17. According to Nissan FAST, the master cylinder part number is - 46010-31G00 it is listed as 11-85 to 7-90 4wd, 15/16" bore The 2wd says it has a 1" bore, both made by Tokico The master cylinder using my 94 Vin number in FAST comes up a different part number, also says it has a 1" bore, part number also includes D21 from 1-92 up to D21U up too 1-96 Z24 and VG30E = part number is 46010-92G01
  18. Just looked on rockauto to see a pic of the head, the one item they have says this under it "SOHC, 8 VALVE, 8 SPARK PLUG HOLES, NO FUEL PUMP HOLE ON SIDE OF HEAD. "
  19. should be bled, Pass rear -Dr. rear - pass, front - dr. front, sometimes you have to do it more than once. My sentra the master cylinder is leaking and my pedal feels normal, I did have a caliper leaking one time and a rear wheel cylinder another time and none of the times did the pedal feel spongy or did I lose the pedal all together.
  20. here is the latest code they sent me, 1910596916687870 just enter this in the box that says " How Did You Hear About Us? " when you go to check out, and it will take 5% off your order
  21. Rockauto has a Gates timing belt/water pump/tensioner kit for less than that E-bay one, $76.79, no it doesn't contain the cam or crank seal but they are inexpensive to add and would probably bring the price up to the E-bay kit with known quality parts. Plus the 5% discount with the code.
