I was fortunate enough to get to meet Kent (RainGoat) tonight. It's been so awesome to get to meet so many of you guys lately and see how great of a person everyone is (:

I'm definitely jealous of the condition or Kent's car, it is absolutely immaculate inside and out (besides the front bumper). I would have thought it was straight from the factory.

I now also have been inspired to put LED interior lights in, as they look amazing and are way brighter.

I have always preferred my interior lights as dim as possible so it doesn't glare on my eyes at night. I have my truck turned down to the point right before they shut off.

Nice rigs.

Depends on the LEDs you use. When I had my '95, I bought a cheap LED panel off eBay for the dome light. 36 surface mount LEDs or something crazy like that, way too much. I've got some smaller (I think they're 6 diodes each?) warm-white LED panels in Rat Trap now and you'd never know they're not incandescents except that they don't run the battery down if I leave a door open.

I prefer the brilliant white interior lamps. I found that my interior lights end up being crucial for camping or wheeling at night though my gauges are still incandescent bulbs that I keep on the lowest setting for driving.

Exactly. I'm talking about the dome lights not the instrument panel. I use them a lot when I'm camping so it would be really nice to have ones that were brighter and also used less power. I don't think I'd ever want LEDs in my instrument panel, I personally am not a huge fan of the look of blue tinted lights behind the speedometer.

This is the theory I have been following. One particular exception is that I use a red LED in the driver map. I have been advised by my friends in the military that green is really the proper hue as it allows you to see color on a map better & still preserves your night vision. I particularly like that I can defeat all the interior lights & keep the truck dark if I want to-I have good night vision & sometimes set up by moonlight. Attached to the interior passenger side of my inside rear hatch is a flood light with a toggle that I can use to light up the rear. I also have lights under my rear bumper, lateral to the hitch frame, that turn on when reversing. I also have a toggle by the fuel door release lever to turn it on at other times.

My front auxiliary lights were put on in 2004 so they are currently halogen. When I put on a new bumper I am considering my LED alternatives as they draw much less power, are typically more resistant to vibration & work well as floods. My front passenger headlight mount is cracked from my accident & I'm thinking about HID alternatives but I don't really want to spend more than $200 to do both. My PIAAs have worked great for 15 years. I like the hue (bright but not blue), they are brighter & they have been very resistant to burnout (~40-70K miles-many on rough AZ/UT/CO roads). I like Kyles JDMs but I don't have his electrical expertise & they have required a significant amount of time.

Between my parents & other cars, I maintain about 5 vehicles for people & have LED'd the interior of most & some of the exterior of others. My experience has been mixed & has been tempered by their performance over time. Frequently the cheaper ones burn out quickly & some have a low level glow even when off (LEDing a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee was a nightmare). I have used Diode Dynamics with mixed results (not sure they're worth it). DDM Tuning worked well. JDM AStar & iJDMToy have been decent.

Micah, it was great to meet you as well. Hopefully you'll be back next summer. I expect both Jake & I will be Trail ready & Kyle's '03 should be going as well. Brian's clearly already good to go! Maybe Citron might even be able to make it. would be great to send out a pack of 6 R50s.

BTW, I concur, Micah's exhaust sounds great!

Today was a very successful day and I finally got something done on the pathy for the first time in awhile. Rear lift springs!! After a few failed attempts at getting my hands on a set of rear springs for my rig and way too long of driving around with the front higher than the back, I decided to try out some Land Rover springs which is the new thing to do I guess. I think I'm the first one on here to try the 9447's but I could be wrong. They fit right in and were super easy to get on. Huge huge thanks to Kyle for helping me out with the install. I didn't take measurements before, but it looks like they gave me close to 4" of lift from where it sat before with 20+ year old springs and shocks, and I'm so stoked with how it sits not.

It was a very wet, rainy install but it was one of the best days I've had in awhile and was totally worth it. Thanks again Kyle for all the help and letting me use your tools, you're the best man.

Alex does, I think his username is Pathy_02, but he's not really ever on here.

He's got OME HD springs up front and MD spring in back if I remember correctly.

Micah, I see you got to that Taco Bell after all! : )

Is Alex on NPORA?

Safe Drive back to Dillon!

Yeah haha, and thank you!

It rained pretty much the whole drive but my car had no problems at all and I even got pretty good gas mileage!

Definitely have been slacking on posting updates, but certainly haven't been slacking on the build. I moved to bozeman not too long ago and have been working full time 50+ hours a week as a truck driver, so I've finally been getting money and pretty much spending it all. I've done a bunch of little things that aren't worth mentioning, but you're gonna want to see the last few pictures for the ones that definitely are worth mentioning. Before that, enjoy some random pics taken between today and when I last posted.

And now here's the latest upgrade! I'm painting them this weekend so I'll hopefully have better pictures soon, but for now here they are! I'm super stoked how they turned out.

Finally got out and hit some trails with a friend yesterday, it had been way too long since I last went. Got some sweet video footage of some obstacles and also some sends over jumps but I haven't gotten them yet. More uploads to come!bfaba426d827c279d1ae9589b68eba69.jpgbac0c1c58a9cccc0f1f394d1e982cb36.jpg18333516e4fec30b89b53b951ea4da08.jpg86f4a245051e7446f7d25ade10384a18.jpged871383a974a806d3c5c2d72fc399e2.jpg70bc1af4713c5bc40301d2b096dc1f1d.jpg35b5ccb6f90bd6964304f64a55350964.jpg

@mjotrainbrain convinced me to get back on here, so here’s some recent pics. I’ve got a friend in town who has a lifted forester (which actually has the same mirrors as the pathfinder). It’s pretty dope.

I also got a new car a couple months ago, a 2002 Subaru Outback with a 5 speed manual, nicknamed the “swaggin wagon.” I’ve always liked this generation of outback, and I got a great deal on it. I absolutely love it, it’s super fun to drive, does amazing in the snow, gets great gas mileage, and actually can do the 80mph speed limit in Montana. I told myself I was gonna leave it stock but that didn’t last long. Here’s some pics.
