  1. As you guys know, my R50 has given me the toughest cam install any one has ever heard of. I would describe it as keeping a loved one on life support (no offense to anyone who has to deal with this situation). My R50 has several bad injectors, over 100K miles, a ghostly EGR problem, and now the autotragic is clunking around (I think she is having problems with her lock up solenoid or sensor or both). In the midst of these issues I have spent thousands--no really thousands--chasing a dream. The dream was to have a strong VG33 R50 that would in less than one year be ready to stomp down some nasty dirty roads..all the while making me look good for its valor. Instead it is a wounded animal that I am letting go of. Over the last 2 days I have spent in excess of 16 HRS returning her to stock OEM condition (save the cams). I would like to say thank you to all of you guys as you are the most excellent and decent bunch of people that I have never met. In my beliefs I say God bless you all! I will be posting many quality parts here on the forum at what I percieve, at least, to be good $$$ prices. I am going to buy a crew cab fronty and most likely keep it close to OEM. I am not sure wether to get the SC model or not, but I am selling these items in hopes of getting a mild lift for it and putting on the freshly powder coated NISMO's with my REVO's. Again I will be around for a while until I get a Fronty and have a new suspension to learn...I will be in touch. Since many of you visit multiple forums (God bless you twice!), I have joined Clubfrontier.org as "Crewcab".
  2. Fueler, I have one of these and would gladly sell it to you cheaper than that auction ended. I am selling it for $75 plus where ever you live shipping. It fit my 98 path but since the bumper is more short and stout than the QX or the newer R50, this bar stuck pretty good. It does look tough.
  3. The D shackles ...you know all to well that I would smash right into it...my happy little arse going around to unload my daughter at the day care...bang---days over!!
  4. :o Am i the only one drueling over that hideous bumper? :o This thing looks super TJM to me. I am in love....or is it lust? XPLORx4, please input your thoughts on your current bumper in comparison with this one...I am falling in love too fast and need a straight shooter or 2,590 (the current number of members) to aide me in staying away from buying this!!
  5. O-k my set up is from the bend in the driver side of the OEM exhaust and about the same length along the truck on the pass side...it goes to 2.25" pipe into a dual in single 3" out flowmaster 50 series. If I had to do it again I would cut off the second set of cats just after the O2 sensors and go from there just to give it that much more breathing room...I would also like in the future to add and "X" pipe somwhere and perhaps dual out put exhaust.
  6. Vengeful on rocks...my favorite R50 pics...good choice SC88 ...I also dig one that XPLORx4 sent me of his JDM lights...he was also on rocks with like a forest background behind him!!
  7. Hey Venge, I have done tons of homework on these parts with all my other troubles. That IACV, gets gummmed up all the time in Nissans, particularly with these intake manny's...something to do with the location of PCV and how they flow by each other. Unbolt from the back and try to clean it. I have yet to do mine, but the dude working on my truck says that is the same reason that my Idle flexes up and down quickly when it first starts. Your knock sounds like the connector has had enough...it needs cleaned out of any debris, we all know that the knock goes dead at a young age in these rigs, however mine made quite a difference with cams. This part actually helps the truck advance its own timing. I would bet that you got some dirt in the connector making it arc funny. That 1440...positive pressure...I would definately check that large plastic one way valve that is just behind the bumper...if those hoses are dried up it may allow the system to breath back wards...of course any of those pesky hoses under neath could be dry due to location and that fact that you actually drive your rig offroad!! O2 sensors...well break open the wallet...I think that 88 had a method for cleaning them that my be useful. good luck my man!
  8. replaced my 98 with the newr parts valve and canister for about $120...had no pellets in my lines, piece of cake to do (minus rusty screw-bolts snapping) and light was gone instantly and has not bothered me again!
  9. As far as I can tell, that is one heat range warmer...that 6 should be a 5 unless the 99 was different somehow than my 98
  10. Not to sound like Mr consumer protection...but...that doesn't mean that there won't or shouldn't be one (TSB)...I would have kicked some arse too. Those new trucks are too much $$$ to settle for a screw up at a factory, or something over looked!
  11. 88 do you know where WV is?? I am just kidding mang...they use duct for everything...I am sure venge knows whats up! we call it WV Chrome around here! I have seen rubber grommets at tractor supply stores that you may be able to slice open at one end and push around whatever wires and make that leak snug!
  12. no no I didn't get them or the truck...I could buy the truck and part it out for the price in american they wanted...but the the shipping is the deals demise!! ;-)
  13. What a hot upgrade...and yes I actually made contacts in Japan chasing down XPLORx4's headlights---I mean LENSES boys!----and they did not want to sell them seperate of the trucks~~~I had to buy a whole wrecked terrano to get them!!! 1 Question...where is the person with the "this post is worthless without pics" logo?? Quismo~~I love ya, but I am dying to see pics!!!
  14. ---Whoa!!--- Don't use the in the can stuff it will turn into a nightmare! I used some roll on/spray on bed liner in the floor of a vehicle to kill noise and a buddy used it inplace of carpet...it just chips up after about 1-1 1/2 years...like cheap oil paint chip chip chip!!
  15. So...would anybody think I was stupid for powder coating these NISMO's??? They are bronze-bronze! The path when back from vacation is going back to the shop (a shop), somone had mentioned that no one else had these problems with JWT cams and now I know why. The first mechanic did not shim the cam towers properly and now since the lobes on the cams are larger it (when the engine is hot) smashes the lifters down, but they cannot bounce back due to lack of oil pressure---there is no lash in my valves right now--that's the mechanic english of it anyway. So the lifters will get shimmed and the valves readjusted and tested for compression and the diesel noise as well as the strange power band will dissappear as well as the p300 code...the new mech states that since the valves elongate when hot it is essentially never closing completly and losing compression as well as screwing up the A/F mixture this = the 1st mech is an ass and has no clue what the hell is was doing and luckily since I got the A/F meter and a SAFC I have kept myself from putting holes in valves!!
  16. ***NOTE*** Stick with the factory NGK plugs (iridium or other NGK) The Bosch plats are too hot of a plug and will actually casue long term issues when you add mods like an intake. I had these in the truck and after changing to the NGK iridiums, the truck already see better mileage...granted I have cams but these are the plugs made at the OEM burn rate! (rating #5, Bosch #8)
  17. Here is the pic of the 2 put together in the factory strut parts...
  18. Yeah...those are a great price....I left my RR spacers with a local shop that made me a set of 3/4" plate steel spacers in a day and boy did I pay for them!! These are the rocky roads spacer next to it! $115
  19. Kmgar99---At this point---YES! I would like the silver ones...my fam and friends are saying awww just pain 'em....no way these rims are too expensive to re paint and try to explain I would just re-ebay them advertising them right and try to raise funds to get the right shh!! ....do you have silver ones?? The BS on the rims is 39mm---I just don't know what my Neepers are (BS) Kmarg99--did I already ask if you have those?? :o I would love to get this straightened out!
  20. Here is the final guys! The latest and greatest is that I have put NGK Iridiums in and they changed nothing as of yet. I called a private shop with an ASE Mastertech and he had me bring the rig over to listen and tells me that she is shot! Kdding....his theory is that the lifter plenum needs raised by .020" to keep the lifter from bottoming out and perhaps buff some lobes on the cams. The rocker arms are too tight and this is making them bottom out the lifter and when the engine is hot, the valves are longer making this a "sticky" valve condition....so I get missfire. The reality is that with this shim stock he is talking about the truck will breathe better yet and produce more power and as long as no real dmage has occured will be more quiet than I have heard it run since I have had it (since the other lifters had a little chatter on them at 97K miles). This man says he can accomplish in 1 day and will also remove my LSV from the diff adjusting rear brakes accordingly to get my rear stopping power back...the cost??? Approx $400 He also higly reccommends that we all pull the hose from the EGR and plug the BPT vac hose so that this piece of shhhh will not lean out all of our motors. After he did this to mine the AF mixture on my meter reads much more stable and does not fluctuate nearly as wild as it did...so far this mechanic has impressed me! Wish me luck!! ..........incidently my rims came in and I hate them! They are the bronze that I feard they would be! Now I must try to sell these rims! I test fit a rim on the truck with no tire and the bronze is just no good...should I have them painted or try to get seperate rims?
  21. These rims weigh only 14 lbs each opposed to my 20+ lb Chrome Lets go Performance Path! Any ideas on the look of my tires on these wheels?
  22. After many moons of messing with the truck it is coming to its peak! A set of NISMO light weight 16x7 rims!! Hope the tires don't look goofy since my NEEPERS are 16x8!!? and yes I still have a slight missfire which I am leaning to a vac leak in the intake manifold!
