  1. Screw you fan clutch, you killed my water pump.

dam that sucks, well at least you found out what it is now.

yeah oh well looks like i'm getting another timing belt in there lol

  2. If you want dual exit you can get a single in and dual out muffler assuming you can stuff those pipes under there.
  3. Yes it will be louder with a bigger pipe but you want the size to match the RPM range that you use the engine in. Since a VG30E typically runs to 5000 rpm on acceleration you want something that will not choke the engine out at that speed. I had really good luck with a 2.50" pipe but you can also use a 2.25" just fine.
  4. Yeah I am not sure what he's saying here. If all the bushings are good (especially the tension rod bushings) it should drive fairly smooth. An alignment might be a good idea too. What I'm saying is it will never drive as good as a car though.
  5. Try taking apart your seized motor and building a VG34E out of it.
  6. The noise has been getting louder so I don't know. I can try a different belt but since the problem actually started with new v-belts I think the bearings on the water pump got squished.
  7. I have one of these and they're the best because they're very easy to clean. I got one because I was looking into a potential drink cooler conversion. Also, the heavy arm rest on top of the original console tends to break the console.
  8. I'm done debating about it because it's going nowhere. I can already see that people can't live without their cup holders and will religiously argue for them no matter what I say about them and how they're not all that necessary. At least don't mount them where they can get the drink to spill on something important. Anything loose in a vehicle is never a good idea if you don't want any broken windows or head injuries. A wheel will not fly off ever if you know how to maintenance your vehicle. No, I don't like fast food every day, I was using it as an example.
  9. Let me know if there are any clearance problems anywhere with those.
  10. Ok I'm done debating about cup holders. Next person that has to stop for a bus and has their drink fly out of the cup holder is going to know what I'm talking about.

I use #1 and #2 all the time for bottles. #3 isn't that great and really brittle so got to be careful there.

Yeah..it definitely is brittle. No doubt about that. I got mine from a JY and one of them was cracked. Gorilla glue doesn't work that well either. I'm going to have to reinforce them somehow. Also, why is that all the center consoles I've found

      (4) have this sweet smelling, sticky caramel type syrup at the bottom?

Cause that sticky ass syrup was a factory option.

  11. Yeah but when anything whines I take it as an early warning sign. I'm going to try and replace the water pump as soon as possible even if it's not leaking.
  12. I hit the front ones before and lost one upper one. They are only like $5 each at the dealer. The back ones are there in case of something dumb happening like nunya mentioned.
  13. Me? I never made it, my drawing went in the garbage.
  14. They have the same flow rate because they are the same injector.
  15. It was a stupid idea, I scrapped the project.
  16. Are you saying that things don't spill out of cup holders? If so then you're mistaken. Obviously it's better if the cup holder is there to hold your beverage but why provoke yourself putting it there? If you slam on your brakes, your drink will go flying regardless, it's basic physics. If you want coffee all over your window and climate controls in case you have to hit the brakes really hard then go ahead use an ash tray cup holder.
  17. I was close to doing this on a pathy once...
  18. I guess they didn't have those fast food cups in Japan back in the day. I would rather not drink anything out of those fountains anyway. If I'm taking fast food home, I don't get the drinks. It saves a lot of money and that stuff spills regardless if you have a cup holder or not. Once you hit the brakes too hard drinks will fly out of cup holders.
  19. I would put something there just to be on the safe side. Doesn't have to be OEM as long as the bump stops can bear the weight of the vehicle.
  20. You can't get mush ride out of a WD21 Pathfinder. It's just not happening. The suspension is designed to perform off-road so it won't be as great on the road. I can explain why it rides bad compared to an average car (or even an R50 Pathfinder) as well but don't want to jack the thread.
  21. That's a great book. If you notice, most if not all dual exhaust systems also feature an X-pipe or an H-pipe to increase the torque because of this theory. Some cars have dual mufflers all the way in the back to make them quieter and to reduce exhaust back pressure at the same time.
  22. That could be a good reason to upgrade then! I guess the manuals were not perfect either.
  23. There are advantages and disadvantages to both power and manual. Ask yourself if you really need those power windows. If you go through ticket booths all the time then it's probably better to have power windows. If you are just doing it as a random upgrade then stay manual.
  24. Exactly! That is the reason why I only use spill proof containers in those. If you don't want to be missing from the vehicle then why not get out sooner? Actually, I commute daily and find it distracting to be drinking something while driving. I can wait between meals and drinks too like I get along just fine with 2 or 3 meals per day. If I had to drive somewhere far there are plenty of other things I could be doing except sipping on coffee. If I wanted coffee I would drink it before heading out. Too much coffee is bad for you anyhow.
  25. If you can take a picture of your door I can probably tell you. Chances are you will need to find new door trim panels that have the power window extrusions.
