  1. the widest tire you could run or the widest tire RECOMMENDED to run on the OEM width wheel would be 2 different things, I would say (and others will disagree I'm sure) on a stock 6.5" wide steel wheel probably a 30/9.50/15, the OEM 7" wide wheels came with 31/10.50/15's
  2. my guy works for himself, not a regular "shop" he just rents 2 bays and does mechanic work on the side, he works full time for Disney.
  3. I wasn't asking for myself, I got a price for Lucidpath and wanted to ask what you all thought of the price estimate. Bad thing is lucid's PF was rear ended recently and his insurance totaled it!! Yeah replacing the dash in the sentra was one of my biggest jobs, the AC switch in the PF was interesting, I think the hardest and biggest job in any vehicle I did was to replace the knock sensors in the Q45 we used to own, cracking the last runner on the intake plenum and having to spend $100 for a new used one didn't help either!! but boy did it run after that !! I want another one now!!
  4. no power at what plugin? Are you talking about the plug that goes to the fog lights? Did you check for power inside the fog light where the wire goes to the bulb? Another thing to check is to make sure you have a ground to the light, you could have power but with no ground the test light ( if that is what you are using) still won't light up.
  5. I'm saying this just by looking at your picture but I think you have to remove the HVAC controls in the middle, there is probably screws behind that as well, was going to post from the FSM but than saw you have the square style dash so I removed the pics
  6. I don't see why the body lift would not work with an automatic, the Nissan trucks use a cable for the auto shifters so there is no linkage or anything to modify, and with a manual trans the shifter just gets lower, so I don't see a difference.
  7. the store probably had a large quantity of the 16" wheels that they are trying to get rid of, I would stick with 15"
  8. Don't mean to jack the thread, but your picture is a good comparison that I want to ask about, I know the hardbody cabs sit higher on the frame than the pathfinder does, and you said you just installed a body lift (3"?) and a suspension with 33's, so I'm posting a old pic of my 87 hardbody with a 3" body lift and a-arm suspension with 33/12.50's on 15 x 8" wheels as a comparison. I do realize the amount of suspension lift you get depends on how much you crank the torsion bars and in my pic my A arms are slightly angled downward but still had plenty of clearance between the A arm and the bump stops. Does my 87 look like it has more clearance between the front tire and the fender than the pathfinder?? It def. looks like more of the frame is visible on my hardbody.

    Hood Paint

the paint straight out of the can def. will not match, that is why body shops will usually feather the paint into the good paint to try and blend it so it is less noticeable, but a body shop as mentioned would be able to mix up some paint that would bring it closer to what the 17 year old paint looks like, my hood was really bad also so much that it was rough in spots, I just pulled the hood, sanded it down and painted it flat black for now. The rest of my truck looked bad when I bought it but after doing the 3 step process using Mothers products (pre-cleaner, sealer/glaze, wax) it looks 100 % better.
  10. I pulled the center console from a 97ish pathfinder at the junkyard and than pulled one out of a 93ish to see how much work would be needed to do to get it to fit, the 93 pass. seat was already out so I had good access to the center of the 93, the console was too wide it would have rubbed on the seats real bad, the e-brake would have to be modified as previously mentioned in other posts, all in all I decided it would be too much work for 2 cup holders
  11. the instructions should have mentioned this but in case they didn't always recheck all your bolts and nuts after 500 miles, lug nuts also, truck looks great !
  12. this applies to Nissan cars - BRING BACK 2 DOOR CARS !! I don't need 4 doors and don't feel no matter what "SE-R" trim you put on a car, spoilers, etc. a 4 door is not sporty, I guess Nissan forgot the impact the 91 Sentra SE-R had on the motoring world, being compared to other "sports" cars and being on the 10 best handling list. (don't even mention the STI & Evo's I know they are sporty but a 2 door version of either car would weigh less and probably perform better). Keep manual transmissions an option and get rid of all the CVT crap trannys Nissan pretty much revolutionized the "mini" truck market with the California design studio modeled Hardbody in 86 1/2, like previously said bring back a "mini" truck, hell the frontier is now based on the titan chassis.
  13. usually on a double tube bumper that was designed to mount a winch the upper tube in the middle under the "hoop" would be cut out and a winch plate would have been attached to the lower tube, at least that is how the old Smittybilt bumpers used to be made.
  14. I figured that's what you did from looking at your in process pics, thanks
  15. the bottom arms where they bolt where the tow hooks go, did you use the same box tubing all the way down? Did you bolt thru the box tubing or did you make the outer hole larger so the bolt head would fit thru?
  16. on some of the other hubs he has listed he has an OEM number listed, maybe they are OEM outside of the US??
  17. I ALWAYS have a list !! LOL
  18. This past Monday we were in a junkyard and in one of the pathfinders there must have been about 7 or 8 of those center caps, don't know if the previous owner was collecting them or if someone was throwing them in there to come back later.

  20. the factory lights most likely are using a relay, if the wattage is the same as the Piaa's or close I would just connect the factory plug to the new lights, if you do not see a factory relay than you can use the Piaa wiring, but instead of using the Piaa switch connect the factory harness to where the Piaa switch would go, this way when you turn on the lights from inside it will trigger (turn on) the Piaa relay
  21. I can tell you what packages your 2 88's have if you would like oh, one other thing, there was no "pink parts" factory option !!
  22. 3000lb. FSM ????? I thought it was the 3050 lb. FSM !! I just checked on the FAST program I have for the 4 world markets (US, JP, Gl & GR) and all 4 have a place to enter a Vin number, so if he decides to PM his Vin # I will see what comes up.
  23. " seriosly though at least on US market wd21s there is no real way to tell what package you have without the sticker being on it. My normal example being both my parts truck and driver. Both 88 se's both different in many aspects." this is incorrect, pm me your vin number and I will look it up using Nissan Fast program, the program decodes the Vin number and will tell what the numbers all mean, I can access all world markets using the FAST program I have: for example here is what the vin reveals for my 94 when entered into main screen of FAST: using the model number info second box top right you take the last 2 digits to decode the package your truck has depending on the year, last 2 digits of model number for my truck are 86 so check this chart below and you find my 94 has the off road package:
  24. right around the corner from me, if you need anything when you get down here let me know.
