  1. Yep, though the modified CLs that they sell are reworked stock CLs, they are still "illegal" for use on the road... However since they make use of the stock bar and just cut and replace the 2 ball joints on it with bolt and bearing it would take a trained mechanic to know just what is not stock on it. So, unless you get into a completely weird law suit situation after an accident then there will be no harm no foul... Even state inspections will usually not raise an issue with the modified CLs.
  2. Is your's an US model or Mexico model? I know in the US models the fogs were a dealer option and had almost completely seperate wiring. One thing you can try, if the lights have a connector on them for the wiring, is to pull open the connector and fill it full of dilectric grease.
  3. x2 on Richards, at least he is a professional welder.
  4. If you can get a full donor vehicle it will be easier. Basically the bitch of it is that some of the accesories are swapped around so you need to run different AC, power steering lines, etc.
  5. Yeah, that number is a percentage, ie the side wall is 75 (%) the size of the tread width.
  6. Might try some snake oil addative and see if you can limp it home (or to whatever shop you would use to work on it).
  7. Yeah, I got my statement wrong, the T-case will bolt up to the tranny fitted on the VH.This is from an ongoing swap thread on the NOAS forum:
  8. ALWAYS buy new when you are talking mechanical water pumps, neveer buy a reman.
  9. Hey, he hacked his wires then comes here crying about it. Maybe if he had used an adapter this wouldn't have happened.
  10. Disregard the manual/automatic BS, our autos are cable actuated and have more than enough slack for 2"--3" of bodylift so it doesn't matter.
  11. 3.3 can be, but involves a good bit of work. Not sure about the 4.0, but the 4.5 V8 will bolt up to the t-case in our WDs, but the radiator will need some relocation.
  12. Heh, you made your bed, have fun.
  13. A 4.3 is a 350 with 2 cylinders chopped off.
  14. I don't agree, but to each their own. I have just one of these, but would love my entire dash to be only these: http://www.jegs.com/p/Cyberdyne/749235/10002/-1
  15. So, did you cut and splice wires to install your new stereo?
  16. I'm sure you "can" make it work, but I think most people just swap in aftermarket gauges when they swap to a Chebby.
  17. Have not had a chance to look yet, will let you know.

    Sheet metal?

Yeah, once you install the new don't just leave it bare metal, spray some primer, paint and undercoating on the bottom, and prime and paint the top. Be sure to cut ALL the rust out or it will come back via what ever is left.
  19. Yep, broke that compression rod. That'll be about $85 in parts to replace. On the good news side, that "should" fix your steering issue also.
  20. The starter might be missaligned and not engaging the flywheel.

    Sheet metal?

Why wouldn't it be? I had to almost completely re-sheet my 88's floor.
  22. Almost sounds like the rear is locked. Ever hear a whirring/ratchet sound when turning normally (at speed)?
  23. LOL, "acid" rain doesn't cause that. A good hail storm could though.
