  1. Shipped it off lmid week last week. Things have been very hectic here and there was just no way I could get over the border in time to get to the postal outlets before they closed before then. The company will send me an email when they receive it. Even once they receive it its going to take them quite some time. According to their website, I'll let you all know when I hear from them. Once they confirm the product has arrived and I speak with them personally on the phone, I'll be transfering funds. After that, that will be pretty much it from my end.
  2. Look at Uhaul's website. They have a 4WD trailer available. I used it to move my rig when I sold the house. It was cheap. Like $59.00 bucks or something. I know it was cheaper then the Gas it would have cost me to drive the Pathy 3 and a half hours. You drive the whole rig up on it. http://www.uhaul.com/Reservations/EquipmentDetail.aspx?model=AT
  3. Hey precise, That question was asked over at Infamous as well since most of those guys are taller. Here's what I responded there. Ya, I took that into consideration when I was even collecting the data in the beginning if you remember. I was getting everyone's heights to work out the majority and set them for that height. Only 3 people were outside of the 5'9" to 6'1" range. And it was All evenly matched except for 1 additional in the 6'1" category. Since they were all so close, I didn't want to set it up for the tallest guys specifically though so I went with the average. 5'11" is the average height. Now out of that I had to consider everyone's height from the ass to the eye and not full body lengths so I basically halved it. Which is 35.5 inches. I slapped a phone book down on the seat to make up the difference for my eye level and sat straight when setting it up. That should be fairly close to bang on. Sorry goes out to the one guy out there sitting at 6'4" I don't think it will be that bad, but you may have to sit like your lounging or put a beveled washer ring behind the gauges in the pod to angle it further if its brutal. I did my best everyone, and I'm a perfectionist which is annoying to me most of my life.[/Quote] Hope that helps.
  4. I got it all sorted out now. I went out to the Pathfinder this weekend. During the week just didn't seem to work out. I test fit it and I was unhappy with the layout. The middle gauge was semi covered by the top gauge and the top was at an angle I that wasn't good. here's a picture of what it looked like in the Pathfinder without any changes. After quite a bit of messing around, chopping some plastic off here and there, moving it on the trim piece a little here and there, I think I got the top one positioned just right. The bottom gauges are 1 piece and they were set up just with the exception of making the top corner stick a tiny bit farther out to give a little more visual clearance for the top gauge. In the end it looks like this for positioning. I angled the top one slightly otherwise it would be pointing at the ceiling. I'm going to get this packaged back up and speak with the company this week. Just need a day when things aren't too hectic this week so I can head over the border and mail this out. If anyone has any concerns or input before it goes off, please feel free to state them. I'm all about constructive critisism.
  5. Damn it..... Now I got Jizz on my key board again.
  6. All I have to say is, If I had any doubts that life isn't fair before now, you've just re-afirmed without a shadow of a doubt, that it is indeed absolutely, and un-equiviocally, unfair.
  7. Fitment will be done either tomorrow or early next week. Going to try and get it sorted out tomorrow though if I can. I'll get pictures of course and work out the little bugs too. As for how they make it, this part is just to test fit angles and locations. I'm not exactly sure what process they use to make the mold but I know that whatever they do, the process allows them to make 1 off orders to anyone who wants one down the road. I'll be stoked once I get it fitted, measured, and sent off back to the company. THEN i'll be finished and be waiting like all you guys with no more responsibility. YAY. I sure hope things turn out awesome too. I'm excited!
  8. She's recovered fully now and tearing around at full speed ahead. She was a lot easier to manage when she was so out of it really. hahaha. She just started walking about a month and a half 2 months ago so she already thinks she's got it down and basically tries running everywhere. problem is she has absolutely no concept of self preservation and stairs, table corners, heavy objects on tables, etc, she bee lines straight for them. She's obsessed with danger already. Greeeeeat. So happy she back to herself though. That was one scary time for us. Thanks for asking. So here's a couple pics of what they've sent. Again, keep in mind, this is only for fitment and placement. You'll also note that the 3 pods are comprised of 2 pieces. I'm pretty sure that they originally were only going to put 2 pods on it with the tweeter, so they mocked it up with a singe piece with double pods. Later on, I called them up and informed them the 3 pods is what everyone wanted and I think they just popped another on there to get fitment stuff. At any rate, on with the show.
  9. Alright everyone. I picked up the trim piece on Monday. It is not much too look at at this point. Its literally just some pods screwed to the trim. I took some pictures but when I went to transfer them to the PC, the adapter I use to fit the Camera Card to the Computer via USB is acting up. The PC can't find it. So I'll be heading off to the local Dollar Store to pick another up, then you guys can take a peek. I haven't fit it to the Pathfinder yet either to test fit it. My rig has been sitting at Garage about 20 minutes from here. I'll be getting to all this shortly though. Pictures and remember, this is a very rough mock up, just to get fitment. They assure me the final product will be smooth and clean. I'm a little annoyed though. We'll absolutely be able to keep the tweeter for sure. The whole process of taking votes, and all the work it was to organize who was for what style, yadda yadda, was basically for nothing. We'll be able to have 3 gauges and the tweeter for sure I think. Hard to show without hte photo's. I'll get that adapter pronto. Just wanted to let everyone know I actually have something to look at now at least, so we're getting there.
  10. Its amazing how when men find an empty hole, they have the need to stick something into it. It's great you're posting up all sorts of referencing material on here. It would be handy to have 1 or 2 threads out there that go thru the whole process in detail to take the work load out for future members tackling this. Good work so far.
  11. Yep, I was going to post up here tomorrow night to let everyone know, I received word from the freight holdng company that the package has arrived and that I can go pick it up. That will be the test piece that has to be fitted and sent back with the final adjustments. I'll be in the states this weekend so I'll pick it up then and have pictures hopefully on Monday at the latest Tuesday. Again, this is just a mock up for the gauges to make sure the fitment is good because they don't have a Pathfinder to try it out in, but things should happen pretty quickly after that process gets finished and the piece gets sent back to them. No Cash has been sent to them yet. It's all still sitting in my Paypal account with the exception of a couple that had sent me checks, Paypal requires 6 business days for the transfer to occur and that has not yet lapsed. Regardless, Not a big deal since the company accepted to send us the mock up without payment so we're still doing fine. I know this is freaking slow guys, but remember that most of it was trying to commit everyone and get the cash sorted out. In essense its only been about 3 weeks since I received all the cash even though this project started way back. I've been slow on sending out a mass email. I've been meaning to get around to that. There just seems like theres always something that has to be done and I completely forget that I need to get one out. I'll make time after this weekend and get something out to everyone, or at least on here. I haven't even updated the other sites in ages either. At any rate. More to come soon I promise.
  12. Koveman gave me a good tip. Head to a wrecking yard and pull out the torsion bars adjustment bolt at the anchor. it will do the job for the rear bolt and its free from a wrecking yard.
  13. Thanks for all the well wishing everyone. She's home now and recovering well. My other 2 kids and I were ailing from other sickness and were not allowed in the same environment as my youngest due to her immune system being so weak so we had been staying at my Sisters for a week. It's good to be back at home and have everyone on the road to recovery. Ok on with the show. The bank has released the funds to me on Friday and the next minor delay has arrived. Paypal. To transfer money from my Bank account to my Paypal account its a 6 day transaction. I don't understand what the hell for, but this is what I've been told. Sorry guys, I'm trying to move this along but all these unforseens are driving me nuts. On a good note though, I've been talking with the company and they've agreed to just send us the mock up/proto type, so that should go out by Monday. So some progress, which is better then none. So there we are. when it arrives, I'll take a bunch of pictures, and install it to see how it fits with more pictures etc. Finally... somethings happening.
  14. Just to chime in here. Ther eare methods to going back to factory options as well if things are completely buggered up. This is the answer I got from Rob when I was dealing with my issues and it put my mind at ease to just try whatever the hell I felt like. So if everything goes to hell, simple enought to just reweld a whole new bracket on.
  15. Just to keep you guys up to speed, I've had a few things going on the past 6 days. My 1 year old was very ill and admitted to hospital for a few days. Poor girl had to suffer thru about 20 needles in 72 hours. Took them 7 attempts just to get an IV bag set up since her veins were so small due to severe dehydration. It was the most heart wrenching experience of my life watching my little girl scream out so badly due to all that pain. They really dug around in her trying to get a vein, it must have been sooo freaking painful. I had a real tough time not breaking down myself seeing her like that. She is slowly recovering from a serious virus and her white blood count was very very low so we've been in hospital for the last while. Things are progressing slowly but optimistacally. At any rate, this isn't the main reason the cash has not yet been sent to the company. The reason for the wait was that when I received Presice's check and deposited it in my account a couple days later, the bank put a hold on a percentage of the funds for 5 business days until things cleared. I wasn't able to transfer the whole amount to paypal until that time so it was a waiting game. I think everything is clear now but as I mentioned, I was a little preoccupied. I'll get things started hopefully the start of next week. Crappy delay... I know. I'm just as amped as you guys to get this finished. I'll let you all know more as soon as I know more. Cheers.
  16. Alright. Sooooooooooo. Thanks for all you money SUCKERS! I'm going to Vegas! Alright, now that thats out of my system. Precise1 - Your Cash arrived today! And, its Time! No more waiting for people. We're moving on to the proto type stage And I'll be sending off the final shipping address tomorrow. Monday I'll be sending the Money via Paypal and then it begins! Its been a long time coming all, I know. About time we get this realized. So in total we have 23 people paid up, and a total of 24 orders. We did it. Give yourselves a round of applause! I'll email the group this weekend when I have more time.
  17. Thanks everyone for offering. tmoore took care of it for me and will be shipped soon. Can't thank you enough. This forum has been such a great thing to be part of over the years. The Bike was worth $3400 USD in 2008. I picked it up for $1350 USD. I've wanted it since it came out, but couldnt justify the price tag at those prices. Now thats been a few years its a LITTLE more affordable. (not really) Oh man I miss have a Dirt Bike. I grew up on them when it was my Dad who was buying everything. I haven't has one since I was 15 and I miss my Kawasaki KX every year. One day when I win the lottery, I'll have one of everything.
  18. Just noticed that my sentence there got Fubared up at the end. Stupid Wireless keyboard. Sometimes signal gets lost and makes me talk like Mongo.
  19. This sounds like a serious solution. Sure would be great to have something out there that effectively deals with a known issue. If its too hash with impact forces, what about a small skinny style isolator behind the front washer to possibly soak up a little of the force? If that would even work.... I don't know.. Just throwing it out there although I'm sure you've already thought of everything acceptable since you have WAY more knowledge then this dude. I'd be interested myself since I think my machined cups are burly, and probably provide less front end movement then what was there from stock.
  20. Ya $55.00 is the final price. Includes shipping. HAHA I've got a 2008 Specialized Enduro SL Comp with 6" of travel and I normally just wear Knee/Shin pads and a Helmet, but I've been getting a bit more cocky and last time out, 2 weeks ago, I sustained some pretty painful rock bites. My shoulder, elbow, forearm Hip and thigh took a serious beating so I'm going to add a bit more protection to these aging bones. I apparently still need to be able to empty out the Poopie Diaper Garbage Pail, injuries or not. That light armor has everything I need. Even has a huge scale like armor down the entire spine and for $55.00 shipped, works for me. So come on someone..... Pretty Please?
  21. Hey everyone. I'm picking up some body armor from a guy on Pinkbike.com and when I went to make the purchase, it says the person will only accept a purchase from a registered American Paypal Account. He doesn't know why its set up like that, and he couldn't figure out how to change it to accept from out of country. If anyone knows how to do this, could you post up some instructions? OR If one of you is willing, The purchase is only for $55.00 USD. I could send you the cash if you'd be willing to make the purchase on your own Paypal account and just add my shipping address to your approved shipping addresses so the product would just ship to me. Annoying I know. but damn nice armor and a good buy for it. Hook a brother up someone. Here's a shot of the merchandise.
  22. Nothing has come as of yet B. How long ago was it sent?
  23. Well from what they've told me on the phone, what they did was fit the 3 pods on the trim piece, and left enough room at the bottom from where the tweeter was. You'd have to cut out the hole yourself but it should be the same shape as the factory style..... So they say. We'll see when we get the product.
  24. Welcome man. Glad to see another Semi Local member. Can't go wrong with a Pathy under $1000. And Hey Splish. I'm just outside of Niagara Falls in the Fort Erie Area. I must have missed your intro when you joined. We should chat sometime, I'm a Hiking Monster with the Gorge, Decew, Rockway, the Bruce, Balls falls, and many many Many other places as my regular stomping grounds. I'd like to pick your brain about your organization.
  25. Was away for the weekend. I'll get back to you tonight.
