Ok, so maybe it is due to the all-mode and people with all-mode getting confused? Does the 2001-2004 path have the H233B and TX-10a?? ///let me clarify the SE version without all mode but the old-school pull lever///

Does anyone know why Warn does not advertise hubs for the newr R50's? Am I to understand that the newer R50's have a different T-Case?? I caught a piece of a thread stating that they have wet clutches, would this mean it can't have open front hubs? ....if this is true than how in the H can you lift a new R50 without damaging the CV's??? HELP!

which pathy to get? 01 or an 02
02silverpathy replied to 505pathy's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
There was a bunch of little glitches with things like the Cam position sensors...these are right in the front of the cams on the outside (easy swap)...off and on the SES light plagued the 1 st year VQ in a pathy...after all let us not forget that that is the the Mad Max's engine! I too am shopping for a VQ R50...I would shoot at the 02 all day long. My question is, what then is the change interval for a chain??? And perhaps does the VQ R50 get a different rear end than the previous R50? These questions are muchmore relavent IMHO in deciding what's up and down. I am trying to skip the allmode AWD myself because of the issue with installing Warn Hubs and confusing the 4WD electronics...I likes the lever! Otherwise I would head for the QX4 with the VQ...wow what a stunna! -
Dude, You can find the tool for like $40 and buy a bearing repacker for $30 and super premium grease for like $10...the warns are up to $130....that's $210 for all of the goodies!!! Lord yes he is trying to kill you! You can swap the hubs with the truck on the ground and wheels on!!! Project Pathfinder these guys do a good write up on it, not sure if i gave the right link but you'll figure it out! Chris

I know what blue you are talking about and it is very sweet! I will definately be going to the auction with my dealer to buy since I don't want a blue that is too funky!!

So the rig is gone...I got $4000 for it at auction and I am indeed shopping for the VQ R50...I hope by then end of Jan to by rocking one! Give me some input...The wheel in the avatar for me will be on the new pathy....what color would you get? My wifes Bmw is Fern Green Metallic...this is a super dark green (black at night), so I am looking at other colors ie blue (several to choose) chrome silver, burgundy (me likey), brown (mocha)....give me a shout! Chris

Tonight my path will be sold at auction...a moment of silence for reflection and prayer for a smooth exit from my vehicular family.....on to the 2003-2003! 1st of the year? I hope so a buddy of mine built his first trailer and plans to start producing them....how cool. I hope to be one of the first to buy one from him!

Doesn't ARB make a Sahara Bar? Or are they junk? Guys beware of that Km whatever bumper I think after reading that the mounting style of the bumper is more dangerous than anything...of course around here we make most of our stuff work the way we want it anyhow

Since I will be getting a new path..oe everything..I am going to try something different this time. I want a true dual exhaust. I am using the VQ3.5 for my excuse to try it. I am going to use 2 of the flowmaster Hushpower II mufflers, a Magnaflow X pipe and cut the OE pipe off as close to the manifolds as possible. The X pipe will go just in front of where the OE muffler was and then the 2 mufflers just after or just before their exit of the vehicle under the rear bumper. Those Hushpower Mufflers seem to be as close to straight through as possible and they are steel inside....likewise the X will help scavange to a degree.Hush-?-Power Hopefully not too loud!

sheeeit that is awesome...they are both on that side!! I have to be honest they looked as easy as you describe, but I didn't want to faulk myself anymore than i have already!! Thanks a mil! So should I buy all the new rubber rings/gaskets for the 2 ? (2 o rings and one basket looking rubber spacer for each )
-
Anybody ??
-
I have decided to change out the 2 bad injectors in my path to help attain her full street value...I have read the FSM and it all looks easy but if anyone out there has replaced them--or--replaced the O rings in there let me know as you will actually be helping me earn a difference of about $1500 more (private retail vs. wholesale) Thanks in advance.... Chris

The Iridiums will increase MPG? Hmmm, didn't know that one...I would say Hubs followed by E-Fan....it will keep you off the gas more often. -

a moment of silence for the 98 Silverpathy, as it was to have these rims. Now a newer R50 will see them!! muh ha ha ha ha!

Got the 98Silverpathy's rims from the powdercoaters...super hot color. I am aiming at an '02 SE in a color that is burnt black cherry or something like that--dark maroon-- and I wanted to stick these on I think! Although the OEM 6 spoke in that bright silver is hot too!!

:o :o :o Well, this is no publicity stunt but I drove an 04 Fronty Crew Cab today and I absolutley hated it. Not only is my Path seconds faster, but the room in the back sucked bad. I have a 5 yr old daughter that wont fit back there at all (of course er feet and legs are too short to wrap the set like an adult). Next I peeped at the new body frontiers (Crewcabs) They are hardly any better. So I got the salesman all excited and looked at Titans....Schaweet!!! Then I looked at the tag on those and realized that for the price of it and what not that it was just a lot of truck. I am in a dilemma and I am not sure what I am going to do. I looked at the prices of the 02/03 Paths and liked what I saw...so I searched durability issuse on the 3.5...coil packs and lighting is all I found...hmmm maybe I need to change the title of this thread? I really wanted a truck bed to haul stuff but a small trailer can do that...damn now what do I do??
-
Miss my rig already...check the strut bar end links...mine did it too...try to swerve left to right and see if it is constant with the sway of the truck.
-
Selling mine 1 yr old install all parts including front 3/4" spacers new bearings, just no rear shocks so you can get your own Rancho extendeds---$400 ....end commercial here--Thanks

Don't shy away from the cams....my truck had underlying issues that got magnafied by the cams...not started by them...I am still thinking that they are more than JWT states (10-15 HP) They added a lot of power to this motor she just had already been abused before I started modding! The fronty? I am hoping for an 01-03 Crew Cab with about 50-60K. Anyone hear of any probs with the 98-00 fronty?
