  1. Kennel is a really good idea. Would also prevent dog fur from getting everywhere and prevent your leather from getting scratched, if you have leather that is. My friend try to put his mutt in my pathy but i just locked the doors so he couldn't get in, didn't want my mint 93SE leather interior ruined.
  2. Does it really matter if its seized like that? Mines been doing it (bus like sounds) for almost a year. Seems to run a bit cooler that way though
  3. Hey 5523pathfinder, my 93 has the E-AT switch and the OD On/Off switch. I think they are different things other than being trans related.
  4. The e-at switch allows you to switch the trans between Auto (normal driving) and power (sporty driving, steep hills etc...) that comes right from the manual of my 93SE. Pretty sure its the same. Try it out and see if it works. I'm 17 also and my dad gave me his 93SE. Great trucks
  5. Might want to measure first just in case. Before dad gave me the 93 pathy he wanted to see if the legos with 31x10.5's would fit on his 2000 r50. He had just bought new tires for the 93 and wanted to use them as winters. They did NOT clear the front calipers.
  6. My 93 has been having trouble firing up as well. It'll turn over and over and then finally start firing but very rough and you have to give it alot of gas to get it going properly but thats only if its left off for more than a few days. Im going to try some injector cleaner and see if that clears up the problem but hey maybe my ignition is going out as well.
  7. Hey Im some clueless kid (17) whos revved their engine to 5k rpm a few times but I still respect my truck. And mws said if its been well maintained it'll last forever if you want it too. Oh and yes check for rust, especially on the frame.
  8. Thanks, I need all the help I can get
  9. Fluid film website you can buy it at most hardware stores like lowes or canadian tire
  10. Here in Ontario Canada the roads are salted like you wouldnt believe...
  11. Ive got one thing to say. Mines worse, that upper control arm mount is broken off.
  12. What do you mean by new supports? I right now am currently repairing my severly rusted frame and could use some pointers. thanks az
  13. Oh I've got another question about this frame business. This truck is NOT currently plated for the road. It will have to go through an ontario safety inspection. So is there any possibility of this thing passing it with the frame patched up with plates?
  14. Sometimes when i visit this site my virus scanner starts picking up a bunch of files in the temporary internet files folder saying they are infected with a trojan. Ive completly scanned my pc and theres none now but its done it from different pc's. Also it tries to get me to download a bunch of files. It even happend today at school while I was on spare, well at least those aren't my computers and network.
  15. Yeah, my rust in the area where the mount is located is worse than yours and I'd really appreciate any suggestions on how to put in back on.
  16. Is it common for this thing to come off with the pathfinder frame rust? And also, will it be a difficult task to mount it back where it came from?
  17. I found a pic on Slicks webpage that I put arrows on to show which bar fell off the frame. Im currently trying to find some steel so i can re mount it.
  18. Mine does it too, well untill i pulled the A/C belt off and it stopped. Turns out the little tensioner pulley is either just noisy, worn, or needs lube. I figure its the culprit because the a/c belt is the only one with a tensioner on my 93.
  19. The best I can describe it as is a steel tube that is welded to the bottom of the frame with a mount right in front of the rear wheels. If you have a lift you can see it plain as day. Its sitting on top of the exhaust right now and i tried to lift it but its really heavy. I have been slowly cuttin out the other rusty parts and plating it in, but this looks like it'll be the hardest. thanks and i hope that described it better this time.
  20. Anyone got any suggestions how to mount it back up?
  21. So I finally got off my lazy but to fix this thing and now I have a question. The bar that i thought was a cross memeber for the frame that had broken off seems to be connected to the rear axle, is this a vital part of the truck for safety? I don't have any pics but maybe one of you guys knows what im talking about. thanks
  22. Someone should really make a write up for fixing the frames on these things. Im getting and tired of people telling me that frame rust can't be fixed. Ill be getting around to my frame as soon as the darn canadian tire here gets more welding wire spools in. Should keep me busy for the next while.
  23. Will a 70A welder work? I just bought one and hope it will.
  24. Personally, I would let the shop handle it as Im going to. I welded once in high school (still in grade 12 now) but I don't believe that i could actually weld my frame and its crossmember on because i think a shop would do a much better job than i ever could. good luck though as my 1994 is still sitting out back at my buddies untill i have the time/cash to get it fixed.
