hmmm.... I ohmost got a FJ60 over my first pathy when was looking... it had a modified 235 (revised chevrolet engine from the 50's, bought by toyota)... it also had classicly ugly looks, but I have to admit it was a beast.... but I love my pathy...

I did the K&N Cone filter swap on my 90, and I loved the throwtiness of the intake but, but it basicly eliminated anyways of fording water. (I realized this after the fact) haha. But stupid as I was I ended up waterlocking it, which means pulling the plugs turning over the engine to get the water out of the cylinders, and crossing your fingers for not having any bent rods or screwed up sensors. So Lesson learned. CONE FILTER ARE GREAT FOR HONDAS... but not for anything that your even potentially going to end up going thru water with, or dirt roads or anything of the like. Now I am going to be installing the snorkle .... Cone filter = Big freakin mistake... Pic after my install on my old pathy...

I have had 2 1990 Pathys. 1 XE and it was a beast. I loved that thing. It has even donated parts to my 1990 SE... but I have to say I like the SE. Where my XE had power windows, locks, but no A/C. My SE has auto climate control (which I love, and yes I know, I am a pansy when it comes to heat) But both have manuals. But my XE had the rear tire carrier as My SE doesent. Neither of them have factory roof racks... But my SE seats are 10x better than my XE seats. Also my SE doesent have chrome bumpers, as my XE didn't either. So as far as I can tell the only differences between My XE and my SE is the chrome trim around the dash, A/C and the front seats. But I have to say just because of the seats, the SE is the hands down winner in my book. :bow: (Damn that back of mine) HAHAHA.

I first started because is was always something my dad and I said we were going to do, but we never really had the chance to while I was at home, so I started going on my own. I got a pathfiner, and realized how much fun it is, and now mostly to just get away from all the crap in life. I helps my mind wonder from day to day troubles, and oh, it is aways fun to see the look on some peoples faces when your keeping up when the have 2x the foot print. ...

Question: I may be a hipocrite by saying this or rather asking it. Why do people here rag on people so much. If the oaner has the cash flow, and they want to do something why do you drag them down. I just don't get it. I working at a KFC so by no means am I rich ... I am peacing together my rides slowly (Audi 4000S Quattro and my pathy). No offence but I find that the people at my audi forums are way more supportive in building your ride than here.... and also You know a little support for people that can acually go out and do things right away would be nice. I know if I had more cash to do things to my ride, I would hope people would be supportive of me... but that's just me...

Guys I was wondering if a 1990 3.0 maxima engine will fit in my pathy. I know I would have to change over the intake and such, but the block and heads is what I am after. So any info would be great. Thanks guys!

One thing I have defenetly found in the 4x4, as being Nissan fans we are defently the underdogs. But as the underdogs we will go and defently kick some jeep a$$!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I know the alarm system is always asked about. But I have set it off before, and I only see lights flashing. I was wondering if your guy's alarms use their horns too??? I am still learning how to get that thing to go off. I do know if you have it on and you have the driver's door open for more than about ten seconds it goes off. Also one night I let my dog out, and I looked over and all of my lights were flashing. At first I was alarmed, (excuse the punn) But I looked around and saw nothing. No damage to my pathy, from what I could tell there was no one around. It has gone off randomly with no one around 2 other times. I do know sound wasent a factor, and touching it, though I was standing next to it when it did this once. also.... what about windows or a motion sensors??? Thankyou for all of your guy's help. I just can't for the life of me figure Nissan's alarm system out. -Ben
