  1. that taco looks like a 2000 Frontier to me... Just throwin in some pics of cars that I think look good: (all nissans/datsuns of course) *note to admin* sorry if this is taking up alot of bandwidth, you may delete/resize as you wish, these are not my pictures.
  2. Id take a KA over the VG any day of the week. Any other thing than a nissan, I agree with you. Unless they know what they are doing and have forged pistons/turbo/performance cams etc.
  3. pretty much the only lowered vehicles I like. Id say 17" wheels/tires are the maximum size, anything bigger looks stupid. Also, when you cant see the top of the tire, or the body is dragging on the ground, thats dumb and a waste of a vehicle.
  4. The lock cylinder should technically be the same as the ignition then, right? worn the same i mean.
  5. When my dad was tryin to put fender flares on his '93 hardbody wayyy back in 94 or 95, he bought ones from the dealer, went home and they didnt fit... so he went back and specified 2wd, and sure enough they fit like a charm.
  6. all pictures/story at http://nissancustoms.com/viewtopic.php?t=937 Before After    that was a nice pathy too! There is almost no words to say what I feel... oh yeah except for:      DONT DO IT
  7. I got all excited when I saw the title, I thought someone was making a good cupholder for the WDs... *sigh* keep dreamin... Anyway this is cool too... I guess
  8. When I bought my 91 Pathfinder, it came with 2 keys, both were not original. A couple days ago, my locks froze and while I was trying to unfreeze them, broke a key. No problem, except the backup key feels very stiff while turning the ignition and can barely open the outside locks, so I pretty much have to leave the pathy unlocked at all times, which I hate. Plus now, if this one breaks or I lose it or w/e, Im screwed. I took it to get copied, and the new copy does not work. i havent been back to the place where it was made (a real locksmith, not wal-mart or anything), but I was wondering if I could get a key directly from a Nissan dealer. Usually, there is a key number in the glove box, anyone know where it is on the 91 Pathfinder? thanks
  9. daver, could you post a pic up with the dimensions? If so, that's be much appreciated.
  10. mine is off for now, I like the looks better. When ever the weather gets nicer in spring or so Im puttin it back on, before I do, Im gonna take it to be sprayed on with sprayon bedliner.
  11. Took the wheels off, cleaned them and sure enough a huge pile of dried mud was produced. No more shaking. On the way home for lunch today I took the same trail (since its on the way and its a shortcut) and it was pouring rain. My windshield wipers broke. Good thing this happened before, so I knew exactly what happened. The rod underneath the louvers/valiance came off and its only a matter of pooping it back on. The funny part is that it was raining even harder today and more muddy, and without wipers, i had to drive home with my window rolled down and head stickin' out, like ace ventura but add getting mud all over your face at home it was a quick fix and they are working again. I think the Pathy is gettin' even with me for all those times that i may have grinded gears, or did burnouts
  12. I think this is one of the best looking cars of it's time. The only thing I am sad to see is that there isnt an RB26DETT hiding underneath, that would make it a true GT-R
  13. It could probably smoke the americans "muscle" tuned or not. I think domestic are using too much of their muscle and making pretty bodystyles instead of using their brains and improving engines/turbos/etc. Domestic cars use old technology. The Imports are way ahead of domestics
  14. Well said. I wash my Pathy underneath at least once a week, more frequently during winter what with the salt and all. I live in a town thats right on the oceanside. The only rust I have on my pathy is underneath the battery. My car isnt parked under cover, sits in all kind of weather, but I take care of it. My '78 Ford F150, on the other hand is built like a tank. I think they used the "bigger is better" idealogy when building this truck. It was my grandpa's when he bought it new in '78. He has never washed it, its never been undercover. The word that comes to mind is "rust". Box is shot... i feel unsafe stepping in it. The cab has holes in the floor and firewall. Take care of your car and it will take care of you.
  15. I think it would be pretty noticeable if I bent a wheel, and would probably change the drivability (this a word?) in the lower speeds aswell as the higher speeds. Probably a weight missing or mud on the inside. I also just noticed Im missing a center cap on the front.
  16. Whats all this 3k shifting I hear about? I redline every shift I do... j/k, only on steep uphills Since I learned stick in my Pathy, heres some advice: If he has his license already and doesnt need an instructor with him, let him go on his own and he'll figure it out. As long as he knows the basics like clutch out gas in etc. he will have it in no time. Both my parents tried to teach me, and i sucked massively. When they went to work, I took it out by myself just up and down the street for like 20min and I was getting alot better. BTW I didnt have my full license so it was kinda illegal so dont encourage that if he doesnt have his full license....
  17. good point mz. Guess I know what Im doing tomorrow. That curb that i went over was biggger than a normal curb, but I went very slow and ona 45 degree angle so only 1 tire was going over at a time. I really really really hope its just mud hiding on me.
  18. I crawled underneath when I washed it, did all the insides of the wheels. I remember some nice "clunks" and a few "squinks" in the mud, and I did hop a little curb. I guess I'll take the wheels off tomorrow and see what trouble I got myself into...
  19. I was offroading a little bit yesterday, nothing major, mostly mud+snow. I tore that place up for a few mintues, the truck was covered in mud, couldnt see what color it was. Ok, thats great, so im pretty proud of myself gettin that dirty and I go home. Today, I drove downtown to run errands. At 80km/h (50mph) the truck starts vibrating ridiculously, steering actually going back and forth fast, you have to keep 2 hands on the wheel when it does this. The hood is also violently shaking. Its fine driving other than that, just at 50+ it does this. I thought it was mud caked in my rims, so I washed the truck at the carwash, and still did same thing on the way home. What happened??
  20. Luckily its a Nissan brand instead of Infiniti, so its a lower price. However, IIRC the price is about $60-65K. Well worth it for this car. Its up against Porsche 911, Ford GT, Bimmer M6, and a couple others, I think its going to be a top car on the strip. I personally am not getting one, im waiting for 2014 to roll around so I can get a 1999 R34 GT-R GODZILLA LIVES
  21. Here (Canada) I paid $50 IIRC for one from the dealership. My dad just bought a set for his '06 Titan, bushwacker ones. They priced at $800.00 for the full set, yea, i know, holy *&$@. He ended up getting them for $500 and I got my boss at work (bodyshop/paintshop) to only charge $100 for painting them, since I'd do all the work. There is only 2 companies im aware of that make them besides factory: Bushwacker Custom Truck
  22. Ok, after work today i just got mad and went head on into it. The weather was rainy, but that means it was warmer then yesterday since it was snowing then, so i can actually feel my toes + fingers! I got the clock, CD player to work (speaker wires mixed up, no biggie) but now i have no dash lights :sniff: i probably accidentally bumped something off when i took off the dash piece thats around the steering column, hopefully an easy fix, had to drive home from work with no tach or speedo
  23. found it, labled only "Room Lamp" on the '91. Sure enough it was blown, i guess i missed that one.
