Look for the thread about Land rover rear springs. They (LR Direct) took 4 days to ship 2 rear springs to Vancouver from the UK for something like $140. Before that-locally I was charged $400 for OME springs - they then brought in the wrong ones and told me it would be up 6 months for the correct ones... There are two model numbers that fit. The shorter ones (NRC 9447) give you a 2-3 inch lift, and the longer ones about 4". I haven't lifted my front end, as it seems that lifts at the front can chew up your CV joints pretty quickly due to the more severe angle. I'll be watching this thread for recommendations on front struts that might give about a one inch lift... it won't match the back, but I don't mind a bit of rake...

Used wheel and tire worked out better than I thought. Still need to clean them up, but they ride way better than before.

1st shakedown trip done and dusted, the only thing that needs work on is my front sway bar mounts, by the end of the day they were pretty noisy. Any ways here is some pictures of Saturday arvo wheelin' in the wilds of Tassie. I got a few pics, but I will keep it to pictures including the Pathy to stick to the "random pictures of your R50" mantra, no one wants to see a heap of pictures of the Tassie bush. The crew for the day, mixed bunch, 4, 6, and 8 cylinders all represented ? The day's location Borradaile Plains Hut. Hut was originally a cattle grazers and snarer's hut, the original hut burnt down in the 1950's, but was rebuilt soon after. @mjotrainbrain encouraged me to post this video. There seems to be no simple guides to lift kits, and the difference between spacers and springs, especially in how they affect the front suspension. While I'm no suspension expert, and this video is missing alot, especially in terms of rear lift options (and I forgot to mention the possibility of AC spring top-out, though I haven't had any issues with it myself), here's a small introduction into the lift methods available, as well as the brands that sell them, and an attempt at explaining why spacer lifts affect the suspension geometry different. If there's any info in here thats technically incorrect, feel free to point it out. Im sure there's stuff missing, so feel free to comment. Thanks!
