ahardb0dy
So I was looking for another set of Hella H4 headlights like the one's I have in my pathfinder, E-spec type. I found a seller on E-bay that had a few pairs for sale but he didn't provide any info about them. I wrote him before Christmas asking if he could provide the model number. Today I get this reply: "Dear ahardb0dy,The part numbers aren't something we generally divulge, but we more thatwilling to compare the make and model of your vehicle and make sure weprovide you with a set that fits.Yes these are the standardbulbs.-Clint " Divulge part numbers ??? !!! Are they a secret or something?? So I replied with this: "Dear mk1autohaus_2003,Hello,I didn't think the part number would be a secret, just want tomake sure the headlights are designed for driving on the right side of theroad. Some E-code headlights have an arrow on the lens, I am not lookingfor these to use in a VW but the large housing is what I need. Thanks, ifyou can not reveal the Hella item number I will look somewhere else. Thanksfor writing back,Tony-ahardb0dy " Than I receive this reply: " Dear ahardb0dy,Sorry about that, the number is 79567.-Clint " Guess the part number was de-classified !! LOL Really now ?? You are trying to sell an item and don't want to provide info that a potential buyer may ask you for ?? ferrariowner123
I can sympathize with both sides. I can understand wanting to get a hold of a part number, because it's the most accurate way to get information about the specific product, But I can also see them not wanting to, for fear that you'd find it elsewhere for cheaper. -Kyle Edited December 28, 2013 by ferrariowner123
Precise1
Probably to lazy to check at first, then changed his tune when you told him the sale depended on it. If he is a regular on ebay, I'm sure he gets flooded with all sorts people wasting his time and asking random questions... B
