My Sentra intake cost me $6 on ebay, I use an amsoil AE filter with it.
-
I HATE it when that happens!
-
Do you guys spray out the inside of the frame when you go to the carwash? I have been doing this, to make sure nothing flows out except clean water, but not sure if it is a good idea to keep it up?
-
ATF in a sprayer works, but it's messy. You basically want something with lots of rust inhibitors in it sprayed all over the inside of your frame. I am still not sure what I want to do with mine yet, but I want to do something quick.

the entire fan shroud or the bottom piece? I left the bottom piece off and trimmed the edges a bit. Works perfect.

Thanks 88. The ride around town today wasn't too bad, at highway speed it seemed like it would be a scary proposition to dodge anything. I'm getting a feel for it right now, might have to put it back on because I will be doing alot of highway driving in the months to come and there is alot of wildlife in these parts.

I wnet and did some R&D for you just now No rear swaybar:
-
Ok, I know it has been discussed in detail and i apologize for beating a dead horse in advance. I want some new shocks and I was wondering if I could only do rears right now and run stock up front. Will this make it ride squirrely or anything? Second, I want some slightly longer shocks for a bit more flex (I do not have a SL). I referenced the shock part number thread and it appears as though the RS5116's are a tad longer both extended and collapsed, will these fit a non suspension lifted pathfinder? Lastly, I believe I read before that if one was to remove the rear sway bar (which I did today) and replaced the shocks with Rancho 5000's, the on-road and highway ride would still be quite good and limit body roll, is this correct? Thanks in advance, and my apologies to the poor dead horse.

Yes those are for the safety loop. I didn't use mine, just left the loop off. The black bolts are for the rearmost 2 mounts. I think there should be 2 of those in your kit.
-
Nice work I may have to do the same

I used my rusty old pry bar and my feet

I found it! However, when I grabbed the strap to re-attach it, the end connected to the block broke off pssd. Both straps seem to attach to arbitrary points on the body inside the engine bay and also to the exhaust shield. So I guess now I have 2 ground straps to upgrade/replace. Something partsource would carry?
-
Thanks for the reply. The strap in the picture IS connected to the block, it's the other end that I need to find a place for
-
No, stock headers... i was curious about weather or not that one in the picture attaches to the alternator?
-
I THINK these are ground straps anyway... steel braided type straps, I have one dangling near my steering res, connected to the body. I think that one is supposed to be attached to the exhaust shroud on the other side? And I have this one (pic attached) hanging by my alternator, just noticed it recently, has an electrical type connector on the dangling end and also appears to be attached to the exhaust shroud. Can you tell me where this one attaches? Is it safe to drive without one or both of these disconnected?
-
I'd go with the chromies. I just got 32" Pro Comp MT's... your going to love them
-
Well I better get some good ones in there, thanks
-
I have these bolts on my hitch, anyone know the grade of them? I don't want to try a recovery and lose the hitch
-
They have it attached to the safety loop???? Yeah that would definitely be why your getting bad vibes. The place I had mine done at routed it so they could use the stock hangers since they were in good shape.
-
Summit has some painted pacesetters for about 280 i believe.
-
i think i paid around 350 for mine with 2.25 from the Y and a flowmaster super 40. the pipe is filthy cheap, mainly muffler cost and labour
-
I'm happy with my 2.25... I wouldn't go bigger. Got mine done at a small family owned place with great service and knowledgeable staff, can't go wrong there
-
Doug Thorley headers are good ones, Pacesetter is cheaper, but are also lower quality.
