looks pretty nice outside over there.

ya all that smoke is the carbon crap getting thrown out of the engine, did your tick go away or is it still there?
-
ya there might be play in the shocks, i know on the bottom mount i had to use a couple of washers.
-
with your drive flanges just remove the snap right, it'll allow the cv to then slide out, i removed the 2 strut bolts and the 6 bolts holding the cv to the axle and just tilted the spindle as far out as it would go and the cv slid right out, and back in. it took me about 30 minutes a side. easy if you know what your doing.
-
it took me 5 minutes to replace the valance, its not hard at all.
-
oh well when you first install the springs the struts will top out but its not that big of a deal, they just need to settle a bit.
-
haha i do the same thing, if the truck is running i roll down the window when i get out just to make sure i dont lock my keys in.
-

so i was reading over on titantalk.com and the titan guys say that running a bigger gauge wire to the back of the engine blocks clears their ticking. i have a little tick that isnt coming from the lifters. would the concept be the same for the r50? how well grounded is our engine block and all that. i just wanted to run this buy you guys to see what you think alex

thats one in a million. -
just make sure you extend your rear 02 sensors to be after the cats.
-
i wonder if the headers for the new pathys or xterras would fit the older r50s with the VQ. its pretty much the same engine, i wonder if the flange pattern is the same.
-
yeah it sucks.

man this thing has come a long way! Feb 2006 Jan 2007

pro comp ES9000 11.5" rear shocks. KYB front struts.
-
i bet other CV boots will work with the r50 ones.
-
ah.. my solution only costed 69 bucks a CV. Vatozones lifetime warrenty!! im glad i got it because i already grenaded a CV.
-
high angle CV boots? what would that do? its the actual joint that should be rebuilt for the different angles. if you got a different boot that would allow the angle more easily i would think that halfshaft would just slip out of the joint.
-
like 3 probably.
-
no i havent adjusted it but im going to make a bracket for it pretty soon here. ill take pics when im done with it.
-
finally got around to taking some pics.. tell me what you guys think.
