This might be a silly question, but is there an off road cell phone car mount?

I have never used one, so I have been looking a lot of those and I really do not know what to buy...

Wich car mount do you use? Pros? Cons?

Thanks.

Tons of options. I prefer any clamp style window mount. Just google search it and find something you like. The only advice I can give in terms of stuff to stay away from is vent clip mounts, those don't hold up off-road. And don't cheap out either because a good window suction mount needs to be solid, like a GoPro suction mount. I've had cheap ones and they just stopped working after a while. You could also consider cigarette lighter mounts, holds your phone and charges it.

Something like this:

I use a specific bracket for a JK and a case+holster for my phone of choice.

The bracket fits with a trivial amount of bending, mounts using a radio bracket bolt. I drill out the rivet on the holster and bolt it to the mount (I also retain the mechanism that allows it to rotate) using a small socket flathead bolt and nylock.

Since the phone clips into the holster, it's not going anywhere.

I know some of the pictures are gone, but these threads should help with idea's too

Cell phone holder install

MOD: Cellphone mount

interior modifications

Note, the mount that I referenced is still in my truck with the only changes being the actual holster portion changed to match phone models used over time.

Thanks!

There are also a few mounts meant for bikes/motorcycles that use ram/ball mounts. The bracket I used allows for simple bolt on of those mounts, but I found those parts to be a little expensive and bulky. And if not cranked down, the phone will move when off-roading.
