if removing door panels and crud isn't your fancy, cut some aluminum sheetmetal replacements, and that way you could also convert to crank windows to reduce MORE weight

i just got a set of bosch icon's for my malibu, and they work like a DREAM! only 10 bucks each too, wiper assembly and all

if you haven't already, go get some rainex wiper fluid, i can drive in a full on pour now w/o having to use wipers, cause it beads up and rolls off, although the wipers make it EASIER to see, if they fail im aight Id imagine that this job would be rather difficult, considering if you find another vehicle's motor, and it fits, you still have an issue due to how much travel that motor uses, and then the power being supplied to it would still be the same as the previous

I was thinking...you could probably reduce the weight by removing cosmetics, such as the door panels, and junk....and if you cand find a fiberglass or carbonfiber hood, that could reduce some weight But like said, on yours, there really isn't too much you can remove, doors could, but thjey are pretty crucial to the structure.... sorry

Id think some electronic cleaner stuff, that air can that you use to spray dust off your keyboard/screen and such would work for you, but idk if it would be strong enough :\

i just took mine out to cean it the other day, and i believe mine were the socket/phillips screw thing, and they too were caked in BAD smelling gunk.... Id suggest, if you haven't already just drop an extended ratchet in there with some diff socket sizes, and if that doesn't work, and you can't get the screwdriver to sit in there, either rip it off, use something to cut the plastic that houses the screws, or just leave it Maybe 88 was talking about a diff console year, but in my 91 xe 4dr im pretty certain they are not round, but ill def go check edit-- nope, all of mine are the same type of bolt, just one pair is a diff length I checked the sizes, and this is the only combo i could use to get @ the bolts- 1/4" ratchet 10" extension 10mm 12 point socket I had about 1.5" of extra with the 10" extension, and anything bigger than a 1/4 socket/ratchet/extension wouldn't fit into the cavity Goodluck! ps- id imagine that you could use some pb blaster, orange cleaner, or something like that and spray it in there then use an awl to pick it away from the bolt

today i saw TWO uhaul trucks full of house moving crap pulling a uhaul hauler with a small sedan on each That would be your best bet if you have the cash, and don't want to risk your pathy Plus, again, even if the pathy CAN haul it, those reps will get on the website and when it says you shouldn't tow with it, then they will automatically not rent it to you. I also think i read something about unless you have a brake controller, they won't rent it until you do :\

Your pathfinder won't haul another vehicle. Knowing the ratings makes me recommend NO. DO NOT ATTEMPT. The tow rating from kbb is 2000 lbs, and since your hitch isn't rated to 5000, and your car is getting close to that, plus the trailer, the stress of accelerating (and primarily decelerating) will put more stress to the point of danger. If uhaul says it can't be done, then they will NOT rent one to you. Your best bet would be either 1- hire someone, 2-get a buddy, 3- rent a truck or something that you COULD use the uhaul with, or rent a uhaul truck that will tow the uhaul trailer to haul the car 4- fly/taxi there, drive it back 5- join a local 4x4 club, they usually have tow rigs and they would do it for much cheaper than a company. #5 would be my personal recommendation, as around here atleast, there is a giant 4x4 association that many people won't mind bringing a trailer with them on a trip or something and on the way back pick something up, and for gas money and food they will most certainly do it...... But again, DO NOT attempt to tow a vehicle trailer/vehicle with your pathy, remember, we have a 3l v6...i have a larger engine in my malibu O_o Just my .02c

Yeah, its an hour drive to get it, and ima see if i can get it below his listed price...the xtra pictures he sent showed its not in the best of shape.... And from some other's rigs ive seen and such, i think i can have the local shop fab it up to be a winch/stinger for under 150 bucks (reinforcing it too)

So theres a guy selling 3" lift springs for an XJ @ my local offroad forum, and i figured that since the stock ones won't supply any lift for ours, cause they are nearly the same, will 3" xj springs yeild 3" for me? Thanks, just had this quick q as ima have to make an offer soon

How much modification? I don't have the tools to fab it up, but there are alot of places around here that will fab it up @ a discounted price for me and for the cost of having them modify that one, they could probably just weld in something custom
