  1. That's all I can figure that's wrong with the beast. I was fighting timing issues for awhile. It wouldn't stay in time with a new t-belt, so figured cam sensor bad and replaced dizzy. Did good for about a day, so I reset the dizzy and took it for a test drive. On the way back home, it sounded like a belt squalling and then she died. I got to walk a couple miles and pulled it home. I figured the belt broke, but it's tight. Only problem - the crank turns w/o the cams. Only thing I can figure is the keyway broke for the crank gear. Is this common? But long story short, it's for sale. I figured I'd give you guys first dibs. I'll get a thread started in the for-sale section ina bit to let you guys see it. I was just wondering how common it is for the keyway to break.
  2. Me and my dad did this years ago with our 66 falcon. Truck lock didn't match the doors.

    fuel economy

Kinda hate to thread-jack here, but I've been having about the same problem lately with the crappy mileage. Completely stock 95 auto - awhile back, I had the exhaust redone to move the y-pipe behind the t-case. In doing so, the O2 sensor only reads off one bank now. It's running bad enough now that it doesn't really want to get out of it's own way (NO takeoff) and at cruising speed, it struggles to the point of downshifting to maintain 60 mph. Unplugging the O2 sensor makes it a little better. Just wanting to get some other opinions, but I think the oxy sensor is looking for more fuel causing it to add more fuel. Whaddaya think? A lot of work to test my theory, so I was wondering what you guys think.
  5. if they sell sensa-trac's, they should sell rancho's. monroe makes them both. see if they'll do a warranty return on your monroe's and let you pay the difference for the rancho's.
  6. Nothing about going to manual hubs? Just kiddin, bud. Great information on here.
  7. Damn, I think you all just convinced me to get a ps3. Never had ANY problems out of my 360, but it is LOUD once it starts getting hot.
  8. Chryslers with digital odometer will give you the codes. Turn key off and on like three times and the codes pop up in the odometer
  9. My question is, what the hell u doin on a Jeep forum?
  10. Wix website says M20x1.5 on the pitch
  11. A 235/75 is 28.88 inches tall and a 225/80 is 29.17 inches tall. So, a little over a quarter inch diff in height. Def wouldn't want to go into 4-wheel unless you're in some really slick stuff.
  12. Take out the glovebox, and it's right behind it
  13. Finally got done reading all 12 pages of this.... SO, I guess I'll put the best I got on here It's winter '03-'04. I had just graduated the summer before, and while still in school, bought a 96 ranger. It was a 2wd, ext cab, 5-spd. At the time, I was working third shift at a factory seven days a week. This night, I decided to give myself a night off and called in to hang out with the guys. We're all at a buddy's house, hanging out, and it's drizzling rain outside. About 3 hours later, all that drizzle on the ground turned to ice and now it's snowing on top of that. We decide to drive about 10 miles to another friends house. We get a convoy going down the road and I'm playing a little bit thanks to the weather and the 265/50-15 tires ( if you could even call them tires--more like worn out DOT drag radials) on the back of my truck with NOTHING in the bed (read ~70% of the weight of the vehicle on the front). I figure out it's pretty slick and start to calm down on the skinny pedal. My gf is at work, so I call her to warn her and tell her to be careful in the slippery sheit that's on the road. I'm going about 30 mph in 4th gear and decide I'm going to goose it one last time before we get onto the country roads. BAD idea... Ass-end comes loose and next thing I know, I'm backwards sliding into the other lane and against the guardrail with the back right corner. I'm pissed, get out, assess the damage, and decide it's not that bad. I'm making the most of my fake illness. We get to smaller town and I can't make it up this hill that's half a mile away from my house. So I think about it for a bit....there's a backroad with no hills that will still get me where I want to go! I'll go that way! Remember--slicker than snot, and it's still coming down. I get about halfway down my alternate route and there's a 90-degree left-hander. I know this road, so slow down to prolly 5-10 mph, foot on clutch, and start the turn. I made it halfway before all tires lost what little traction they had and sent me sideways toward the right side of the road. I'm sliding for what seems like forever and BAM!!! I stopped. WTF did I do now? I look from the driver seat over my shoulder and see an oak tree about 2 feet across wedged into corner of the cab....f&$@ck!!! Note this is about 30 minutes after the guardrail. I get out and see how lucky I really was. About 6 inches of tire is on the wrong side of the top of a concrete culvert with a 3-foot drop. The tree kept the truck upright. Who wrecks twice in 30 minutes? Morals learned- don't call in to work unless necessary and stop when you're already behind
  14. That amazes me...what store was it? At the O'Reilly I work at, we take just about anything back. I've had people bring rental tools back 3 weeks later. As long as it still looks alright, no questions asked..... Have you tried taking it to another store to see if they'd give you the deposit back?
  15. Or put some warn manuals in place of your auto's
  16. If that's all the pressure you need, see if you can find something that crosses to an airtex e8012s. We sell that at O'Reilly for about 50-60 bucks. I don't know what kind of parts houses you guys have over there, but it would probably be cheaper than a Holley or walboro with the same results. Hope this helps some... If nothing else, it's another idea
