  1. Depends on how deep in the mud your stuck...full tire under mud is like 4x IIRC
  2. In theory the overall weight doesnt matter...its a matter of the location of the weight...dont believe me? Go stand on the center of a mrrry goround and then on the outside...u can at that point experience that thing called inertia
  3. Yea some guy in norcal did it..they body is prob 500-800 lbs...disconnect vacuum lines/harnesses, brake lines from mc....steering shaft...ac and heater core lines....throttle cables and u should be close to good...
  4. Ill be completely honest....every one ive.done has been a PITA....load up on PB and maybe some heat...ive never lived in.the salt belt either
  5. With a MT a jack or 2 and or a cherry picker will do it...the at was much heavier so i bought a jack at hF for $200 and was well worth it Ive done the same with helping a guy in a parking lot in college with a strap thru the floor and a guy on each side pulling...it was interesting But this is by far the way to go...wish i woulda spent this $ years ago
  6. Could always cough up the $ and get a diamond axle from ruggedrocks...looks like an effing badass setup with 60 knuckles
  7. Basically any vg block will work...i had an altima in mine for a short time....change over oil pan, dipstick tube, mtg brkts and intake and u should be good to go...some folks have had issues with the crank snout and water pump...i ran a 2wd hardbody water pump instead of changing out the timing cover and it had to.have the longer neck on it which the 2wd hb had
  8. Yes gulches...also it does have a slow full rate...i think like 6 ft/min at no load but when using a winch u typically arent in a big hurry...i think the warn pulls at like 12 or 15
  9. Ive got the older style badlands 12k winch and its worked great...only issue i had was i didnt unspool it and check the bolt holding it to the spool so first time i used it i sheared the bolt off...i drilled and tapped it over and used a larger bolt...luckly that day my buddies 10k warn and 2 other jeeps were able to pull me up Where i was stuck: Where it sheared the bolt: Perspective of what it pulled the rear wheels over...keep in mind im locked in the rear and it was just slick as snot...got the front up but couldnt get the rears over I havent had any more problems out of it since i fixed it
  10. I would personally never do that with brand new tires but have been known to kill worn out tires
  11. According to the fsm yes step 1 is dropping the exhaust crossover tube
  12. All a matter of backspacing and bumpstops...ive rubbed my frames/body front and rear
  13. Not at home so i cant record it but a pathy was getting recovered in the snow/ice hole...anyone on here?
  14. My truck was the 12xx one built...so 26.5 yrs old....i have had it for about 14 years it had 275 k miles when i dropped a piece of debris thru a spark plug hole and cranked it up...it started knocking so i replaced it with 2 bad engines i should also mention that i broke a timing belt and ate 3 valves at 210k or something like that and finally swapped over the 95 engine that has something like 160k on it...would still have the original if i didnt freak out and pull it and replace it...keep the tb changed and maintenance up and it will run damn near forever
  15. Yep...been down that road...also had one loose a spring about 1000 miles into its life so it prob got.knocked off before or during installation...that sucked...I have a FMS in my near future...the ole ladies truck is marking its territory all over town
  16. I know for the 95 it is in the trans....don't know if that vss communicates to the ecu or not....couldn't hurt to try you will find out after 5 mins when it gets out of the closed loop goes to the open loop
  17. My 87 did not...or at least I wasn't aware of how to get the signal to the cluster/ecu
  18. Just for others reference...the vents will all be the same...and ac controls...you will need the under structure...pull the clusters of both... Put them side by side...they're not that different... you can probably make the face plates and electronics mount in the old 95 cluster in the 93...I had the 87 stuff mounted in a 95 until I realized I had to.have the electrical speedofor the ecu
