  1. Get Mozilla Firefox. It doesnt auto-run scripts like IE. http://www.mozilla.org/
  2. Im pretty sure most Canadians know what Nov 11 means. And have their own way of remembering, and if they choose not to, thats up to them. What are we supposed to do? Run commercials saying: "watch out! here comes Remembrance Day! Time for celebrations, dont forget to buy your 'Remembrance-tshirt' and stop by Leapin' Larry's Car Dealership cause he's having a HUGE sale!!" sorry if i offend here, but IMHO, American's might be a little too 'patriotic'. Some people wear a shirt with the American flag on it and have 2 flags flying from their car, and several more on their front lawn, then complain about their gov't all day. Seems a little ironic. Sorry to get off the topic a little, I didnt forget what this was about. I myself was not affected as some people (both grandfathers fought and lived through WW2 and are still here)
  3. My muffler fell off a couple weeks ago so I dont hear anything cept the loud roar. But before that, I heard a noise like SuperSon heard, a loud noise kinda sounds like a fan runnin overtime or something but only at idle. I dont think it was the same noise as you tho jammer.
  4. If your desperate (or cheap)... grind 2 flat edges onto the nut so it kinda looks like this: (=) the horizontal parts are obviously higher. then proceed to use a large cresent wrench and repeat as needed. Youd probably want to buy new lugs after that, you could buy a set of regular ones, and if you dont think you need the special lugs, its definetley a cheaper route to go. I dont have the keyed ones.
  5. My old physics teacher told me that he removed all the stereos out of every vehicle he owns just because he drives waaaayy to fast when some songs play. I can totally see where he is comming from. Hes one of those cool teachers who do burnouts in the parking lot with the students and tells the principal its a physics experiment oh, and he drives and Xterra, so hes O.K. in my books.
  6. Where: Squamish BC Squashed in between Whistler and Vancouver A 45min drive from North Vancouver (realistically 60min due to construction) What: 91 XE 5spd bone stock Hopefully custom bumper + 5000lb Ramsey winch + some Hellas after winter If your comming up this area, PM me and maybe we could wheel. I dont know many trails up here, but finding them is half the fun (maybe?)
  7. 1255 flying the helicopter, I got 1558, but screwed up the 'print screen' so my entry is 1255.
  8. If they are for free, do it and see. (I did not intend that to rhyme... Im just that good)
  9. Wait, they're making you keep th bars and buy new ones yourself? Whos fault was it, did you order HB bars, thinking they were the same?
  10. Still goin too! Looks like the wind is starting now.
  11. Id drive it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Oldsmobile-...sspagenameZWDVW
  12. Yeah, its funny how bad some people are. Here in BC Canada, we have a good system for learning to drive. When your 16, you can receive an "L" if you get %70 on a written test. This "L" (stands for learners) ables you to drive, only if a person 25yrs of age with DL is in the car with you. You have that license for 1 yr (i think they uped it to 2yrs now). After that 1 (now 2) year, you take a road test with an instructor, if you pass, you recieve an "N" (new driver). You can drive by yourself, but can only have 1 passenger who isnt family. You have to have an "N" for 2 years then take another road test to get your full license. The tests all include parrellel parking, stall parking, and all the basics. An independant company offers a driving course that will reduce the amount of time you need to have your "L" for, 3 month reduction. That means you get your license 3 months earlier, so all the young punks (like myself) like that idea so they take the course ($900). Honestly, I took the course just to get the reduction, but it was really insightful. They teach you points to look for while parrell parking, and its really really easy after that, almost fun. The funny thing is that the younger generation knows how to drive better (dont cry that I said this) than the older gen, just because the tight filter they use to give licenses. I still see people in they're 30s and 40s attempting to parallel park and having to do it 3 or 4 times. Then you see a teenager swing in the first try with ease... just something to think about, dont assume teenagers are all hopped up on every drug and drunk driving really fast everywhere, because the fact is, they are probably the safest driver percentage out there. Wow, I wrote alot
  13. Them are niiiiiiice you may PM me to get the address you are going to send them to at no charge.
  14. hehe, the pathy loves big puddles, and I dont mind them yeah was it that huge muddy puddle? Yeah I figured that peice wasnt Nissan since I eyeballed it and its wider than the stock bumper cap, but if I trim it down, i can make a nice one for my path, its got grooves in it, so better footing. Yeah Im definetly up for wheeling, probably not weekdays since I work till 6 everyday, but weekends, just give me a few days notice and yeah for sure. I plan to not keep it stock for long, maybe suspension lift and 31's or something, but not until the spring, this winter I have a feeling im gonna need the pathy so Im not gonna mess with it. yeah I drive the gold (champagne pearl is what Nissan calls it) pathy.
  15. Brian, I just got back from going up there. To tell the truth, I was a little disapointed to see it on the side of the road, I was hoping for a grand rescue just kiddin, glad to see you got it out, when did you dig it out? Also, are you missing a bumper cap or a black plastic peice that looks like a bumper cap? We took a walk to see where you got stuck, and yeah, good thing it wasnt raining when you dug it out. Anyway, we found a peice of plastic about 4ft long in the mud beside where you got stuck, so I carried it back to the pathy parking and I didnt see any missing bumper caps, so I was gonna throw it in the ditch. But I figured I carried it this long, so I may as well throw it in the back of the pathy. If you find you are missing something, tell me.
  16. Dont even come to Squamish if you want to keep those memories. Its kind of sad what happened : development development development. million dollar homes built everywhere, like 1ft beside each other. Apparently its all about 'tourism' now. theres 2 7-11s. Climbing shop gone, i remember the one your talking about, yeah its kinda depressing.
  17. Whens the last time youve been to Squamish? It has changed alot in the 17 years I have lived here. Houses everywhere you look. Barneys is now a 7-11, I still remember going to Barney's and getting those brown paper bags full of candy when I was a kid. Crime rate has increased quite a bit. A friend of ours just got his house broken into while he picked up his wife from somewhere. He was gone only about 10-15 minutes, and they cleaned the place out... scary stuff. Wal-mart and Home Depot are built and sheduled to open this month in the industrial park, Canadian Tire is always busy, nothings the same.
  18. Yup, classic Squamish weather as well, raining a stupid amount with like 10 min periods where its blue sky and sunny, then your like: "wtf?" and then it hails.
  19. Unexpected pathy problems arise, so unfortunately, I cant make it. I emailed you PathFound, hope you understand. Good luck, and dont forget the camera! PS at least the weather looks nice, blue sky and hint of sun.
  20. too bad it wasnt earlier. oh well... my friend has an 87 hardbody but i dont think its in running condition, and his dodge is doing another job, so yeah hes ridin shotgun. Yeah, Ive been to upper squam lots of time and i know the campground your talking about. Im gonna bring all my slings, a firemans axe (good for clearing mud and hackin trees) and maybe more if i can remember, oh and definetley bringin cookies. The plan so far is to meet at Rona, but dont wait for us, just carry on. Like you said, if we miss you, we'll head north. If we cant make it, I will phone you just to tell you. yeah, rona sells planks, at least mountain building center did (the company that rona bought out this year) so i assume they do
  21. PS, looks like its raining alot out there, so it might even get worse by tomorrow morning. Im wearin my gum boots
  22. negative on the winch. Its in 3 different peices... i dont have any wiring for it, plus, i dont dare mount it on the stock bumper, i want to keep the bumper on for at least the winter sly I Emailed my friend who is comming, he also wants to go in the morning. I guess we could meet at Rona and I could follow you up there.
