  1. Snicker see those on Craigs list all the time "Pathfinder, runs great, no reverse!" The prices they want for some of them is outrageous too! I have a sick feeling that this is gonna happen to my 88 soon...
  2. Fraid not, sorry. http://www.frappr.com/npora Although I want to go to moab sometime...
  3. This was inevitable: Don't blame me I'm just doin' what had to be done.
  4. Some of this stuff you might be able to pick up at a J/Y, forget about undamaged interior pieces though, that's rarer than the factory light bar My suggestion for the rip in the armpad: 1. get it re-apolestered that's expensive, or 2. the cheap way get some color match duct tape, cover rip, problem solved! There ain't no problem enough duct tape can't solve.
  5. Welcome! I'v been wanting one of them there sentra spec v's. Pics of both the pathy and the sentra pleas!
  6. Check to see if your power shift button is depresed, it's the button on the shifter. If it is depressed the orange "Power" light should be on, located on the dash to the left of the steering wheel next to the AT Temp warning light. If that's not the case, then do you have a lead foot? Pressing the gas peddle all the way or most of the way down rapidly will cause Power shifting to activate whether or not the button is pressed on the shifter. If your button isn't depressed and you don't floor it, I suppose that the gas peddle sensor could be stuck or broken.
  7. Heehee anyone else see this? "Bragging Rights est. HP 265 hp est. wt. 3400 lbs" HAHAHA! A pathy with 265 hp!? What's he got a supercharger? Oh no I know he's got one of those tornado air spinner doohickies.
  8. :o Well I'll be dipped that IS your pathy wheelman! You should sue the guy for illegal use of copyrighted material! :contract:
  9. Hmm just recieved a follow up reply from BDS: "Hello, You had recently inquired about BDS suspension; I just wanted to make sure that you had been taken care of. If you are in need of further assistance, please let me know. Thank you, Chrissy BDS" Hmmm, should I let them know that I'm too cheap to make a long distance phone call for info on a lift? sssh
  10. Wait was ABS even a option in 89? And NO 89 pathfinder had power seats! I think this guy has worth and money poured in confused. Oof pathy's do not look good in yellow.
  11. If you want really cheap I'd go just flat black, with a white racing stripe! :cool2: (Racing stripes add 5 hp you know!) Or you could do what my friends did: they all chipped in a purchased a real beater car for another friends b-day. Then they took some pink spaypraint and wrote things like flower power and gay pride and an upside down triangle. I like the camo idea as well, woodland or white and black zebra style. There's also a company that sells vinal camo wraps...
  12. I know it sounds obvious but have you tried running ECU codes?
  13. On some models (such as mine) they are behind the head unit, kinda stuck back in there but noticable if you look. It will say clarion on them, and it is bronzish in color.
  14. I thought something was wrong when I popped the hood only to find a man demanding beer and a fried cheese sandwich, but now that I know that I'm not the only one my fears have been relieved!
  15. Can't help you with the noise other than to just say that my pathy makes a lotta suspension noises just driving around. However getting the front to sit level with the back requires no money, just a little bit of time and some wrench work. Just adjust the torsion bars to the point where everything is even (when I got my upper ball joints replaced the shop adjusted mine free of charge). Here are instrustions on how to adjust your torsion bars: http://www.geocities.com/pathfinderoffroad/techtbarlift.html
  16. Welcome to the forums! I'm in Santa Cruz (the SC in my name). Hope we can answer all and any questions you might have.
  17. LMFAO! Yah I did notice how absurd the 4x4 and tint shop sounded... Bubbas beer and shotgun shack, oh that's going in my sig for sure!

    LSD

This sounds like an awesome idea! And I'm sure you could do the LSD repack that has been described for the rear. And when you're in 2wd nothing should be affected since there's no power going in. I'm in! (Don't know when I'll be able to do it though, I mean I haven't made my gap gaurds that I was supposed to make in mid december). Finally a solution for the crappy nissan IFS? The locker they were refering to is the ARB air locker I think, or just a lincoln lock.
  19. OK just recieved a reply from BDS: Thank you for the inquiry. Please contact: Dave Wong Window Tinting & 4WD 14361 Tuolumne Rd Sonora, CA 95370 209-588-1880 Let them know that BDS sent you. Thank you, Chrissy No answers to the will it work with after market UCA's, or can the torsion bars be purchased seperatly question. And I'm too cheap to spring for a long distance phone call.
  20. Seems like they are just selling a rear lift, torsion bars, longer shocks, and instructions to crank the t bars. Wonder if this works with lift Upper control arms? I'll send them an email and get the skinny on this.
  21. My 88 is unhappy going above 75 on the freeway! You desert runners are insane! Glad to hear everyone is OK!

I think K9 was refering to the trimming 88 has done to the fenders
  23. 3 quarts low and the light only came on going around a corner?! Yet another reason for an actual oil pressure gauge (reminds self to install one pronto, right after trans cooler). Did the car burn oil before this? If not going from burning no oil to burning three quarts doesn't make sense, or it means that something is seriously wrong. Check under the car for places where this oil could be pooling up, maybe near the exhaust.
  24. Rear discs will help a lot too. Go to local JY's and see what you can find. Don't forget if you do that swap you will need the MC from the donor vehicle too. Also remember you are trying to stop 4000+ pounds worth of vehicle, it's never exactly going to stop on a dime. Also here's a little article on brake performance, looks like you'v already done what they have though... http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/april05/pathfinder/

Here's some info for the JGC coil part of the lift: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=18 Yes new shocks are a good idea, there is a chance that you could over extend the stock size shocks with a lift. Rancho makes proper sized shocks for lifted pathies: Rancho RS5000 shocks would be part number RS5116. Or if you prefer to have adjustable shocks (and spend a lot more money) there are the Rancho RS9000 part number RS9116. Here is the RS5116 shocks from Summit Racing: http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?...t=egnsearch.asp Have fun lifting your pathy! -bounce- And pictures! We demand pictures of your pathfinder!
