  1. Thanks for the quick response!-) Back to wrenchin'
  2. Finally got around to replacing my exhaust studs (welded nuts onto broken studs and they came right out!-) Now I can't find my manual to look up min/max torque specs of the studs so I can put the thorleys back on. Thanks! Mike
  3. You also need something to weld to!-) Boxed mine with mostly 1/4"
  4. thanks Jim! (Just after I scraped the url off for being bad...)
  5. Or go with the Xtra heavy duty!-) Calmini steering may as well fix it GOOD!-) who is sleeping with grasshopper 4x4 and flamin' Calmini? Things are startin' to make sense now

    Temp Issues

Neither of my pathies ever heated up on its own I put a piece of cardboard over 3/4's of the radiator and I have heat but the truck never gets too hot. 5W-30 is what I run in the winter a reverse flush for coolant, use regular water as it all comes out anyways. How did you get 19 gallons in the tank? 16 gallon/270 = 16.8 mpg I wish I could get that or close to it! Guess I shouldn't have added 500lbs of metal?-)
  7. Yep I got locked out a couple times, now I roll the window down (& have a spare key in bumper & Wallet) Was 10 below and I had to run out and unlock the gate at work on a Saturday as we were getting shipments (I was there alone) Doors locked as I got out to open the gate... Doors at work auto-lock also... And not a good time to have my sandles on. Going to give that fix a try (both my pathies do it so I guess I try it on the spare first!-)
  8. high output alternator Mean Green has been around for many years
  9. You sure it's lifters and not the exhaust manifold?
  10. when I run my 33/12.5's I have the same issues; 31/10.5's no issues. Due to all the snow/ice the roads are heaving a bit and with the crap on the roads it will pull alot. (steering stabilizer would help "roaming" effect) have yet to put mine on; had it in the garage for almost 3 years now... When was your last front end alignment? if you adjusted torsion bars etc it could just need an alignment. You choose a school yet?
  11. Blue top is a starting/deepcell (used one in my pathy all winter last year and it started in 20 below without an issue) Still had high CCA; I screw the winch right to the secondary top post (not the sideposts that could melt out when a winch is connected;-) separator link
  12. Is it falling in and out of overdrive? (3 speed with overdrive) or between 2nd & 3rd? What sized tire size are you running? Did you install an aftermarket cooler yet? (you should bypass the stock cooler)
  13. Take one for me! Work is suckin' today and just found out the company I work for has been sold...
  14. Vacuum lines in that cold should be a fricken treat! It's -1C here and snowing like a bitch; time to start the sled my friend! and it better be electric start! Maybe hit the vacuum lines with WD-40 while it is running and if it quits acting up for a moment then you know it is a cracked vacuum line but I doubt that is the issue. Damn EGR rust issue as rob was saying could be the issue. I'll sound like a broken record... try running seafoam thru the vacuum lines and down the "carb"
  15. Harley Edition South Park style VROOM VROOM VROOM Have a buddy that talks like this... Hi Hows it... Jeep... Jeep... Harley... going? I'm doing... Jeep Harley Jeep... Good; been Harley Jeeeeeeep... tightening bolts... Jeep Harley... alot Gets real annoying; and living in Milwaukee I can truthfully say loud bikes are for ****... South Park got the F.. word right Fo' Sho' Yo! Nothing like a 50 pound dude in leather pretending to be tough on his loud bike at midnight (every 5 minutes here, reason I did the bumpers in 5/16" with a blade edge) I'm a 4 wheel drive 1%er If you like the badge; thats all that matters; I also thought it was a side marker light :coffee!: And nope Ford anything edition will have low respect here; But won't Bash Ford as they didn't take our tax $ aka government cash.
  16. Picked up my Maxima alternator at Autozone & it was 95 amp 5 amps is 5 amps!-) Haven't had one die yet but it was screaming that it had sand/grit in it.
  17. I buy it in gallon cans... both my pathies drink it, 250K & 230K 78 Case 222 tractor loves it (never need to wrench on it; secretly a Nissan?-) Boat is stored with a 1/4 tank of gas and seafoam every winter; Fill her up with gas in the spring and it is ready to go. Only thing is if you add to oil let it idle; don't go for a drive as the "constructions" say. driving anything with thinned oil under load is not a good thing. It isn't a miracle elixer so if you have a bad valve or other issues it won't fix them. Also stops the gas tank varnish/gunk when gas gets old (like stabil)but works better IMHO.
  18. Still waiting to bust my MM's also; tried alot but just won't break
  19. Ask Rob... Robs thread More than likely get the best price even with shipping
  20. But also you manned up and someone else will learn from it. Amsoil makes the best blinker fluid...
  21. Now for the blinker fluid...
  22. My 95 did that when the o2 sensor went bad (I know you don't have the code) but I could idle it all day but it would move maybe a foot sputtering when I would put it in drive. (I know yours has like 3 or 40(4) of them) I'm not sure how to check them as I replace them (but replacing 1 is cheap) 4 not so cheap. Hopefully someone will chime in with a how to check them. Good Luck!
