  1. Except that they cut corners every place they could making it nowhere near as good as WD21s. They didn't even give them the spark plug tools! sssh
  2. there is some retarded independent thingamajigy holding up the front wheels... whattup with that yo?
  3. I will have to work for sure but I have a feeling that I am gonna be celibate for next little while. Oh and I remembered the first 4 characters of this but then i forgot the rest and went mental on my keyboard.
  4. So the parental unit left for Europe for a month. That means I get to house sit and have access to the garage and her ride. Lot's of work ahead of me, I am starting the season little late but high priority work on Nissie's truck kinda pushed me back a bit. No worries, I'll make up for it in the next few weeks. So I backed Whitey into the garage, waved goodbye to her for tonight and I am gonna do some drinking while I think of the tasks ahead. Here's what needs to be done and will be in the next few weeks: - fix both lower control arm bushings/pivots - fix both upper control arm bushings/pivots - replace the passenger side wheel hub as the manual hub studs snapped inside - take out the rear diff and get it welded up - fabricate a CO2 tank holding bracket for the inside - do up some wiring for extra 12v plug, new lights, accessories and inverter so they don't flap around - remove the seats, take out the carpet and fix any holes and rust spots underneath... also paint the floors with rockerguard or rhinoliner - got new CRX Recaros from a buddy... the current CRX seats broke off the mounts. - trim the fenders and reinstall fender flares properly so they don't rip off on trails from tires rubbing - fix some rust spots on the rockers and paint it nicely - install the ARB compressor - install the transmission temperature and oil pressure gauges i bought a while ago - install the electric cooling fan i got a while back from the junkyard - reinstall the black panther skid plates with the sexy rockwashers that Marcel sent... the man kicks ass! - purchase new tires for the front as the current ones are worn down on the insides from my camber being like / \ for last 6 months - fab up new mount for my laptop (GPS setup) cause the old one cracked when I sat on it after I took it off... this time i won't make it out of plexiglass. - replace my winch as the current one is TOAST... I have to be very nice to the service and returns counter people at Princess Auto. here's what I'd like to do at the same time: - make a custom steering stabilizer - do up a custom 1.5" body lift on the truck (i have UHMWPSFDENNCK!#412ISFS34 cutting board material for that) - do up custom front and rear bumpers - cut off my sliders... add gussets to them and reweld them (the pinch seam is taking a beating!) - install my stereo properly.. i have two Alpine amps and a sweet set of 8" OZ Audio subs waiting to go in. It will require purchasing new speakers for the doors and making a custom rear speaker and sub enclosure that's actually trail worthy. So tomorrow the rear diff and front suspension is getting torn out. Stay tuned. EDIT: Tire wear due to CRAPPY NISSAN IFS... insides are pretty much bald.
  5. 50 mph speed limits on city streets? Sounds like you were speeding....
  6. I am not a fan of messing with stock lighting... At least it's not like a Dodge symbol that every goddamn hick loves to have blocking his taillights.
  7. Yea the front diff, transmission, and t-case all join up and exit there. It's the little hard line that goes up and then makes a u-turn down and just ends. the rear diff breather comes out in the frame crossmember and it's the only one i'd worry about lengthening actually.
  8. I agree with many of the already mentioned items, but the one thing that really amazes me is the diffs+tranny+tcase breathers that come up way up high to where the windshield wiper motor is. Also number 6 plug is easy if you use the Nissan supplied tool. I am also amazed that we got rear disc brakes.
  9. It depends on which Pathy version it is. As per profile it's a 92, same as mine... on some SE models there was a semi-automatic AC option which had all electronic pushbutton HVAC controls. I have that one, if the fuse is fried your settings are stuck in the position you left them in. If it's a cable actuated system with sliding controls, then it may just be a loose connection on the slider.
  10. Did you check the fuses? Same thing happened to me when i accidentaly shorted out the cigarette lighter outlet, and the fuse blew out. It's the same fuse that runs the HVAC controls so it was stuck on whatever I had it last on.
  11. You need to hit trails with lots of rocks and steep descents/ascents. Nissan's TX10s 2:1 stock ratio is garbage on that.
  12. Nice... Good to see an alternative to Calmini. Now if somebody released a cheap D300 doubler I'd be in heaven.
  13. Pilot just like the MDX is based on the previous generation of the Odyssey minivan. Quite an outstanding product if you ask me, just like pretty much every other thing that Honda makes. Quite honestly I have been dissapointed by the quality of Nissan products as of late. I wouldn't trust the new Pathy as much as I'd trust the Pilot over long run.
  14. Cool 11 MB factory Pinzgauer video with a nice 1970s porno music in the background
  15. They're actually half solid portal axles. There are no CVs or anything.. The suspension pivots on the driveshaft itself with the ring gears going around the pinions. I think only a Tatra has a similar design.
  16. I love Pinzgauers.. -bounce- The same company designed and built the Mercedes G-wagens.
  17. Put the ARB in the front and weld up the rear.
  18. I'd grab it provided the gear ratios are the same. As you pointed out they're the smaller diffs than what we have up here in the north. I already have two buddies with grenaded R200 diffs here so another R180 backup may be a good call.
  19. 9K winch checking in here. Bare minimum for what we do here. We already snap winch lines and destroy the motors.
  20. LFMAO... Hey, sometimes I hit sometimes I miss.. But i always aim to please. sly
  21. Yea... not searching the board first and then NOT listening to people really got to you... didn't it?
  22. Why don't you just attach a couple of sticks of dynamite to the CVs and be done with them that way.
  23. Strengthen the frame where the rear suspension link crossmembers are, and then POR15 the snow out of the whole thing.
  24. I am glad that you're thinking about it the right way now. Sorry to hear about the Pathy though.
