I keep seeing in some of yalls post that there might be a way to lift or level out my pathy without buying a lift, like there is some kind of adjustment bar or something.

does anyone have any idea what im talking about?

You can get some lift in front just by adjusting the torsion bars in the front suspension. I believe you can get about an inch without affecting your ball joint angles and such. There are aftermarket UCAs or ball joint spacers that are supposed to allow you to lift the truck up a little higher and maintain stock or (close to) ball joint angles.

Adjust the torsion bars up front and put in different springs (or spacers) in the rear. All your information will be in the Garage/How To section, right on the first page.

So you're telling me I can wear a genuine pair of momma's suspenders (same ones she wore when i was born), walk out just like that with a pipe wrench in hand while packing a new dip and lift this puppy up 3 inches just like that..... pfft sounds like im guna be getting lucky this weekend at the mud hole...

no but in all honesty thank you guys, ill look into it, but probably will just keep it mostly stock height. I gota research some new tires, bushings, and suspension parts.

*I don't have pics YET* -BUT- I do have a little bit of new information regarding this subject:

About two weeks ago Tx4x4Path helped me (he did all the work in his garage... :blush02: ) install my rubber coil spacers under the rear coils which were a little over an inch in thickness. I got those spacers from O'Reilly auto parts for about 5 bucks a piece. They are complete crap. They have already cracked and splayed out under the weight of the vehicle sitting on them under the coils. As far as I can see, the WD21 has two lift options for the rear:

A - (Most popular) Jeep Grand Cherokee springs

B - Fleurys HDPE scalable spacers *Only spacer option I would recommend after my experience with these shown in the links below*

I have since already procured myself a set of JGJ rear springs off craigslist but have yet to install them.

Don't use these :

Don't use them like this nor under the coil spring...these things suck. Fleurys spacers are the only spacer.

I will have pics soon of my cracked and splayed spacers as they sit under my coils before removing them and installing the JGJ lift, and Tx4x4Path and I are going to re-index my bars at the same time to provide my front lift.

I'd use a 3/4" or 19mm socket and lube the threads of the adjustment bolts first, but yep... Hint: measure from a flat floor to the body crease on all 4 corners and write it down before you start.

You can get 1-2" of lift out of the front with impunity, depending on how far it has sagged from it's factory height, just make the back 1/2-1" taller than the front and you will be golden.

You can make your choices once you have read up on it all.

Well it turns out there wasn't much to see as both spacers had already cracked and fallen apart and were mostly gone having fallen to the road while driving. Here are a couple of pics for what they are worth.

The research that I've done is to crank up the torsion bars 1.5-2" & decide if you want to install aftermarket UCA or ball joint spacers. Replace the front shocks with shocks form a Bronco 2. On the rear, ditch the old coils & shocks, replace with Jeep Grand Cherokee FRONT coils(Preferably from a V8). Use a torch or grinder to cut off the pigtails from the new springs & throw them in (if there is too much of a rake in the rear, thim the coils down a little more, just be sure to remove the same amount as not to lean). Replace the rear shocks with shocks from a mid 90's F-250. I had ordered new MOOG coils for a JGC off ebay for $75 & the four KYB shocks for about $100. I think 4x4parts.com sell the correct UCAs or ball joint spacers.

:scratchhead: .....wait...just a minute, you're telling me that the short, fat springs are the REAR JGJ springs? And the tall skinny ones (that closely resemble our rear springs) are from the front? I've got a pair of each and I know which ones I'm going to use...obviously, but I thought those tall skinny ones were from the rear as well...and as far as shocks go, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to stay with the normal shocks, I'm certainly going to try.

Hey Rambo I don't mean to hijack your thread, not trying to...just think of me posting here as your lift brother and we're in the same boat. I've already taken one swipe at it, I'm like a blind squirrel, eventually I'm gonna find me a nut ....and pretty soon...once I get a chance and a free weekend unburdened with crap, I'm going to finish mine and I'll be able to share my results with you, here in your thread.

And I'm not cutting anything off these babies: 20140811_214051_zpsiwzvfvdx.jpg

264 KG ? Kilograms? What's that about?

Yes, the skinny springs are the front JGC springs which are almost the exact diameter of the rear pathy springs, just lop off the pigtail end (where the spring coils to a smaller diameter) and it should drop right in over the spring perch. I assume the springs from the V8 have a higher spring rate; thus giving you a little stiffer ride, more down travel & a higher ride height. I'm sure the stock shocks will be fine unless your doing a lot of wheeling, without a limiting strap, under full flex you may damage the shorter shocks

With the stock shocks you will top them out over speed bumps and big dips in the road...and if you spring for the ac 3" springs like I did after the jgc coil broke, youll be constantly topped out.

It's fine to keep front shocks stock if u want but u are going to want to use longer rear shocks or you will have the problems adamzan pointed out. I suggest 1995 f 250 single shock model rear shocks if u are on a budget or get some lift pathy rear lift shocks but I wouldn't leave the stock ones in there for very long

Nope, not an Aggie, why? What you got against Aggies? Hell man that's what makes America strong and the guys who'll probably save all our asses, that would be the Agricultural and Military communtity. I'd be proud if my son got accepted to A&M.
