  1. On my 82 FJ40 Straight 6, I replaced the stock intake and exhaust with Offenhauser, Holley Carb and had tons of fun eating the V-8 Crushers that were around town. I traded it in on a 1984 RX7 GSL-SE........ Ticketed and about an hour in the local holding area for 155mph in a 40. Had to wait for the bank to open, cash machine would not give me 8 bills for bail. 45 days later ticket was dismissed  The FJ40 has been around forever, there are tons of aftermarket goodies... Thier used to be a JY in Snohomish WA that specialized in Land Cruisers.
  2. My boys got a Puppy for Christmas from one of the local shelters, she is a mix Husky/not sure yet...(Wife pick her without checking with me) Ginger is going on about 14 weeks according to the vet... and everytime I walk in the kitchen she squats and pees, she so excited and confined to the kitchen... I spend about 30-45 min a day working on the basic's time for work, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Heal, Off and Kennel.... all with the good girl and the occasional cookie. Im not sure if its the Puppy or the mix but she is hot wired from morning to night.. The pics are in the camera at Grandpa house:(
  3. I have had the pleasure of the 2 door and the 4... With Kids 4door rules... Without Kid 2doors are alot of fun... Lots of miles and the price is High... If you want to add a 2 door to your collection , I would suggest shopping around, I saw one here in Spokane, wheels n deals 1 owner for $1200... They are out there just need to look around... If you would like I can see if I can find one here 8 hour drive, one way ticket is reasonable... When my wife found my 95 I had all but given up on finding a decent one locally... the Day after I bought it I saw several 4-sale and even the 91 I bought from my manager....
  4. Is anyone else feeling a need for some pictures??? We have been hearing about the Hell and Frustrations... now it back and running, we need some PIC'S
  5. FYI: As your pads wear, the pistons stay extended further to make up for the thinner brake pads.... IE more fluid is in the piston that compresses the pads on to the rotor to make you stop.. hence the dropping fluid.
  6. Revco and WheelmanLS1 both have Thorley's on an Auto... We had a thread discussing just that... fact there are several... My passenger side thorley has been test fitted with the drop down and cross over.. Im not seeing any issues....

    Crankshaft Pulley

I just got back from looking at a 2000 R50 the crank pully appeared to be solid just like my 91 and 95... Granted I could not take it out and look at real close.. I pulled the one from my 91 out of the back, hb and all its solid... Looked in and around on the 95 and it appears to be the same as the 91...
  8. Hehe.... I have been looking at the TrailMaster front diff lowering bracket for the same thing on the WD21.....
  9. Mr.P.. I have been considering a run over there to FlyFish for some winter run SteelHead.... Not sure on the scheduling yet but will let you know mid to late Feb

    Crankshaft Pulley

Do we have a member close by??? I think a beer and someone with a little more Pathy Exp would be "Priceless on Savings" Cause Im not picturing what your saying??? Granted Ive only been under 2 R50 hoods and both times it was for tightening a belt. That or its techno babble so they can get some $$$ for nothing.

    Crankshaft Pulley

I smell a rat somewhere...... Squeals are typically caused by a belt wearing and requiring tightening/replacing or bearings on thier last leg. Crank Pully(on the bottom) has belts that go around it... does it have a high gloss finish from wear from the belts? Is it rubbing on the lower timing belt cover? Can you get in there and see if the HB is chaffing on the timingcover? Thats annoying as hell... Its also the easiest one to get too(on top)
  13. Keep shopping... There are better buys out there with good up keep
  14. I got about 10 miles on my when the timing belt slipped... I did put a Steering Stabalizer on my To-Do list... I have about 1" of down travel on my UCA's before they hit the bump stops and the roads here in Spokane Suck they should change the name to pot hole city :furious: My Test drive was with a full tank of gas and completly empty... it was actually pretty smooth... There are several that have many miles on there calmini's and im sure they will chime in
  15. Former owner of a 82 FJ40... If I were still in the Seattle area Id be happy to take a look... If you find one in the Spokane area let me know
  16. Its Pathy thing, kinda like when the girl friend meets the wife Just drive her every other day and she will purrrrrr like a kitten..... I know that it worked for my 88, when I parked her after getting the 95 and did not drive the 88 for like 3 months... I thought everything in it went booooommmm. After about 300 miles she ran like a champ again and still is.... Sorry had to throw that in... Edit... How much are your selling your pathy for?
  17. OMG that has to be the most practical Mod for its use... even if we never did anything that extreme  In the Greater Spokane area we dont have any rocks like that... but I have saved the picture for future reference I want that rear hitch....
  18. Cam's are on my list as well... so ill be keeping an eye on this... I talked with JWT back in August and they were talking with the Cam and ECU upgrade it could only run on 91 octane gas.... $3+ a gallon took that to the bottom of the list...
  19. Not with Slick and Pezzy hanging around So you got any Pics? Looks like Im going to be pulling mine out over this week(pass exh mani for DSM), any suggestions?

  23. I believe that one of my posts included rotating the Stock (W/Shield) starter, so the shield is in the 12:00 Position, and it slides forward relatively easily :X hehe
