  1. i bet you gotta unbolt the whole subframe and let it droop a little
  2. on my 2000 i had to over tighten them too. it worked fine
  3. hey, im curious about my cloth?????
  4. Your not going to find anything listed for energy suspension. I had my links.... i cant remember what they are actually called but the parts that come off of the swaybar and are strait and bolt to the frame. Well anyways i removed mine and compared them to ones at autozone and they had the same bolt on fitment but were offered in near stock length and shorter and longer. I was wanting longer ones because i THOUGHT that my swaybar was limiting rear articulation until i found out it was my shocks.
  5. Is this true in 2000s? I got mine in manchester tn at roberts nissan and they showed me where it was purchased brand new from there and traded in by the origional owner and i am the second owner. It has cloth.
  6. I already asked. Not in their origional design and they said we might have to modify it ourself in order for it to fit. Lets keep our fingers crossed that they will drill out holes everywhere that there are holes on our frame so any other accessorys that are made for the front might work.
  7. On pavement i only use 4wd if the roads are very flooded or if i need to take off into busiy traffic when it is raining and need the extra peace of mind that i will not spin out. Then i put it back into 2 hi. Maybe you have a lsd. Sounds like a trait of one. next time it is wet, peel out and have a buddy watch. See if both tires spin. If they do, you most likely have a lsd and you are lucky! Then learn how to drive with a lsd and consider yourself lucky!
  8. i thought stillen or ebiach made some. energy suspension makes bushings and different length pieces that go to the frame but im not sure how shorter or longer length pieces would affect the ride. I would rather my bars be loose anyways but i guess i got the 9000s so i can adjust how it rides anyways. Oh and i drive like grandma anyways.
  9. no he is trying to trick us and make us think he is on steep grades! If you have windows xp it is really easy to rotate pics without a photo editor. Just the standard pic viewer.
  10. No they are 2" lower in the front than the rear.
  11. What is the ballpark usd we would be looking at to get one of them in the states? Anyone?
  12. That would be much apprechiaded! Yea and i know i cant spell. Im sure that if you use bolts you could probably use longer bolts and have holes tapped in each location on the mount that the frame has. I know its a little more work but it seems like with these r50s that moidifing one thing means you can not modify something else.
  13. What about a brush guard? Would one fit or can the holes that are on the frame be mimicked on the winch mount to allow mounting for the brush guard? I cant give that baby up! It would probably be mounted a 1/4" lower though.
  14. Hey B whats up dog? Thats some bad news man. Forget about that other one for a bad day of wheeling. After you install your new one you will know what i mean. It aint fun putting them in and could not imagine doing it on the trail! It would be bad enough getting one out if you had the right tools with you and would be alot easier if it broke in 2 pieces. Damn i know you blew all your dow on that lift too!
  15. I havent been paying any attention to this thread because I felt what i posted seemed normal too. So i didnt feel that I had a problem. I didnt even think about it locking! Im positive that is what it is doing! Thanks Dean for making me look well, a little less crazy!
  16. why not just lift it anyways?
  17. use a 265 75 16 with a 16x7 and 4" bs wheel and forget about the baseball bat. that is a 32x10.5 That is too close for comfert in some spots but in that pic it is at full tuck, It wont go any farther up than that. As close as 1cm in spots!
  18. I tink that 99.5 and up has a different running board/bar hanger pattern. I dont see why you could not drill and thread or use self tapping stuff though. They will be the approprate length/height/width unless they interfere with the front mudflaps, which they should not. In that case remove them.
  19. Oh i forgot to comment that the valve body thing is what made me think of this. I was wondering if having the shifter in different gears has something to do with opening or closing valves that pump fluid mabye freeing up resistince in the tranny or something letting less strain be on the motor to allow it to rev different. Or if the same thing with valves to open or close while in drive to allow for the same things to happen. I know im speaking a foreign language but im tired and cannot find the righ words. Lets put it this way. It happens when the same gear is being used for 20 or more seconds under accelleration some times and seems to have a benefit on accelelorating and defenatially does not seem to be a slipping tranny because each gear or supposed sub gear is solid with the throttle. Yall scratching your heads at me yet? Or does someone else have the same thing happening? According to nissan you should all have experienced this wheather you noticed or not, or just cant understand what im saying. I probably would not be able to understand myself if i didnt know what im TRYING to explain.
  20. Mine does something like that in all gears anyways and i have heard that nissan tested their cvt transmission tech on our pathy trannies. Say im taking off in first but have it in drive. It seems the motor will rev different not the same to in ratio to speed if i have it pulled down into first. The same as if it were in second and in drive as opposed to having the shifter in second and being in second. The same with being in 3rd and having od selected as opposed to having the button not selected. And sometimes is seems to use each gears different ratios when just having it in d. Like each gear shifts 3 times. I really cant explain what im trying to say but in my case it really does not seem like a problem. It is not however caristic to a slipping tranny, and i have had plenty experience with them!!! None of the gears seem to rev out of hand or inconsistantly. It is like each gear has 2 distinct close ratios. They are most apparent when on the freeway gong up the mountain. My buddies folks used to have a 02 3.5 2wd auto pathy brand new at the time that did the same thing and that is when they took it to the dealer as a possible glitch and the dealer said that they had a form of the cvt tranny and that it is ok. Has anyone had anything like this happen. I think it is ok i'm just wondering if maby it is the origional poster of this thread is mis diagnosing his problem and that could be why the dealer finds no problem.
  21. Yea here is a better idea. Drain out some fluid so you are low. Get a fitting to connect the two hoses and bypass the tranny cooler all together. Dont allow it to got into OverD and keep it in 2nd as much as you can but dont over rev the motor too much. I had a auto cross 240sx automatic. I blew 2nd gear and only used first! I kept it in first all day because it was such a slow track and noticed no slipping. When i got on the highway i had no 2nd and a very slippy od. EDIT: make sure you set it back up all factory befor you bring it to the dealer. They defenatly would not honer the warrenty if they knew you did this! For the small fee of $500, I wont tell them lol!
  22. one of my buddies had a 01 4x4 le with out one. my 00 4x4 le does. If you have one check to see if it is still in factory spec. Mine needed adjusted after lifting it. If you have one and are interested i can plegerise my hanes manual letting you know how. It will be easy to tell if you dont have one. You diff carrier where an inspection plate would be if it were any other truck will have 2 threaded holes where it should be. It says to bleed it first too in the manual befer front or rear when bleeding so go back and do it in sequence. I was getting excessive brake dust in the front which led me to check it and it was out of factory spec but it looked like that the way i adjusted it should hurt me more but i was probably just looking at it wrong because the brake dust is down now. If i remember correctly the bleeder should be at the top of the valve body and to adjust it loosen the bottom bolt and the top one is eggshaped so loosen it get a ruler and push the lever away form the spring til it stopps. You need some 8.7ish or 8.75 or something inches from where the spring connects to the mount on both mounts when the lever is pushed all the way form the spring. That allowed the LSV lever to sit in the middle at rest position.
  23. not to get on the exhaust subject but just get a turbo muffler welded on where ever your exhaust ends a turbo tube would be even cheeper but then again they are cheep and only quiet for around a week but defenatly knock the noise down even after they are broke in. similar in size to a glass pack but you cant see through them and i think have cotton and stuff that alot of it blows out. It will sound similar to them civics that all the wanna be cool kids drive around but will be quiet at idle and lower rpms. Like 25 to 30$ installed. get a job at mc donalds for a day to pay for it.
  24. DON'T DO IT!!!! Ok now that that is out of my system, lol, see if the parts store has any kind of quick disconnect things for wireing harnesses. For example like the male and female things on cd players so they can be removed and easially hooked back up. It would take some time to get the first install right but you would save time in the long run. I dont know if you intend on wheeling like that, but i guess if you keep it on the road and dont get into an accident everything would be ok. I dont ever drive around with my doors open so im not sure if door ajar indicator woud be the only problem but probably nothing to worry about. Yea, too bad nissan didnt make jeep wranglers. Ill never own nothing but a nissan hopefully, gotta stay loyal, but you always what its like to try something else out. I guess were married to nissan.
  25. They really arnt made adjustible but you could use a 100w bulb and add washers to the bottom bolt holding it in like me! It makes them shine out a little farther, when my brights are on, there is no gap in the light on the road that i can see from my fog lights to my high beams!
