  1. Good source for each state's laws Linky Linky
  2. When i go out wheeling: cargo box filled with jumper cables standard and metric socket set 1/2" drive (cheap sets from Harbor Freight) metric and standard wrenches (Yup, Harbor Freight) 2 snatch straps (10,000lb capacity each) 2 d-rings (10,000lb each) 2 10lb ABC Extinguishers (Always a high fire risk here in SoCal) bunch of misc bolts with nuts and washers 100' roll of stainless steel bailing wire (Found it at harbor freight for $15) A couple pieces of 3/4" plywood (2'x3') Couple pieces 4x6's (good for raising the jack if necessary) Bottle jack (Came with truck) 2 1/2 ton hydraulic jack Tons of map
  3. That stuff looks like goo! Like YOZSI said...some mudders, front and rear locked and the go pedal would have got you out.....but i should shut up now since i did the same thing, except the "pudddle" i hit dropped off 3 feet on the passenger side and buried me almost up the passenger window.
  4. I was too lazy years ago when setting up e-mail accounts for myself. I used my initials KMG but was taken, then it was suggested by Netzero that kmgar99 was unused, so i took it and now i use it for everything. Man that's lazy, lame too!
  5. Can you reset the computer and have it re-learn new shift points based on the new speed and RPM range? I added 32x11.5x15's and haven't really had the problem. But right after i had the tires installed, i drove home....about 1 mile....and had to work on the emmissions system so i disconnected the battery for 3+ hours. I hooked it back up the next day and drove it back and forth for work....about 50 miles one way. That was over a year ago. It definitely rev's higher, but still shifts at the speeds it used to shift at. Maybe i'm talking out my exit only hole.....
  6. A True Long travel IFS would be great for my R50, since i hit Ocotillo and Glammis a few times a year....but for most R50 owners, i think a good solid no frills suspension lift that allows more front end travel would be great. Good luck with this.....
  7. We can always count on Pezzy to defend us while we're away! Thanks Pezzy...i think you should be promoted!
  8. I got a 3 year unlimited alignment for $139USD at an Express Tire place here in SoCal. I've used it twice in 6 months, no cost and no questions asked.....some hefty sand launches and woops in Ocotillo caused my drivers side to out less than 1/4 inch (Camber). Most R50's don't go out of alingnment under normal driving...Just the way they're designed.
  9. I didn't think ARB made a rear Locker for the R50? Maybe his doesn't have the rear LSD.....
  10. Slightly off subject, but how do you "Tune" the antenna?
  11. Real easy.....run a fused power wire (14awg) off the ACC or Battery circuit on the fuse block and find a good bare metal spot for the ground wire. The hard part is routing the antenna wire....Be sure NOT to ground it to anything that already has something grounded to it or you might get some interference....i apparently grounded mine originnaly to the same spot/metal where my wipers were grounded.....got a buzzing through the CB everytime the wipers turned on. I didn't notice it for 6 months after the install....Not much need for wipers here in SoCal.
  12. I bought a cheapy from Rack Shack Rack Shack I works OK, but i need a better antenna. I use it a lot when i go out to the desert here in SOCal....most of the Rangers keep channel 22 available for rescue and of course channel 9 will almost always get you help. Our group had to use my CB last March out in Ocotillo Wells, when one of my co-workers went over the handle bars of his dirt bike landing from a jump and broke his collar bone and had a compound fracture of his right femur....sticking through his riding pants....Nasty stuff.....No cell phone coverage, so i called for help on channel 22 and within 5 minutes two ranger trucks showed up with fully equipped paramedics.... I will never be without it again!
  13. I've never done it but i imagine, you may need: 1st - Does a 2wd have anything in the way of the 4wd system? ECU (As stated by nismoskyz) Wiring harness' (This might be the major issue) Lots of time Hydraulic jacks Jack stands Dollies to move the whole front suspension system in place Helpers Tools and of course BEER! Lots of it!
  14. Welcome Back! You look great! Hope to see you around a little more often.....Lots of things been happening around here.....
  15. I had a Sony Xplod that worked fine/sounded fine, but my wife just bought me the Pioneer DEH-P4800MP for Christmas and it sounds much better. Works great with my Sirius. Was able to move my Sirius unit to my wifes can and use the Pioneer to control the Sirius in the Pathy. only problem....a little too much power for the factory Bose speakers....time to rip the whole Bose thing out and wire up an new AMP and speakers.....
  16. Actually, it ran good on the freeway...i kept it at 50MPH. The front end was definitely at is limit....tires were barely touching the ground.....No bottoming out or wierd handling! I'm running BFG AT KO's 32x11.5x15 with the AC lift coils and Bilstein shocks....I highly recommend the Bilsteins... BTW...that was the third load i took home that day! Not sure i'd load it that much again, but the Pathy is my Home Depot hauler and has done it's share of heavy hauls.
  17. I nearly caved in my roof, hauling sheetrock and concrete board, until i got my roof rack. The picture is with a 4,000lb pallet of floor tile in the back. They had to load it with a forklift. It really sucked having to unload the pallet, box by box....man i need a forklift at home!
  18. Thats the upper console thingy that goes right below the rearview mirror on a R50! It olny has map lights, sunglass holder, and sunroof controls...Man that thing is the exact same color as my truck!
  19. Hey Cannonball....you ever go wheelin at lake moreno? It's called Corral Canyon....off the 8East past Alpine....I think it's closed right now due to a fire, but they'll re-open it soon. Great place to go in the winter.
  20. Get a ARB front bumper...run them all off the road on your way to the desert!!!
  21. SoCal IE (Inland Empire) Murrieta/Temecula.....Slick also wanted to know why. I'm in IE because the houses were cheap and i got a pool! But man it's HOT!
  22. Big pair of Vice Grips worked on mine!
