  1. I think with all vehicles, a dealer is obligated to replace any worn out or malfunctioning equipment. A friend of mine just brought a 98 Dodge Ram into the province and it failed inspection due to the light on the dash not indicating that the seatbelt wasn't latched. Dodge fixed everything, no charge.
  2. Whoeveer was behind the camera took some great shots. Your rig is looking fantastic.
  3. Any experience with the Tabor9k winches?
  4. KC Slimlites and Daylighters (150w) are about the best light out there IMO. I've had my beefs with PIAA bulbs failing or just not being bright enough for their ridiculous pricetag. I bought some Hella 500s off ebay a week ago for about $50 bucks, I'll let you know how they are, but I expect nothing special. Infact the GE landing lights in 4.5" or 5.75" are excellent value if you tend to replace lenses regularily anyways. I have the Q4509s in my bumper right now, which put out 160,000 CP each in a huge beam, costing about $7CAD each....... Finally, if you're willing to sacrifice brightness for durability and flexability,Lightforce beams are ajustable from spot/flood to pencil by turning the UNBREAKABLE lens left and right.... Insane expensive though. Howver if you get the 240mm ones, you'll never get stuck in the snow. Just aim them down and melt your woes away. I'd go with KC if I could afford em. Make sure to use a heavier, fused (8-10guage or so) wire from the battery to the relay, then 10-12 elsewhere. just to be safe. I used 14g for my aircraft lights which at 25feet is actually under-rated... From the battery, I run an 8guage power cable to a fuseblock which runs my amp and lights... Makes expanability that much easier. I also drilled through the firewall, where the throttle cable goes through.... Couldn't find an easier spot. I may try the grommet thing later on, and patch the hole....
  5. ARBUSA claims XD9000, M8000 and M6000 compatible mounting, but what else fits? I know atleast one of you runs something else..... I'm not partial to WARN, so anything is fair game.
  6. Your friend is probably correct that it is your struts making all the noise, but not in the way you think. When the stiffer springs are installed, they are basically stretching your strut which gives you the lift. Becuase of this, the strut travels a longer distance than normal over bumps... I havn't installed an AC yet, but I've been advised that this is generally a temporary issue, which resolves itself as the springs break-ion and begin to sag. At that time you can add spacers up front to level it out again.... A thread a few below this one shows how a guy used the spacers in a unique way which might be better for your CVs in the long run... Again, I don't have an AC lift so if I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
  7. Yeah, you can clear codes aswell as track economy and whatnot.
  8. Wow and 01 under warranty?! You must have bought the extended, which I passed up. Hows that treating you so far?
  9. How much amperage would you rate 14guage wire at?
  10. Installed a generic steel toggle switch next to my dimmer switch, and wired it to a relay which I managed to fit inside the passanger side fusebox. Power for the relay comes from the IGN 7.5A inside the vehicle and the lead from the battery is not even a foot. All works well, and I can't forget leaving the lights on since the relay is on the Ignitiion circuit. Now that I have this figured out, I might need to spend some money on some decent bush ligths... I'm leaning towards the 130w KC Slimlights... Any input? Currently have some Q4509 aircraft landing lights wired in... 160,000cp each at only 100w. I think the KCs would be about 4 times as bright and the longevity wouldn't even be compable.
  11. Under the carpet where? Is there storage under our carpet? I must investigate!
  12. Cheers! I was confused, but I see now what you were explaining. Thanks a bunch everyone.
  13. I should take a pic instead of explaining this but.... My lever has 4 positions; Off, Auto, Parking and Lights on (bulb with arrows pointing down, diagonally). Is the final position the one you explained, or is there one more, that I don't have. ALSO, is the fog light relay in the driver's box the same as the headlights, and tail lights?
  14. A crappy pic of my new bumper, but it's pissing rain out... I havn't trimmed the fender wells yet, and I'm going to turn the bullbar around so it lays back against the grill rather than out forwards... Looks goofy on such a stock Pathfinder, but I hope to have that lift and tires in not too long.
  15. I don't have that.... Nobody has a toggle below the CD player or on the left side next to the mirror adjustment (like on Tacomas)? I suppose I can use an aftermarket switch, I just dislike things that don't look like they belong. I bought some el-cheapo fogs from princess auto just to experiment with.
  16. My 02' came without foglamps, but the two factory connectors are hanging down where the lamps would be, and the relay box has a spot for the fog relay (i currently have the lamps wired through this). Now for my questions... 1) Did the pathfinders with fogs have a switch in the dash, or were the lights always on if the lowbeams were on? 2) If there is a switch, does the harness behind the dash have a connector that is waiting for a switch? I'm basically wondering if I can just use the plug and play factory wiring if I grab a relay and a switch for the dash. If this is the case, does nissan supply the switches on their own? or what I need... etc.
  17. My fogs are temporarily wired into my lowbeams. I drove from Calgary to Grande Prairie last night and the alternator had no issues and the engine started in the morning, so cheers guys! When it stops raining out, I'll probably rig them to a switch in the dash... which brings me to some more questions. I'll start a new thread.
  18. It's the right bumper and looks pretty good mounted on my 02'. It didn't come with the IPF fogs, so I grabbed some cheap 5" PowerFist lights from Princess Auto, which fit quite well. Already broke one lens, but they were only $29CAD, and they're yellow/blue, so who cares! I'm lazy and have only taken a picture of the bumper with my phone so far... I might post something later today if it stops raining out.
  19. I'm getting a P0447 code thrown at me daily. Would you all suggest I do the same as NismoSky?
  20. I installed some cheap princess auto fogs in my bumper today... My vehicles came WITHOUT fogs, so I'm wondering if the extra load is bad for the alternator, and if I plan to add more later on if a battery or alternator is needed... Tips? I'm not using the lights at the moment. I can hear the alternator change its sound when the lights are on. 2x 5" 55w H3 bulbs. I'm getting a steady 13.9-14.2volts from it as usual.
  21. On the topic of trouble codes, mine has been throwing a P0477 (Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Open) since about Xmas. I reset it once in a while, but I think I'm about ready to tackle the problem. I have heard that a bad gas cap or leaking suction line will cause this code. Any other advice? Fuel consumption is up, power seems to be down a hair (I could be imagining it). I'll change the fuel filter whenever I install my bumper.
  22. Pimpin, and on the inclinometer to boot. You can adjust the color to match your other guages now.
